Saw many of it live from Liwa. The Liwa atmosphere is truly unique and really hard to express it in words. The place is filled with loud cars/Buggys/ATVs.
Apart from these competitions, You get to see the locals just casually driving up the dunes with their modified SUVs and buggys pretty much all the time. I look forward to being there next year as well. An amazing place💯 . Finally, thank you for sharing these amazing clips with rest of the world ❤️

Love these trucks thanks for the upload especially the engine pov shot. Those guys must pump crazy amounts of money into those engines, usually they go pop after a run or two!

I love these videos, this a great Motorsport. Would be great to see some of those Icelandic formula off road dudes go out there. Or maybe these guys could go to a sand pit in Iceland :) maybe invite those crazy rock bouncers from the states as well.

First, they did street drifts in fwd cars, then they started doing crazy hillclimbs, now they have this. LOL.

Cool video its unbeliveble to see how red the exhausthousing on the turbo but not meltdown or get broken its hot.
I am always surprised by the lack of fire protection these drivers use. They are highly strung engines which often catch fire where the fire crew will take some time to get there. And they seem to prefer to roll a flaming car back down the hill if possible which kind of makes sense. But despite this there are no gloves, open faced helmets and basic fire suits. Even if it isn't in the regulations you would think they'd invest in some top fuel level fire gear. Burns are no joke and they can cause injuries that you will carry for the rest of your life.
Is there going to be a pit video too, where there's more info about the cars?

In some categories they rule out paddle tires but sometimes they allow it

Form what i know as local the red light at the top the wider you drift around it the more points you get .. we call its half moon 🌙 in Arabic the more accurate it you will the price For example look at 2:33
.. also the drifitng before reaching the red light plays a huge rule .. Normal driver will flip and its a deadly Flip gotta be careful

That driver in the white Toyota Hi-Lux must have been gutted engine on fire 🔥 had to be put out with sand because Pugh, Pugh, Barney McGrew, Cuthbert, Dibble and Grub the Trumpton toy town firemen had rolled the fire tender.
Earlier they ejected Dibble out the back going to another fire 🔥🧑🚒

Twin turbo V8s, 700 at least 1000 probably, 1500 for the big boys.. I have no idea tbh
@@mcspikesky these things sound insane.. to me witch they sound like they are 1000 to 2000 plus especially the v8s. They sound like they are funny car motors lol
@@mcspikesky I've rode in a few dune buggies that was about 300hp max and it felt crazy... I don't think I could carry the size of marbles the guys do to ride in these things

And seems that they have absolutely zero power without boost. Maybe a little higher compression basic engine would help. I might be wrong but thats what it sounds...

I wouldn't say the money paid to construct and thrash these machines is exactly invested.

drifting i understand, grip/ time attacks etc i understand. drag race i understand. it all have clear vinners and losers etc.
@@grapsorz it's their take on the saudi drifting style which was popularized in the mid 2000s by taking FWD cars and driving them extremely fast on wide highways. The point here is to make as wide of turns as possible while keeping momentum I think. Hope that helps!
@@Labergemusic and what you talk of as "drifting" have nothing to do with the sport drifting. you cant judge and make a winner from sliding around civilian cars on the street.
