Everything is obscenely overpriced? I am sure you were joking. However, in comparison to my third world India, prices in Iran are indeed a fraction higher.
Not sure about that. First of all, kissing the cheeks is fairly common where we are from. Therefore, it did not feel rude at all to us. Also, some locals say it is kind of typical for older people of that region in Iran.
Were you upset by kissing that man? I was also surprised by that man's behavior and I did not expect it He does not know that this behavior is not liked by Europeans Thank you very much
17:07 Iran before Islam was not the Bedouin culture you know from the arabian peninsula, in fact, it was much richer in culture; our Islam is a bit off and Iran and it's ethnicities(not including Arabs) are not in any way related to Arabs in Origin.
That is an interesting aspect. However, that was like 50 years ago. Back then, fuel wasn't as cheap, or was it? Nowadays the fuel is so cheap that it is not economical for farmers to seek a better solution. It will create massive problems for the people once they have to pay the actual cost of fuel.
It did not feel wrong to us. As many from the region pointed out it is not very unusual as well, especially since he was born long before the Islamic revolution.
We were wondering about that. The comments do not seem to be conclusive. Some say it is typical for that region, others disagree. Which part of Iran are you from?
@@AmazingWorldBikeTour I'm from Tehran. I don't think anywhere is ok to kiss female. Rural area are more conservative. There is an assumption by many Iranians that westerners are easy and are ok to be kissed or touch. Maybe he thought like that I guess. I hope you didn't feel threatened by that.
Don't worry. It did not feel threatening at all. It is quite common where we are from, and people from that region do seem to think that it is normal as well. Iran is a big country with different cultures.
Well, why not? It is a normal thing to do in many regions of the world, including where we are from. He is a very kind old man, and he kissed both our cheeks when saying goodbye. It did not feel creepy for us at all.
I am from the third world and yet I wouldn't have survived the night in a tent ⛺ in that quarry. While both of you are tough, you also took a big risk. Their are jackals, foxes and even wolves in some part of Iran. 😌
Ah, don't worry, that was by far not our worst night! I think we saw foxes in Iran, but they didn't do anything. I'm sure you would also be just fine 🙂
I guess his concern is that the term 3rd world country is quite derogatory, implying a country is of less importance. Stating the actual problem, e.g. poverty, low living standards, etc. does instead address a solvable problem.
@@bobbybannerjee5156 Get rid of the misconception that the people of the so-called first world countries are in complete prosperity. This is a mirage my friend. I have seen both of them...
to correct you there are over 22 million kurds in rojhalat iran and they are second largest population and everything else you heard is fake to undervalue kurds
Do you assume a Kurdish organization is underrepresenting the number of Kurdish people in Iran? They say 8-10 million: www.kurdishinstitute.be/en/who-are-the-kurds/rojhelat/ Some other estimates go as far as 12, which is less than the Turkic population of Iran. In any case, we did not intend to suggest that Kurds are not important.
Dont mean its your fault and i know you just go after what they say, but the organization you talk about works for ayatollahs and its fake, the german knows best their population just like kurd do and in iran it history change to undervalue the kurd , 8 to 10 million was for 40 year ago, very strange that the populations is same and the rest of worlds population increase, its 81.5 million kurd in kurdistan today, keep post videos we like it very much thanks, good luck be careful
I live in Iran, and the statistics you mentioned are part of the problem we face here. Unfortunately, European countries and human rights organizations, by collaborating with Kurdish terrorist groups, are spreading these misconceptions and inaccurate historical information. For instance, you mentioned that Kurds number 22 million, while some sources claim 40 million. These claims go further, even suggesting that the Sumerians, Prophet Muhammad, and the Gutians were Kurds, which is inaccurate information. In Iran, ethnic extremism and nationalism, or ethnic fascism, have been instigated by Turks, Kurds, Arabs, and Baluchis, who provide false statistics and historical misinformation. For example, Kurds never mention that in the 1980s, in the Qarana area near the city of Naqadeh, 800,000 people were killed by these ethnic terrorist parties, which today are supported by Europe and human rights organizations. They also do not tell you that Kurds beheaded thousands of Iranian soldiers alive during the Iran-Iraq war. However, their leaders and supporters come to Europe, playing the victim and seeking the support of human rights organizations, trying to threaten the territorial integrity of Iran. When you said "Rojava," this is an insult to the Iranian nation and country. You are using a term that is against international laws, but because of the victim-playing and lies told to human rights organizations by the Kurds and their terrorist parties, people are unaware. The Kurds number between 8 to 10 million, and they are not only in Kurdistan. Not all of them support the terrorist beliefs of Komala, the Democratic Party, and PJAK. Kurds in Ilam, Kermanshah, and Khorasan oppose these parties.
@@Ethnicfucker Yes there's a history of this and it's all a result of foreign intervention. Even before the modern era, self serving Kurdish chieftains would ally with the Ottomans and help to loot and massacre Christian Assyrians and Armenians as well as terrorize the Kurdish population as well. I assure you the person who commented the lie about there being 22 million Kurds is not Iranian. They're most likely from Eastern Turkey.
@@Ethnicfucker It is estimated that there are over 22 million Kurds in Rojhelat, which is Iranian Kurdistan. The total number of Kurds is estimated to be around 81.5 million, far surpassing the 38 million Persians. Your statements are spreading lies and ayatollah propaganda. The real terrorists are the oppressive regime of Iran. Kurds in Iran are denied even the basic right to use Kurdish names, yet you dare to label us as terrorists? The 8-10 million figure you cite has been used since the 1980s. Are you suggesting that the Kurdish population has not grown at all, unlike the rest of the world? Your claims are not only baseless but also serve as a mouthpiece for the ayatollah's regime.
How so? It seems to us that hospitality is an important aspect in Islam. However, we did not suggest it was the only factor. Where do yo you disagree exactly?
@@AmazingWorldBikeTour I mean there huge preislamic culture factors and geographical factors like the silk road that have created a particular culture of hospitality.

Just because we mention things we do not like doesn't mean we do not praise what we love. We agree that everyone should be free to choose and live by any or no religious belief. However, in Iran, you are not that free, are you?
We are not saying that people are hospitable because they are Muslim. However, after Islam has been the dominant religion in Iran for about 1000 years it is difficult to imagine that there is no connection at all.

According to the best of our personal experience in Iran and the rest of the world, our research and according to countless Iranians and Iranian institutions we know and trust, we believe that we are pretty much on point.
I really dislike when you say that the Iranian leaders decided to shift back to the 15th century. Islam is even the fastest religion growing in the west and Europe and Islamic lifestyle is getting more fans fay by day, as it’s healthier and more natural than the western lifestyle. Iranians decided to establish a religious government and this must be respected, as you can see Iran is a modern and developed country so nothing like 15th century i hope its clear?
It is exactly what happened. They in fact changed the year of the calendar back to the 15th century. Islam might very well be the fastest growing religion right now. However, how that is of relevance to us or to anything is not clear to us, as well as your claim about a healthy lifestyle. We believe people should be free to choose what they think is good for them, without interfering with the life of people who choose differently. The current form of Irans government was created almost 45 years ago, when two thirds of the current population was not even born yet. The current supreme leader was appointed by tiny group of people 35 years ago. If you are concerned about a lack of respect, this is where some people might see an issue. We hope that helped to clear things up ;-)
@@AmazingWorldBikeTourIn 1979, the Islamic revolution of Iran took place under the leadership of Ruhollah Khomeini, and it was the most popular revolution in history, and with the full participation of the people, the government of Mohammad Reza Shah Pahlavi fell. and then the people participated in the elections and voted for the type of Islamic government. In those elections, the people had two types of votes: yes and no for the Islamic government. If people voted no, they would have to choose between communist and liberal government But they voted yes

On 2-3 December 1979 Iranians voted, and the official result was over 99% in favor. However, the referendum was boycotted by some secular, leftist and Kurdish groups. Accordingly it only got a total of 15,578,956 votes, almost 5 million less than the earlier referendum for an Islamic Republic. So, at best, you can argue that roughly 50% of eligible voters in 1980 voted in favour of the new Islamic constitution, which officially turned Iran into a Unitary presidential theocratic Islamic republic. However, the Iranian president is not elected in free and fair elections. According to himself, he also does not hold real power, because he has to ask the blessing of the "Supreme Leader" before doing anything. To us that sounds at least just as bad as it was before. Also, it is 2024 now. How many of the 90 Million Iranians alive today voted yes on that constitution?

Yes, and quite unique at that!
As an Iranian, that kissing was so unnecessary and rude! It's not part of our culture to kiss a stranger lady. That man passed all boundaries.
Not sure about that. First of all, kissing the cheeks is fairly common where we are from. Therefore, it did not feel rude at all to us. Also, some locals say it is kind of typical for older people of that region in Iran.
@behiran2225 you are totally right he didn’t kissed only the lady he kissed them both by love like his own child. He was really nice guy
Were you upset by kissing that man? I was also surprised by that man's behavior and I did not expect it He does not know that this behavior is not liked by Europeans Thank you very much

We were a little surprised, but not at all upset. In our cultures it is a fairly normal behavior to kiss guests on their cheeks.
17:07 Iran before Islam was not the Bedouin culture you know from the arabian peninsula, in fact, it was much richer in culture; our Islam is a bit off and Iran and it's ethnicities(not including Arabs) are not in any way related to Arabs in Origin.
Oh we know that, but there was still a lot of travelling going on throughout Persia, right?
That is an interesting aspect. However, that was like 50 years ago. Back then, fuel wasn't as cheap, or was it? Nowadays the fuel is so cheap that it is not economical for farmers to seek a better solution. It will create massive problems for the people once they have to pay the actual cost of fuel.

Ok. I'm Iranian but kissing a stranger woman is not our costume. Only close female relatives is ok.

In Iranian culture, it is not very strange - kissing is a sign of happiness😉
In our culture an old man kissing chicks of a young woman for greeting is normal

to correct you there are over 22 million kurds in rojhalat iran and they are second largest population and everything else you heard is fake to undervalue kurds
Do you assume a Kurdish organization is underrepresenting the number of Kurdish people in Iran?
They say 8-10 million: www.kurdishinstitute.be/en/who-are-the-kurds/rojhelat/
Some other estimates go as far as 12, which is less than the Turkic population of Iran.

If people voted no, they would have to choose between communist and liberal government
But they voted yes
