- On February 29, 2016, Mary Sarah auditioned on season 10 of The Voice with "Where the Boys Are". All four coaches turned
their chairs for her, and she chose Blake Shelton as her coach.
Mary Sarah is a country music singer and songwriter. Mary Sarah began performing in church at the age of 8, and began to appear on radio stations and at several regional Opry Theaters. She was signed to the Osbrink Talent Agency in Los Angeles at age 11, and in 2007, at the age of 12, toured as a featured lead vocalist and dancer in Kidz Bop for six months.

@@aydenshonk I didnt view the series much longer after 10. I saw bits and pieces of several seasons but never got as invested as I was season 10. MarySarah, Paxton and Alisan Porter werw definitely my 3 favorite artists from that one. But i enjoyed everyone. Kata Hay literally yodeled for me on Periscope before that app died on their way to elimination show because i asked her to after she said she yodeled 😂. Annoyed the whole van. If anyone from that season sees this, sorry 🤣.

I come back to this performance every once in a while since it aired. That season has many great singers. I'm glad someone saved this video since they took it down from the oficial page.
I had the pleasure of working in a recording studio with Connie Francis, and I can tell you two things about Connie: 1.) She is the consummate professional and a perfectionist; and 2.) She would love Mary Sarah’s performance of this classic.

No one can sing this like Connie Francis, but she sounded pretty unique herself.
I saw her preform live today and she sang this and it was wonderful her sound is so full and just wow. I think she’s better than any super famous singer.

It still blows my mind that this insanely talented young woman and I used to live on the same street and I used to be friends with her Brother. The first time I heard her sing was in her Father’s church. She sang Jesus Take The Wheel by Carrie Underwood and sang it flawlessly. I knew as soon as I heard her sing that she would be on TV one day. I wasn’t wrong. 👏🏻

Connie Francis still does the definitive version of this song. Mary Sarah mixed up the lyrics at the beginning and needs a little stronger breath control. She's really breathy.
Connie Francis will ALWAYS own this song, but Mary Sarah did an excellent cover of this.

Oh crazy - I heard this when it aired originally but didn’t realize I knew her from when she was a little girl. My uncle was her agent. Met her at kidz bop I think. Small world.
Great version, but Connie had a clearer voice and those notes she hit, especially in the middle of the song. Many consider Connie's recording of this song to be a perfect recording.
The Connie Francis version is a masterpiece.
