People don't understand how much it hurts to be mocked for the way you look when you're a young man.
It's a futboll match
Opponent fans will check the players.
If fans are not drunk they are highly charged , high on adrenaline.
Anyone who is easily triggered should watch cricket/tennis/golf
@@vaquezartup365 Too right, everyone loves to be a victim these days. Whatever happened to building resilience?
@@vaquezartup365That doesn't give any reason to still do it
@@MickeyMichaels348how often would you figure you say this, or something to this effect. i’m thinking the over/under is like..2.5/day?
it could be worse, he could be exceptionally short instead of tall. So not only would people mock him, he'd have no physical advantages either.
42 England games and 22 goals. Peter Crouch is both a very nice guy and an underrated player in his prime.
Underrated? No
wow...those are impressive stats
Dropped from England way too soon.
@@ralphrex9118how is he underrated? Lol at best, he is just decent striker for Epl club. Even he admit it himself lol.
@firdaussyah5297 22 goals in 40 odd games for England makes him more then a decent striker lol
The guy scored over 100 prem goals, instant legend
Imagine if he had bulked up
Imagine if he had dedicated himself to that
He would have been unplayable, big strong and a very decent footballer
@I read that his metabolism didn't let him gain weight. An athlete his height should weigh 90kg minimum but he was just 75kg.
some of the finest EPL goals no less 👍👍
@he doesn't have the frame to put any bulk on. He is a good example of a tall person who is basically stretched.
He's the same height as Hulk Hogan (to pick a random example) and you can see what difference build makes
@@TheIncredibleBeard_ so there's no way with some kind of steroids, he could have reached hulk Hogan's size
Then maintained it with natural methods when the steroids had long left his system?
I absolutely hate bullies in all forms and football has so many. Shame on them. How fantastic is Peter Crouch to come through that having become a brilliant Premiership Footballer and bagging himself a really lovely partner. I wish him all the success and happiness, he deserves it!
part of the game. you must use every psychological edge so your team can win (except racism ofc). like they said, Crouch disappeared when people were coming after him. That's the job well done.
@@MultiJejje Idk about that. I'd rather see my team lose a game than mentally abuse someone about his looks to the point he can't even do his job
Totally agree, it's a vile game, vile fans, sadly vile financial and ethical standpoint too now.
It’s part of the game and the abuse isn’t necessary but we don’t live in a utopia, the best way to deal with them is score and prove them wrong and crouch did that.
im not so sure its classed as bullying really? i mean i can see how it can easily be viewed as that, but i think the majority are just having a laugh.... we sing stuff about everyone, its mostly just banter to throw players off their game. I guess a lot of people will disagree and will be offended by it, only natural i guess
First they ignore you, then they laugh at you, then they fight you, then you win. They ain’t laughing anymore, guy is a bonafide national treasure ❤
ignore, accept embrace
Great at Liverpool, and underrated. For a player who is 6'7, he had brilliant ball control.
His return was poor with us and dreadful start. That's why he was offloaded
@@paulwilliams2663his effort wasn't poor, and the fans appreciate that. He gave it his all until his first goal went in, after what, 18 games or so, couldn't stop scoring then, granted he went missing in the '06 cup final.
@@paulwilliams2663 you could say the same about Darwin Nunez. Only we didn't pay £64million for Crouch.
He wasn't underrated by anyone, in anyway.
And a massive winky
I remember his overhead kick against Galatasaray, it was one of my favourite goals growing up. I didn't knew he had to endure all this abuse. I was always impressed of his goal-scoring abilities, now knowing that he overcame severe abuse, my respect for him has deepened even further
I was going to write this because im a Galatasaray fan. Peter Crouch was a very good player
He done a overhead! I can just imagine a giraffe twirling round!
Interesting how the globalists, decide what acceptable insults are. Why are fans banned for mocking someones skin colour but not height? Both are things that cant be controlled
Galatasaray fan here, that was unbelievable.
this is no abuse it iis motivation.
A great role model for all kids who don't quite fit the "norm".
Well done Peter. 😊
this is true, i was a very thin boy at school, didnt have many friends and didnt like football. then i saw crouch play for liverpool, it boost my confidence and since then i'm a liverpool fan, made many friends who also loves football. you can say crouch made my school life better
tall kids then
Imagine being that insecure and unhappy with yourself that you resort to being hateful towards someone you don't even know because they are different. Crouch was an excellent player and seems like a really genuine and nice guy. Glad he got his success.
Well he certainly shut the critics up!
I’m a Villa fan and I saw him play a reserve match before he turned out for the first team.
That night I noticed that he was the only Villa player to walk along the touch line signing autographs for the kids.
He got my respect that night and I’ve watched, as his career went from strength to strength.
Glad he rode out the early career nonsense. Top player. Top man!
It was easy to focus on his height, which was an asset, but this lad was actually a superbly talented footballer. He played at the highest level on merit. Criminally underrated
Who's laughing now Pete! Gorgeous wife, money in the bank, excellent TV pundit, an excellent football career in the rear view mirror and I have met you at the range at Horton Park and you look cool and are cool, man! Continued prosperity to you, mate!
Footballers can brag about a lot but if the gold digging wife/girlfriend who strips on tv or for magazines for a living and cheats 4 times a weak is a bragging right to you then I am feeling a bit bad for you mate
@@slayerr4365 if you think all women are just out for money and fame and not to be with someone they genuinely love, then that seems like mroe of a reflection on you than it does anyone else
@@TomOrSummat Nice projection mate never said all women but you are an incel if you ignore facts that 90% of premier league footballers wives/girlfriends are "models" strippers for a living and have affairs or leave their partner the second they aren't earning as much anymore.
You have a good 20-30 years of hard evidence showing you this is true at the top end of football if you try to deny it then idk... Think you are on a worship all females path because you have no personality and can't get one of the actual good ones who isn't a gold digger lol
The mutants from Gillingham have got a cheek calling someone a freak. There's more normal looking people in Chernobyl than there is from the skidmark of Kent.

@@alexholmes5026why? If anything he would know more
Living in Gillingham I agree 🤣
"Does the circus know you're here" 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Peter Crouch was a phenomenon. He was very nimble and had very good feet for a tall player. He could hold a ball up well. He was a great player.
He had extremely underrated ball control.
he was garbage
If there's one thing noone can deny, then it's that he's great.

Brilliant player, brilliant person, and brilliant personality. Legend.
You were an incredible baller Pete, I learn something from you, RESILIENCE, persistence, commitment, self belief and strong mentality ❤
amen. bullies are jealous cowards, a human evil sadly
Liverpool Crouch in his prime went on an absolute rampage for a spell you just couldn’t stop him scoring goals, what a character aswell so quick witted and funny. I miss players like him and Jimmy Bullard in today’s game.
It still carries on to this day. Jonjo Shelvey still gets abused for his appearance which he can do nothing about.
Big Man showed the Strength of character and Ability to prove them all wrong.
Saw Peter at Forest, and he was head and shoulders above everyone else on the pitch. Not just in height but in talent, you could see he would play at the higher levels.
😂😂😂
We’ll never forget you at Norwich City,Peter. You were loved and appreciated by the Norwich City family.
Absolutely love Peter Crouch. Loved watching him play. Loved his energy. Still do.
Crouchie was warming up for QPR at Loftus Road during an evening game and all the Wolves away fans started to sing "One Rodney Trotter, there's only one Rodney Trotter"
Im his defence ive lived up them ways. People from wolves had shades of inbred and have the worst accent ever
That is funny 😂
😂😂😂😂
He's always a standout in every game😂
I remember Fulham fans doing similar, shouting "Rodney you plonker!" at him. 😂
He defied all odds n played football at highest level in PL for Liverpool n England 🏴 national team which is not easy task so lot of respect for this guy🙌 given the struggle he had gone through
Scored in a World Cup too.
I was at The Hawthorns that day and when Crouchy came on I’ve never forgotten the chant of “one Rodney Trotter, there’s only one Rodney Trotter” starting up. Was funny at the time, cruel but vividly sticks in my mind.
and I was at who wants to be a millionaire when the cough was happening
"Cruel, but vividly sticks in my mind" 😂
That's literally nothing compared to the worst he got
It's not that bad.
I'm tall and skinny like him, and I'm sure he knows how to handle comments about his apperance same as anyone who's different
Crouch showed what he could do, a very skillful attacker
I watched him play for QPR away at Tranmere way back when. Tranmere could not handle him in the air, he was an obvious threat. It wasn’t just crosses, he could receive a long ball and chest it down when most players had to head it. I remember thinking he was going to end up playing at a far higher level because he was just so hard to cope with, and he had the skills to back it up. So glad he proved all those vile abusers wrong. Good for him.
You'll do for me Pete, underrated, deceptively decent footballer. One of the funniest guys in dressing room according to ledley King, one of my heroes. Finally humble with a beautiful family. Good on yer mate👍👏👍👏👍👏
This happened more than 20 years ago and he still remembers it like it was yesterday. Bullying should be taken more seriously especially when it's against young people.
Under rated player and scored goals wherever he went. I rated him when he was at Southampton.
He wasn't underrated... hate these stupid comments on every single football video.
@@GamingRobioto my opinion that he was under rated. Hate these comments where you have to agree with only your opinion.
How was he underrated? He played for Liverpool, Spurs and England. What more of a rating would you have liked for him?
@@user-dq6se6er8j probably the attitude of many fans who mocked him on his appearance rather than his ability.
He was loved at QPR, one of the few players who gave it his all that season
You are a Legend bro! Loved watching you play!
Never let the haters bring you down💪🏼👊
Decent goal ratio for England he’ll always have cult status welldone crouchie
'Does the circus know you're here?' Gotta admit that's brilliant
It really isn't
Peter is a great player who handle him self very well. He reached the top over the premiership and has a lovely wife and family😊
I would watch this 100%! I love Peter! What an inspiration story!
I played football with him in a beach in Algarve. It was maybe the best footy and one of the best days in my life. He is a very nice guy!
I always thought Crouch was a far better player when it was played to feet and his teammates played normally with him rather than lobbing it up for him to head. It may sound strange for someone with the most headed goals in the Prem but he was not very good at heading the ball- especially early on. He'd often get the technique all wrong. But his touch was fantastic and he was superb at taking it in and having others play off him- like with Van de Vaart.
I never under rated him. Has a superb record for club and Country. Legend.
I like this guy! Very humble and underrated.
Underrated player he scored some bangers in his time 🙌🏽
peter is a legend of the 00s...
An excellent player. Absolutely shocking what he had to endure. He who laughs last, laughs loudest though Peter....
The abuse never stopped for Peter. I remember being at the Emirates watching Arsenal play Stoke. I’ll never forget the bloke sat a few rows in front of me with his 3 of his kids shouting freak every time he got the ball. What a way to set an example for your children.
His touch was always sublime.
Crouch has to be one of the most mentally strong athletes to ever perform.
Gets my respect.
Underrated played, big character, and seems like a good bloke
What a lovely - and talented - bloke!
This documentation is really good and i can only recommend it to everyone who loves Football ❤
At a Chelsea v Liverpool game in 2006 (where Drogba scored an absolute beauty), I was a 17 year-old lad earning £5.50 an hour serving drinks to West London's finest new money wannabe geezers up in the hospitality boxes. I have a vivid memory of watching Crouchie warming up for the game. His range of passing. His touch. His poise. They were a thing of beauty. What a player.
I was there at Albion that day , even being an Albion fan it was evil the abuse he got but our job was to put him off which we did . I remember “You plonker Rodney “ whenever he came up for corners because of his height we were terrified. I remember as well some months later he either got sold or out on loan and had to go through it again , he got the same treatment but fair play to him he handled it better that day . One of the few footballers I would love to go for a drink with , top bloke .
absolute legend! love crouchy
Peter had the last laugh great footballer and chill dude
Peter was a great player!! I totally disagree with any type of verbal abuse. But Peter’s strength of character and talent of scoring goals really shut up those idiots. He’s a true legend.
Quality technician, great football brain, and overall seems like a very decent bloke. Hard to dislike the man.
I remember first seeing him at Southamptin with Kevin Phillips up front.
You coule see the class right away. A very intelligent player, knew how to keep the ball, very good technically, great awareness on the pitch and was a great strike partner. A very decent goalscorer too.
Very underrated throughout his career.
Played at the top level....who's laughing now....well done crouchy
Crouch had the last laugh 😂😂😂
I am a Liverpool fan. i am happy for all his achievements and the positiveness whenever i see Crouchy
Can’t help but like Peter Crouch
Very lucky to have had him
Play for Portsmouth and see him play. Great guy. Everyone loved him and scored some amazing goals for us. Glad he’s done so well for himself. 👌👌
I saw his first game in a friendly at Brentford, got some abuse, that in turn caused a reaction from from the Rangers boys. Said on that day that he was much better with the ball at his feet, but his height was a bonus. 🔵⚪️🔵
TO QUOTE NIGEL FARAGE, "THEY'RE NOT LAUGHING NOW". GOOD FOR YOU SON ❤
Let us not quote that lying snake.
Peter holds the record of most PL goals from header, 56 out of 106 PL career goals.
Well done Peter. You were phenomenal. Let your record speak for itself.
"Does the circus know your here"
Even Crouch smirks a bit when he says that one.💀
Was brilliant in many South Park episodes and it's great to see he learnt to walk after all these years
Saw him play a lot over the years. He was a very good footballer.
My god the 90s kit sizes/dimensions didn’t help did they 😂
Just shows how his determination, talent and strength of personality won through in the end. He’s now viewed not only an a great ex player but also one of the coolest f%ckers around!
So glad he held it together and rose above it.. some don’t.
One of the coolest guys out there..,
I remember raving about him on Internet chat rooms and message boards when he was at Southampton and hoping Manchester United would sign him up and England would include him in their squads. Was happy to see him eventually play for a top club like Liverpool and also play for England. Top player who could have done even more damage had teams strategised around his game more.
Played in a champions league final, amazing, good on him
liverpool
And scored at a world cup!
Well done Peter. I didn’t know you suffered like that. Great courage my friend. Shame on all abusers!
He was a freak because he managed to score so many and some absolute beauts/scissor kicks and volleys that most players dream of scoring.
Peter Crouch is an absolute Liverpool legend. You can tell it was his favourite time in his career as the Anfield faithful never judged, they just wanted him to do well, and were sad when he left. YNWA Pete, plus when I met him he was a really nice guy.
Crouchy had the last laugh though….
Yep, hard to find a decent woman
Great player. Beautiful style.
Impossible is nothing to the man that believes. Peter Crouch was an Enigma and a Legend.
Now a multi millionaire following a successful football career and an absolute worldy as a missus.
Who's laughing now? 😂
Also can’t think of anyone who dislikes him now everyone loves crouchy!
@@JoshGriff2000A good lad. Good craic. Never takes himself too seriously.
Wow abused for being tall, the level of football fans is always impressive, loved you at Liverpool glad to see you have a good career afterwards as well.
"does the circus know you're here?" Is brilliantly funny and extremely mean at the same time
Will definitely give that a watch
You can have Crouchy but when you have Niko and Benji too it's a bargain.
OK 'arry
He's always a standout in every game😂
I hyped for this. I love crouchy!! Talented player, one of a kind, proved ALL the doubters wrong haha
“ Does the circus know you’re here.” I wish I’d been there during that chant. Sounds like hilarious fun.
Now everyone just has to sing genetic songs.
As somebody who has a growth condition (also making me Peter Crouch's) height, I can relate to being taken the p out of. As a youth I would've definitely been intimidated by all the mocking but I'm 35 now and I think my heights actually forced me to act confident...even if I am naturally shy. When you're 2 metres tall there's absolutely no hiding place and as I say...I think it's helped me in the end.
I'm 6" 4 which probably is " normal " tall although 3 inches smaller than Crouch lol but yeah I've always had tall jokes from school age but maybe luckily I've rarely been tallest person in any group settings I've been in so don't always stand out
@@jonblazeincdamn where do u live that ur not usually the tallest at 6’4?😂
@@ay.fem1yea Fr I’m 6’3 and usually the tallest😭maybe he’s in the netherlands
Loved him at Portsmouth. I think he is a great player. Very decent with his feet for his height and obviously a huge aerial threat. That season we had prosineki playing him the service. Amazing team.
If I remember correctly Ian Ormondroyd "Sticks" had a similar welcome from a section of the home Millwall fans in early 1988 when he scored the winner at the Den for Bradford City.
This is just as bad as racism in my opinion. Crouchys a legend
He played a full career of top flight football and played for England, how can you even question him, the fact he even got scouted should of removed any doubt, managers, clubs and scouts know your football.
Wow, Peter was already popular by the time I started following the Prem and English football regularly (I'm from the US and was pretty young around the time he started playing). He seems like such a nice guy from everything I've seen, so it's sad to hear that he went through this at such an young age.
Went on to be one of the most likeable players to ever play for England. Not to mention scoring one of the best goals I've ever seen, at Stoke City
Very good player and very good guy, both liked and respected widely. And he shut the opposition fans up the best way, by having an excellent career.
The best and the most skillfull tall footballer ever!Simply THE LEGEND❤
The goal at stoke was absolutely incredible, possibly my favourite goal to watch
