I love my G10 drift. I got the blue gray. I actually like G10 better than titanium for use, but the titanium does look great. I agree it is more practical and I carry mine frequently. It is great for summer carry especially when you are prone to get sweaty. Needless to say it is my knife (along with the G 10 Waypoint)for my beach week or beach trips. Plus it is left friendly.
On my quest for the best midsized EDC with proper finger choil it has come down to three. 1. QC Drift in G10 2. Spyderco Sage 5 LW 3. CRKT Pilar III (in D2) I own and recommend all of these but the drift is definitely my favorite. Pilar is a tad too thick behind the edge and has finger groves slightly to big for my average size hands. The Sage 5 is great and was my previous favorite out of all my knives, but it’s a a touch too thin, lacks a sharpening choil, and the FRN scales don’t feel as nice as G10. The Drift in G10 for me is absolutely perfect. It has the looks, profile, and blade steel to be an Outdoors, office space, general EDC while fitting my hand almost perfectly. The finger choil could be a little wider but I can live with that. At the time it is my favorite EDC knife in this battle and my favorite knife overall
Dude, how good are the ergos on the Pilar III. It’s the cheapest knife in my collection but hands down, my favorite ergos. I’m also a fan of most Spyderco (Shaman/PM3). The Ferrum Forge Stinger also has great ergos under under $100.
@@dylananderson163 dude I know! When I first saw a picture of it I immediately knew the ergos would be fantastic! The way you can choke up on the blade and how it sits in the palm is utterly superb. That being said, for me the finger grove is to big for Just 1 finger but not enough for 2 so my middle finger rests right on the bump which isn’t ideal (again for my hand). However, none talks about how the Pilar III has the best opening sound of any knife I’v ever heard. Only herman knifes are better and that’s only because they sing!
I have the Ti Drift and Waypoint. Love them I have gotten them broken in with flourinated greese and its smoother then my CRK Inkosi. Can't recommend these knives enough for humid sweaty climates.
"Battle To The Death" idea. (At least it would help ME out). ;) QC Drift in G10, or TRM Neutron 2? They seem quite similar to me, and I have my eye on both of them. Help a boy out! ;)
I just ordered the orange one. I was going to wait until August for the titanium but decided g10 was better for my use. When you said 13 thou behind the edge I couldn't help myself, free ti carabiner too👍 thanks for the heads-up
Quiet Carry and Three Rivers make my 'grail' folders. Expensive (really too expensive for me), but so well done and absolutely still users. CR and Hinderers are nice too...But they cross into "luxury" (being over $400) and I wouldn't EDC one if I had one.
If you like the titanium better I have a new in box spyderco pm2 dlc blade s35vn Aramis Akhmedov carbon fiber scales purple with black carbon fiber clip?
that is a pretty sweet knife, but that's So far out of my budget. the only way I ever see stuff like that is in your reviews. thanks for showing it off to us.
@tatjewed I am a disabled vet, keeping the lights on is sometimes just outside of my budget. most of my knives and gear are either very budget (CRKT and a couple Schrade before they got ruined in the buy out) or gifts from friends, which is not very common.
You hit on my (guess) of an opinion exactly. "If the G-10 is ONLY $50 less...why don't I hold out for the full titanium frame lock?" Maybe if the G-10 was a bit lower in price, I would pull the trigger. The blue/gray is quite attractive....but they all pale in comparison to the knurled Ti.
First version had an opening hole instead of studs, version 2 had the detente tuned better but that’s it, was still a very nice knife
Bought the Waypoint with G10 mainly because it was the only one available. Enjoy it more than my knives with ti.
How is the grip on the g10? I have a g10 knife but don't carry it because the g10 is so grippy that it rips up the inside of my work pants.
@@nica2411 I have the G10 Waypoint. The G10 is almost smooth and not aggressive at all.
Love quiet carry. I hope one day they will release the LC200 version of the Chase with thumb studs.
That's basically what the drift is.
As a salty seaman I've always loved the concept behind the quiet carry knives

Nice idea
Don’t currently have a Neutron
Yeah I think I will get the knurled titanium when it comes back in stock. Will feel more comfortable bringing that out on the water.
Would you get the Stone Wash Stone Wash ?
The TI version is a bit thinner and lighter than the G10. Internal milling on 2.0 is simpler (circles).
Likable. Especially to those of us who live in high humidity salt water environments. You can watch M4 rust before your eyes here.
I own the Ti and the blue g10 and they’re both great. The g10 is much more grippy, even with the knurling on the show side of the Ti
Blimey, turns out this is the knife I’ve been dreaming about all along
"opening up fish" lmao

My best folding knife. Ergos are amazing and it's stainless..

This one or the eddy??
Love the profile of drifts. Wish they were just a bit cheaper. If this was 200 bucks I'd scoop one up right now
What a gorgeous blade, it might be a bit on the small size for my taste, but I really like it.👌😁
Wow 👏 look at that blade!

Drift vs Waypoint battle to the death?
Not until I get a Ti one.
Heck yeah
it's a civivi praxis.

Sub 7" knife.... (6.94)

The ti is still a liner lock methinks.
@@SliceyDicey Pictures on their site seem to indicate it's a frame lock(?). Not that one is all that much better than the other....Not really.
@@tkindschi Huh… I just assumed it was the same as the Waypoint.
Bring back the rats instead of the civivis!
first!
Did you have a comment to make?no,thought so
Was one day away from having the money to get the Ti knurled drift and then…..sold out! LOL. Will get one some day.
Supposed to be more full ti models dropping in August. I’m absolutely going to try and pick one up, absolutely love the profile
