11 years ago, I when I had a problem that I can not share to anyone, I was listening to all of these songs. I was at the lowest moment of my life but now when I look back, I want to congratulate myself for not giving up. I would not have experience the life I am having now and have not met my dear husband. I thank God for guiding me all through the way.

I used to run into this gentleman occasionally around the U Texas campus in Austin in the 70’s. He was always cordial and even modest. This was before he rose to fame, of course. I saw him several times later after Oscars and Grammys. He was more guarded but when I reminded him of a few details, warmed up to me. He is a superb guitarist on electric and acoustic.
I grew up in Austin and used to go to sleep listening to his first album and thinking about my first girlfriend in 1980. His music will always remind me of summer days at Zilker Park and Barton Springs.
'Sailing' is my all-time fav song...has been since I first heard it in 1979...Finally saw, (and met), Chris in London, (twice now), and he is one of my musical heroes! So glad he has made as best a recovery as possibly from his harrowing illness! More 'Sailing' to come, I hope :)
Friend of ours killed in high school back in 80, this 8 track was in my car, and we listened to sailing when we were leaving the cemetery. To this day I still remember, and it kind of closed the mood.

ive had a revisiting only through a passing request for '70's' hits. ha ha....the pivotal breakthrough 5 grammies was in the 80s. Back then, i liked jazz, R&B, avantgatde
...pop love songs didnt suit me then. 30 yrs later? wow. thud. i replay 'spinning' , 'i really dont know anymore' which is completely inspiring & speaks to me now. Christopher Cross is a timeless balladeer speaking to all hearts....
The first time I heard his songs , it was in Toronto 1982.. in 2024 ,in Malaysia … brings back much memories and lots of smiles.

I used to run into this gentleman occasionally around the U Texas campus in Austin in the 70’s. He was always cordial and even modest. This was before he rose to fame, of course. I saw him several times later after Oscars and Grammys. He was more guarded but when I reminded him of a few details, warmed up to me. He is a superb guitarist on electric and acoustic.
I grew up in Austin and used to go to sleep listening to his first album and thinking about my first girlfriend in 1980. His music will always remind me of summer days at Zilker Park and Barton Springs.

'Sailing' is my all-time fav song...has been since I first heard it in 1979...Finally saw, (and met), Chris in London, (twice now), and he is one of my musical heroes! So glad he has made as best a recovery as possibly from his harrowing illness! More 'Sailing' to come, I hope :)

Friend of ours killed in high school back in 80, this 8 track was in my car, and we listened to sailing when we were leaving the cemetery. To this day I still remember, and it kind of closed the mood.

Amazing. I bought his first album Christopher Cross, Christopher Cross in 1980 and still have it today. I was in the U.S. Air Force and lived in the barracks at the time. The whole first floor heard this album on my Techniques stereo with tower speakers.
