    Very good job Igor, but I would not spray solvent into the bottom of the trans for fear of contaminating the new oil. I would spray cleaner on cloth only and wipe gasket area instead.

      Reasonable notice, but there is nothing to be worry about, because what I used is a quick evaporated surface cleaner, which disappears without any stain. So it doesn't make any influence on oil.

    Nice job. Quick question, how's the performance with the gasket? I've seen online that people mostly recommend using RTV because they've had leaks with the gasket.
    Also, saw that the complete flush can have a negative effect and cause slippage - Scotty Kilmer and ChrisFix had some videos about it. any comments on that??

    • @igorpestun8703
      @igorpestun8703  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      It's ok to use gasket, if it's soft, if gasket is iron, leaks can appear. If you want to use RTV, it's good too, but make sure you use specialized one, and give it some time to get dry, before pouring the oil. If you change oil often, then no issues will occur.

    The 2020 CX-30's (2.5 L AWD) front differential, has a major problem. The fill plug has a metal bracket that partially covers it. You cannot remove the plug as it is. Could you make a video that would show how to move the differential enough that drivers could do a fluid change? Mazda fixed the problem on the 2021 and newer CX-30's. Maybe it would be possible to swap a older bracket with a newer one? So far Mazda has blown me off for any kind of a fix. The dealerships have told me that the differential is "unserviceable". You have to love Mazda for easy unobstructed access for this job. My wife's previous Lexus had a few sides right next to the frame making it a little difficult to do this job. I also see you are using red Idemitsu ATF instead of the Mazda FZ blue. I know it's been said that Indemau makes the blue Mazda FZ fluid but the the exact specs may be a bit different other than the meaningless blue dye. Here in America we have easy access to Valvoline Max Life ATF which says it meets Mazda FZ spec but I'm leary about using it.

It is dangerous for gearbox to change all at once, because dirt that contains inside can stuck the valve body, and transmission might fail. Or you can change it with flushing on special machine, and after change oil, change filter and pour new oil, it's more expensive but more safety. He stated that it would be possible to do a drain/top-up and the TCM will notice the change in performance and re-adjust. Should I just change the filter and the oil located in the oil pan which is approximately 4.3 Liters or should flush the whole transmission oil ?

      i decided to remove the air intake and found the dipstick. Its in such a bad location under a hose. I couldn't get any of my ratchets to reach that 10mm bolt. I will be buying a longer extension and hopefully can reach it that way. They really don't seem to want us to be able to do this.

      No, it didn't. And this is the sign of a good workable transmission. It means that oil service was made in time.

      @@ginog5037 I never use rubber gasket, because it is always leak. I use paronite or sometimes metal gasket. If gasket is metal, I apply a thinnest layer of sealant, just to clue it. All gaskets I installed, are still not leaking, from service to service. Customers are happy.
