Thank you for the video. Just a quick tip on measuring your yard, you can use google map and right click on the map and there’s an option of measuring the area you highlighted. I know the map is not up to date but it will give you a general idea.
Good afternoon, thank you for your video. I just purchased the liquor fertilizer because as a senior citizen, the bags are just too heavy for me to carry. Since I know my entire yard is 1,000 square feet hopefully, I'll be okay. Thanks again.
Are these liquid fertilizers safe for St Augustine grass? What to use to kill weeds on the same grass. I think they should put a disappearing dye in the liquid o show where you sprayed. Thanks for you tutorials.

Hello pollo. How are you? You have amazing content. I was wondering if you could help. I have a poa problem in my lawn just a few here and there. Can you recommend a post emergent spot treatment that I can use for this. I’m in Long Island New York. I have a KBG lawn with a mix of tttf. I appreciate you. Thank you.
One question maybe your experience will help my answer but when fertilizing cool seasons grasses. Should at any point you stop treating if temps are 90° or higher...?
@Crisco219 It all depends. If your lawn is stressing out, you don't need fertilizer. You need water. If it's green, you can still feed it, BUT I wouldn't feed it a lot. No more than 1/4 of a lbs per 1,000 sqft. I haven't fed my lawn since the beginning of June, and it still looks good and green, so I'm not gonna feed it. I'll save my fertilizer for September. Just remember, fertilizer pushes growth, and cool season lawns wanna chill in the hot summer. You CAN feed it, but it isn't necessary.
@Crisco219 depends on the weed. I could be wrong, but I don't think there is one for crabgrass. What I would normally do is if I had to spray weeds right now, I would just spray early in the morning when it is the coolest part of the day.
Bro do you have any recommendations for weed killer, non pre emergent. Im currently seeding as well and dont want to prevent the seeds from germinationg. I picked of some Spectracide concentrate liquid but after reading the results im not yet sold. I havent used it yet. I want to get other options before I do.
Hello Cadaddee, if you're seeding, focus on seeding and worry about the weeds later. They do have a Scott's product that has mesotrione in it that will prevent weeds from popping up and won't hurt your seed. When I've used mesotrione, (Tenacity) I noticed my seed germinating slower, and to be honest, while we are headed into warmer temperatures, I wouldn't want to slow the germination of the seed down. So focus on growing the seed and spray the weeds after your 2nd mow on your new grass. As far as Spectracide, use what you have before you go and purchase more weed control. If you still want to use another option, go with Ortho
When they use the restroom, spray some water on the spot that they used it at. Their urine is burning the grass, but if you wash their urine off of the grass blades after they use it, you should be fine
I'm sorry, Ms. Sharon. I wish i could, but I can't give you a quick answer. There are a lot of factors that go into it, like what type of grass you have? What condition is it currently in? etc. I'll need a lot of information from you.
@@PoloFieldsLawnService I live in East Texas where we have summer pretty much year round. Well can I take a picture of my grass and send it to you??😁😁😁
Hello Quandra, do you know how much granular that you put down per 1,000 sqft? Im not judging you, but in my opinion, you could have just gone with one or the other. Like I stated in the video, if it works for you, keep doing it 👍🏾
@@PoloFieldsLawnService Soooo my front lawn is 3300 sq feet. I put down 4 lbs. Im really just doing stuff 😂 I am in SC with centipede grass. Fingers crossed 🤞🏾
@user-qj8hy7oh8y Woeeeeeee, studies show that centipede grass doesn't need a lot of nitrogen. Maybe only 1 to 2 lbs per 1,000 sqft for the year. I would hold off on any additional fertilizer applications for the year.
@@PoloFieldsLawnService I only did it once last year around this same time and it worked fine I guess… I do have some bare spots near the road. Can I put down seeds and top dress it???
Polo once I started using liquid fert I never looked back. Liquid is so much fun 😂😂😂
I agree with you, Benji 💯

Thanks, again. I've never used liquid. I will now!

Great suggestions! Most of the time I use granular in both Spring and Fall but I have used liquid a few times.
Thanks, Thomas. I normally stop using a granular when the temperatures rise but take full advantage of it when the temperatures are cooler.
