charlotte county we had water nine feet deep all the way up to my front door. We are water logged and needing help with tarps and wood for roof damages if anyone can help.
Everyone needs to watch out for scammers and thieves most of them after a hurricane look like or are the clean up crews from out of state trust me i live where hurricane Michael came through they will look like they're working at a house while stealing everything out of the neighborhood
I don't agree with all of Governor DeSantis' policies; however, he is really really good at dealing with these hurricane events. He's gonna be President one day.

Watching the network morning shows this morning, it doesn't seem Helene was nearly as catastrophic as anticipated. Yes, many homes were flooded, but at least they're intact and most can be fixed up. One individual was all smiles floating in his kayak in his living room. That's the Florida spirit of "we'll get through this."
What? This will cost 100s and 100s of millions to rebuild. My cousins house is gone. Completely gone. Just glad you spent thing it was that catastrophic… clown a$$

It's nice to hear Desantis being a governor and behaving professionally. He could blame the hurricane is on LGBTQ and woke but, peculiarly, he's not. It's a breath of fresh air. Imagine what the GOP could be of they could just get over themselves.

The worst governor Florida has ever had bring back governor Rick Scott, please people wake up governor, Ron DeSantis, put our kids and school bus drivers, teachers in danger in the low poverty, areas, Miami Dade public schools all should have been closed to be on the safe side to assure our children’s safety. It was raining and lightning and flooding while these kids had to catch the bus to school in some areas there are down power lines that has not yet to be fixed with yellow tape around it homestead and Florida City SW areas no child should have to go to school in a storm or sit in school for indoor activities wondering what is happening outside are they safe without their parents during a major disasters whether we get a direct hit in our area or not hurricanes are unpredictable and that was very close and we are very lucky being on the South side at the bottom of Florida all schools should have been closed just to be on the safe side governor Ron DeSantis also turns down federal government funding to make our state look good for the Rich and wealthy, God does not like ugly and you wonder why these storms keep going towards the Florida panhandle Tallahassee wake up people we have a governor that clearly thinks about some, but not all. I hope everyone in the state of Florida is safe and if not, God will get you through it pray and put him first.🫶🙏

The loss of life could have been horrendous...but it wasn't. God be with those who did have a lived one taken. Tens of thousands of people were praying against this storm. It could have been much, much worse. Continue to pray... there is a possibility of more to come. Blessings to all.
I'm continuing to pray. Extremely greatful this wasn't as bad as it could've been. My heart and condolances goes out to all who lost loved ones, and to those who have lost thier homes and everything they have worked so hard for!! Hopefully we can dodge the bullet next time as well!! 💐😊
