@@George_Lewis on a gun like this is not really too critical as the frame is already beaten as hell, but on a minty gun you definitely want to use that every time. Glad it helped. Thank you for watching and commenting.
I walked into my local gun shop to browse around because I was in the area and saw one of these and IMMEDIATELY asked to look at it. I thought it was a Walther PP at first, but the price was what really triggering my interest, and the guy explained to me what it was. I never heard of it before, so I did a quick look up on my phone, then bought it. I still haven't had the chance to fire it yet. So far my only complaints are it's literally the worst double action trigger I've ever felt, and good luck finding magazines for it. The only place I could find any were in the $80 range. Still, a fascinating piece of history. There are Glock guys, Sig guys, CZ guys, etc, I'm a surplus guy. Overall, I'm still very happy with it. It feels really good in the hands.
@@gavinlamp5426 agreed; the double action pull is horrendous. Single action is solid with a short reset. I really like the pistol. I might have a hack for mags and I’m gonna post on that in a week or two.
Check Numrich arms for correct 7.65mm Magazines sold under the Kassnar name as they did import some of these Feg's back in the day. also can be found under other names as well feg made these pistols for export under various names and importers over the years.

Those two 6 witness hole Mags you got there are for the PA-63 9X18 pistol and will cause your AP-MBP 7.65mm/.32acp pistol to jam. the 7witness hole 7.65mm Mag. is the correct one for your pistol. people always buy the PA-63 mags and complain that the AP-MBP pistols are jam o matics. i bought mine cheap cause they said it jammed all the time. it was fine they were just trying to use the wrong mags in it. i run the correct mags in mine and it has never failed one time.
@@richbutler7828 yea I learned that after making this video. You can modify the feed lips and they won’t cause malfunctions: the ones I show in this video were modified before I got them and do not cause malfunctions at all. I have modified 3 more and they also do not cause malfunctions.
@@FreedomsLife1776 Yeah, Most dont understand there is a difference in them. and just complain the pistols are no good. i bought mine for 75 bucks for that very reason. Usually when there is a problem with a known to be solid military surplus firearm check the nut behind the trigger first. LOL
@ damn that’s a good deal! I’d love to grab one or 10 for that price hahah they are phenomenal pistols. With the firing pin safety I’d say they are a better pistol mechanically than the PP or PPK.
I have one of these pistols, however, I don't have any FEG magazines. I use Walther magazines and they are mediocre. The slide won't lock open after the last round. The mazazines often drop out during firing. With a full magazine the slide won't strip a round from the magazine and chamber it... the slide hits the round and stops from going forward into battery. It functions OK when I load only 5 rounds into the mag. Too bad... I like the pistol but it isn't reliable for anything more than plinking at the range. .
@@George_Lewis that’s very unfortunate. I really think the only major draw back to owning and using one of these pistols regularly is the very limited availability of magazines. I was wondering how close a walther mag is, I keep meaning to grab one of my mags and see how similar they are side by side. Might be a way to convert a magazine to work in it perfectly. Thank you for watching and commenting. I hope you find some FEG mags soon as a fair price!!

@@FreedomsLife1776 Thank you for your kind offer: I'll have to see if the lumber I have in the garage will be bought by a guy whom has elicited some interest in it: it would be enough for me to buy one of the .32's from Atlantic; but the models look VERY 'iffy' cosmetically, but after watching you video, it gives me greater confidence in replacing some of the 'basics' of the internals (though I've NEVER changed out such parts in my life-been thinking about checking out SDI for a basic Wheel Gun Course and Small Semi-Autos classes-and hopefully they'll be affordable.). Mine also tends to run better with the hotter loaded 73gr. Euro made 7.65mm ammo Geco, S&B and the like. some of the weaker 71gr. U.S. made .32acp ammo can cause jams in most all of the older European made 7.65mm pistols.
