I hope your Go group continues to grow and flourish. Even though I'm half-way round the world, you have a knack of making people feel that they're there, and learning with you all.
I started to watch this video and thought, "I can't understand all this stuff lol", but playing a few games later, I notice that I have been playing some moves like you guys teach here, thanks for the videos, I will watch more videos from now, really helpful!
I didn't take the time to watch these Dan Showdown lectures when I was first watching your channel, but I really really enjoyed this content. I learned a lot just by listening to your thoughts, and it was such a fun experience. Thank you for pointing at these in your latest video.
I love this idea of you two commenting your moves. And you are really sticking to it, not giving up after 10 moves like other videos out there usually go! It's funny to see you disagree on which move is better. Thanks for uploading!
This is definitely one of your most entertaining videos, as well as educational. I spent the entire time reading, listening to your comments, playing out variations in my head and sometimes going "yesss" when you played my predicted move. Of course, the game was also full of moves I couldn't predict and that's great. I hope you will play some more games with Andrew and publicize them in this way. It's a shame you were short on time here. Keep it up! :
Hi Nick, I met you in Seattle when i was visiting. Thank you so much for your videos. I really enjoyed Andrew and heard about his class. Having both of you play was a treat i throughly enjoyed this video!
I actually learned a lot from this video.I´m a chess player that is trying to learn to play Go and you guys made a great job on making me to like this wonderful game.
I want to see you fight more Dans in class. I feel I learn the most from these battles. Both moves and philosophies of other strong players. Time gets in the way though. I was entertained the entire time. but it's probably asking too much to take away the timer, or do it completely seperate from class. A go fight club of sorts, hahah. Well, it's an idea anyway. >O
Loved this video ! I enjoyed this thoroughly ! Loved the interaction between you and Andrew.- both very funny and educational. Nick, please, please, please, do bring in more of these commented matches !
Thanks for your videos Nick. A few weeks ago I only knew Go as the game AI is trying to beat. I watched a documentary on Go called "The surrounding game" thought it was really cool, tried to play was horrible at it. I have watched a few of your videos I am still horrible but atleast things make sense now and my games looks more official and most important of all I don't get demolished within the first few minutes. I still get demolished but now it just takes a little longer. I have learned a lot just from watching a few of your videos Thank you!
I'm one hour in and this video, more than any others, made me want to learn more about go. The dialogue between the two players, when they talk about potential moves, it looks really fun. It's almost as if it was a cooperative game at some point (it's not, but it feels like it at times)
I'll add my thanks to the lot. This is the second match between the two of you that I watched (I began by the last one, my mistake) and I enjoyed it as much as the first one. A live game is so much funnier than a formal review on a pro game, while witnessing the thought process of the two of you and your differences in opinions make it illuminating on style matters and highly educational. There's just one thing I already said in the other video ('Andrew Jackson sucks at Go'), that is two hours is very long. This is just an idea, but you could do that kind of thing with a clock, maybe with only one commenting while the other is thinking and vice versa... I agree that wouldn't be the same as to hear you two converse on the situation at hand (though you could do that in the review stage) but then the video would be contained in a more audience-friendly kind of format, like 1 hour. But hey, I already watched two 2 hours videos and intend to watch the third one when I have free time again, so maybe that isn't too long after all.
Man this video makes me love Nick even more - he's funny but not snarky, authoritative while being kind and educational. The other teacher seems like an arrogant a-hole.
Very exciting game. I liked every move in the fuseki. Very valuable comments, and very fun humor :) . It is a little sad that Nick mistaked with livind in the left side, even i have seen that it would be miss (gained nothing with osae). Andrew was taking more time, especially in the end of the game, but Nick could take time too.
Oh and like the other guys already mentioned, I would also love to see Andrew upload some his own SDK lessons sometime. How can we convince you to do so, Andrew? Come on man, do it for the go kids (that would be us)!!!
Though it probably wouldn't have helped black. I found it interesting that black did have a endgame tesuji because of 10-1. B could 13-2, W 13-3 taking b stone. After B 12-1, W can only 14-2 allowing b to play 11-1, because w 11-1 is self-atari. After B 11-1, W 13-1, B 9-1.
this is by far the most entertaining one I've seen, these two have great chemistry

yes! I totally agree

I'm 12k on KGS right now and I feel this series of lectures is perfect for someone my level, glad I found this.
Are you still 12kuy????
@@vasilisdaltas4833 Well, is he????????
Andrew is one of those sassy unapologetic nerds

I'm begginer go lover and i want to thank you, Nick. Your lectures is a really great start-up. You can think you kindled in me the go passion :)
Really cool to get your thinking and analysis guys. Well done. Do more!
I'm pretty new to playing GO and this is one of the best youtube videos I've seen (although I have only watched a few so far). Keep making videos :)

Will Andrew J ever post videos from his single digit kyu class? A lot of folks here in NYC would love to see them.
This was very informative and fun to watch. The banter made it that much better!

Very entertaining and like everyone else says, we would love to see the sdk lessons too!
"C'mon I'm not gonna sit on you!" I just love this lesson LOL :-D
This is such a beautiful game. I'm still a beginner, but this taught me a lot.
Wow, I love the other guy's attitude, and the banter you guys had was fantastic.
Bravo. Your knowledge in educational psychology are great.
Amazing! Why doesn't the other teacher uload his lectures too?
I'd watch the hell out of them =)
Man this video makes me love Nick even more - he's funny but not snarky, authoritative while being kind and educational. The other teacher seems like an arrogant a-hole.
definitely enjoyed this upload! thanks very much for your work, its much appreciated and i look forward to more :D
tapping one's stones indicates impolite lack of empathy as well as hypernervousness.
Great lecture :) You should bring Andrew along a lot more ! :)
Fascinated lecture.
Thanks for sharing.
This is one of your best videos, Nick.
Loving the dynamic duo, will there be more like this?
Very enjoyable! Thx a lot Nick and co
Wow, the first appearance of Andrew Jackson!
That was totally an Ancient Aliens reference at 44:20. Well played.

It is very bizarre watching strong young people play go. After years of only playing with crotchety old geezers.
Super fun to watch!
very funny presentation ....good job guys...
Nice. I found the banter quite entertaining.
The rocketship strikes!
Awesome Vid again! I hope Andrew shares his SDK videos :) plz?
Watch the rematch here: th-cam.com/video/KguDwqG4RqI/w-d-xo.html

I like Zei Wei's idea at 30.28

At 1:30:00 Black could have captured the two whites thus preventing his four getting stolen and claiming more space for himself. Go is so much fun!
+GimmeACookie He didn't want to play that ove because white would live beneath his group
