    Hey everyone! We hope you enjoyed the video. Obviously it's a little different but we are still super new to this and to us it feels like an important part of the overall journey. We love any type of feedback, thoughts and questions you might have. It means a lot and actually helps us to be more visible on TH-cam. We are not only new to bicycle touring but also that whole video thing and it's not as easy as it might look. Thank you so much for your support! Arev & Mathias

    About derailleur mount: If it's make of steel, you can bend it, If it's from aluminum... big risk. You defiantly can find any type of mount. Even for 25 years old bicycle. Of coarse only for changeable aluminum mount. Steel mount is not changeable. You can find every thing in Ali--express for 3-5 dollar...
    I think I have seen already all your episodes, And I can say: Your video production has improved tremendously in the last year. Although already as beginners, it was quite well.

      Thank you so much. Yes, we come a long way in some ways 🤣
      Arev's bike is all steel, so we could bend it back in position.

    Wow, it looks like you two have had more bad weather and more mechanical problems in your first few weeks of touring than my wife and I have had in all our touring (over almost 10 years now). But you have a great attitude, which will stand you in good stead for the rest of your journey. Stay safe, and happy trails!

      Fingers crossed! Thanks Peter.
      Well our bikes are about 10 years old on average, so that might be part of the problem, but now we feel we are in a good place with them.
      And about the weather, we would probably not start in November in France again, but we've made it, right? :-D

    Funny how you rediscover your country when it's seen through the eyes of people from another country :-) Thanks!

      Totally! We saw a video recently of another couple that had been touring the same part of the route and it was so interesting how their perception differed from ours in many ways even though we all just passed through.

    Well done! Working through problems with bikes, learning to cooperate with each other under stress (perhaps a side of yourselves you have not seen before?), navigating in cities! The warnings of Marseille remind me of another traveler's story. In city "A" he was told that he should be very careful in city "B" as they are all thieves and murderers. When he arrived in city "B" they were shocked that he made it out of city "A" alive, because everyone knows they are all thieves and murderers. Good Journey.

      Hey Randy! Yes, learning to do just that, instead of not killing each other, is actually one of the many reasons we are doing this!
      Trying to overcome prejudice is another and probably much harder to achieve as we see ourselves falling in that trap all the time.

    I enjoy your videos! How have you found the overall comfort of using a Brooks saddle? I'm looking to possibly get one! 🙂

    • @AmazingWorldBikeTour
      @AmazingWorldBikeTour  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you Clare! We are actually quite happy with comfort but on the other hand lack experience with other types of bicycles. As far as we understand it's hard to say something general about saddles since all butt (bones) are different, but that is maybe the thing with a leather saddle: over time it will fit better and better.
