Recently got a new TI swsw drift. Favorite knife I’ve ever owned. I’ll carry this knife every day for many many years. Can’t say enough positive about it. Buddy picked up an orange G10 and I like it a lot too. I like the stonewash TI finish though and don’t find it too slick at all.
May have already been mentioned, but there is one other lc200n lined knife... spyderco caribbean. With that said, I have NO idea why Spyderco doesn't offer a edc style knife with lc200n/vanex. If they did the Shamen in lc200n/Vanex... it would sell out instantly.
I owned both and thought the action was better or more snappy on the g-10. Also think if your getting a water resistant knife it’s great to have some grip to with it. I sold my Ti one but man there both easily a top edc knife I have ever had .
Wayne, how is the texture of the G10 compared to say, a Para 3? I've always found Spyderco and most G10 offerings from knife makers to be too course for my liking.
Strong preference for the G10 version, but I do still think they are asking a bit much for it...especially after your explanation. I do actually like it more than the waypoint. Wish the drift was the same length though, but I like the design much better. Dont cut yourself
Are the lock ups the same? I have a satin ti Drift and I was thinking of buying a G10 one and swapping the satin blade with a stonewashed one from the G10 model.
I had been on board to get a Drift, and then I saw someone post this gem from QuietCarry’s warranty: “We are not responsible for how it goes back together again once disassembled in any way shape or form. This includes removal of one single part or a complete disassembly.” Any sort of disassembly voids your warranty. No thanks.
Been waiting on this review 👍🏻 Thanks Wayne! Do you find your Ti Waypoint just as “slippery” as the Ti Drift? If so, would you do the G10 Waypoint? It doesn’t appear they make a knurled Ti Waypoint like the Drift.
Thanks for the review! I've been holding back since the previous version. I did get the Chase but even while it's a great knife in most every way, it still was a bit of a disappointment on account of that deployment hole which just does not allow for easy deployment😣 I'm still pretty much in love with the design of the Drift, but the main thing I'm taking away from your review is that the forward fingerchoil is actually just an oversized sharpening choil😖 and that just won't do. I can take that from a Civivi, but I won't have wasted steel from a $300 knife (even more so given that I live in Europe so also have to pay for shipping and custom duties and VAT🤑). And tbh, the Waypoint would be a more comfy EDC for me ... if there's one thing I've learned from collecting knives it's that looks aren't everything😌
Just got this one. The washers are unacceptable for $300 and $15 shipping. They are microscopic you can’t see it with a naked eye da fk. Other than this. It’s a great knife.
The G10 is my favorite knife of 2020/21. Easily a 9.5/10.
I love the TI Drift. It's a little small but I carry it everywhere. It's perfect for southwest FL living.
I’d like to see the g10 version in micarta. I bet the after market will provide options there in the future.
I like the Ti because I can get it anodized another color.

Couldn’t agree more! 👌🏼🔥
I would like to see a Drift xl for us monster hands! The design looks awesome. One of my favorites. Thanks for sharing Wayne.
Love everything about these knives.
Me too! 👌🏼🔥🔥

Haven't tried the drift, but I did have both versions of the Waypoint and preferred the G10 due to being slightly thicker which felt better to me.
Another excellent comparison. I would probably go ti because i really enjoy ti. Great video 👍
The Black G-10 Drift is currently $50 off today and tomorrow. You have to add it to your cart to see the discount. Enjoy!

It’s slightly less grippy than a Para3 in my opinion.
I love the Drift. I was planning on getting a G10 but found a Ti second hand for less and dig it. Thanks for video ✌🏼☘️🍻
👊🏼🍻🍀
I'm a fan of the blade steel and titanium frame lock. Looks like a great knife. A bigger blade would be nice.
Looks like a sweet knife Wayne. Have the G10 waypoint and love it.

The Drift is right in my wheelhouse - a beautiful, quality knife that will be a terrific cutting tool
Did they ever make a flipper version
Nope

Oh yea! Both extremely solid lockup! 👌🏼
The blade shape looks to be taller in height on g10? 🤔
They’re the same.
I own both and I definitely feel a difference in weight- which is odd bc it’s not a significant difference but I can feel it still 😂
Dude fire and ice drift!! That would be so sweet!!!!!! Like the biblio fire and ice from smkw!

Due to the shape of the handle, I find my waypoint to feel a bit more secure in hand.
USA made?
No sir. USA based company but Chinese production.
Quiet Carry, on their website, states that they are made in Taiwan.
Been waiting for this one! Thanks for posting. Have a good honeymoon!!
I was able to find the G10 for under 200 so I got it .. not bad not the smoothest still think the IQ is the best . Great video...
Thanks Joe! 🙌🏼
Nice looking knife
Good stuff ty
