I don't know why, but to my mind, this was a 1950s Siberian prison that was abandoned by its guards suddenly overnight in the deep winter of 1971; reasons unknown. Only a single incomplete folder I stumbled across as an intern working in Moscow in the summer of 1987 mentioned the "incident". 80% personnel extracted overnight. 14 missing. No mention of the 86 prisoners kept there or what their crimes were. Only the screams in the snowstorm as the survivors fled. I was sternly ordered to stay quiet on the matter & never bring it up again. The exact location of the prison had been removed from the file, and a single word in English had been hand written hastily at the lower right: "keter".
Can anyone with knowledge of this place or event please explain to me further what happened here? I have always wondered...
[Again, just a work of fiction this video brought to mind]
