We just got back from a 10-Day on the Silhouette. We really enjoyed the cruise! We hung out in the places mentioned--the rocking chairs in the Sky Lounge, the deck in the back outside of the Oceanview Cafe, and sometimes the small deck outside of the fitness center. On sea days, once breakfast was over, people often headed for the pools or Library or rocking chairs, so we would head to a window table seat in the Oceanview Cafe. It was quite peaceful, yet still had a great view! In fact we did just that after a short excursion, while many were still out, and ended up spotting some turtles swimming around! Luckily I have a good zoom lens on my camera (since we were 14 stories up)!
We just came off the Silhouette. Great cruise and ship was great. We were celebrating 49th anniversary so we opted for Sky Suite Aft which had an amazing veranda. One night we did room service and watched the sun set. Very nice.
We liked the back deck by the Oceanview Cafe in the late afternoon. Very relaxing views of the sea and most times just before sunset it was really quiet
You are right, that’s a great spot too! I accidentally discovered it while walking around filming and you’re right, it was usually very calm out there.
We loved that spot outside Oceanview Cafe as well! Great spot to enjoy the ship’s wake. We also loved the library and rocking chairs in the Sky Lounge. We were on deck 10 so both were very convenient to our cabin. The fitness center had fantastic views too from every machine. We also just loved relaxing on our veranda. Agree about the pools. I was actually surprised how crowded they were. So much to do on the ship that we didn’t even care though! Fabulous cruise!
A Disney cruise is definitely on our bucket list! 😊 We are also giving Princess a try this summer. My kids really loved the Silhouette, but I agree they would probably love it even more if there were more kids or at least kid-based activities. They are well-mannered and happy to just sit down and read a book, so luckily they fit right in. My mom came along on this cruise and Celebrity was her pick.
Thanks for your video...we depart on april10....you confirmed my perception of the pool crowds. Do the room tv's have a music station or better to bring a BT speaker and phone. Thanks

Yes, those are both great places! We recently cruised on the Emerald Princess and really missed the Sky Lounge from the Silhouette!

Take your kids on a Disney or Carnival...Celebrity is so good because there are few if any kids !!!
