    "Squeezing the tube of toothpaste all over yourself" was an EXCELLENT image! And funny too.

    Thank u for this video. I stopped playing go for a while and lost some of my fighting skills so this helped a lot. I played some games and it went well.

    literally forgot all the fundamentals, and just fight all the time. I notice I play aggressively 100% of the time, and that works out well against sdk but not higher ranked players. I played a 2d rated bot and lost extremely badly somewhere north of 60 points. Played more standard joseki and balanced. Still lost but somewhere around 40 points, often getting closer to 30. One game almost beat the damn thing. So yeah getting back to basics is very useful

    Hi! I just started playing go today, and my friend directed me to your channel (keep up the good work btw). Are there any particular order I should watch these lectures? or which video should I start with?

      As someone who's seen all his videos I think you could manage by just watching them from oldest to the newest. MAYBE watch the game reviews after a dozen or so educational videos, might get more out of them then. "Where to play in the Opening" is a good video to start from though, as are all videos about opening

    Maybe I missed it, but with the cross-cut sequence beginning around the 21 minute mark, why shouldn't black extend to 3-18 instead of 2-17? Or is that a reasonable play too?

    Both moves (3-18 and 2-17) are symmetric in reference to the diagonal. So they're the same - one like a mirror image of another.
    However, were the board different and one side would be more important than the other, then you should read out the outcome of the cut and extension and evaluate where you would become stronger afterwards - then play either 3-18 of 2-17 accordingly, because then the board would no longer be symmetric.

    I see that I guys can see if a group can make an eye even if the group is only three stones. I understand the rule of what is an eye. But what's a good video into watch to develop eyes or reading out making an eye for a small group

    53:00 why is this an option? Black can easily atari at 9-3. I don't see how 10-3 ends up well for white

    • @jonatanandvanie7493
      @jonatanandvanie7493 5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      If black atari at 9-3, white extends and threathen 2 black stones on the left. And if black goes to save those 2 stones, then white will make double atari at 9-4

    is there a reason the 2nd 1/2 of this is just a black screen or is that some kind of error on my end.

    30 min++ Low Chinese Fuseki, no matter what, B advantage in that fight. W may live on the corner but what B get in return, is much much more. I just think that you should point out that.
