    I spoke with the owner and he does some of the assembling in the US and he’s located in California, but the knives are manufactured in Taiwan.
    He dose source his all his materials from Austria, Sweden, and the United States.
    I have the same Drift except the newest model has thumb studs and I also have the Waypoint. Both are awesome EDC knives pretty close to perfection IMO...

      It took me a couple of watchings a to realize this doesn’t have a thumb stud. I like this version better than the thumb stud (mine) model!

    Dig the Drift. Crazy how similar it appears to the Oz Machine Works Roosevelt everyone has been going insane over right now.

      Right!? I was thinking the same thing. The Roosevelt is pretty much a custom version of the Drift👌🏼 but with a straighter/more boxy handle

    Beautiful knife. For me, it's just the right size for an EDC knife. I just wish it was more reasonably priced. I'm not saying it's not worth the $315/$325 Quiet Carry is asking for it, but it's a little rich for my blood. If it used something like S35VN or 20CV steel and was priced at around $200 (or less) I'd be all over it.

    I own this knife with the orange cerakote and I have two issues with it.
    I have trouble disengaging the lock, although I have seen improvement as I break it in.
    My other complaint is with the thumb hole and the tip of the scales. During opening, the scale tip passes directly over the hole. This interferes with your thumb as you attempt to open.

    I just got the waypoint. I have the green IQ.... I might have to just buy all the quitecarry knives bc they are all beautiful. I dont care for linerlocks but the west is sick looking also. and the strand looks sweet although its discontinued which blows. great stuff.

    Vanax is tougher and sharper for longer than M390, and basically rust-proof. M390 is the budget option to Vanax

    • @metal_complex
      @metal_complex  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      You're correct about toughness, but not edge retention. Larrin Thomas of Knife Steel Nerds is an actual metallurgist. This report is extremely scientifically in depth and conclusive. Read the section on Vanax

    • @DevinBauer
      @DevinBauer 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@metal_complex good information sir, contradicts what I’ve read elsewhere but this has solid testing and data to back it up. Still looks like a superb steel as an EDC and the bump in toughness over M390 is worth more than ultimate retention for me at least
