What an outstanding job you did. Jan 9 will be a firstimer on Celebrity Silhouette. I feel more comfortable about the ship now. So thank you. Wishing you smooth seas
I love this ship. You hit the nail on the head when you said the dining room was like 60s retro. That's Celebrity style. Modern retro and modern retro chic or deco, 1920s-1960s. That Martini bar area is straight out of a 1950s style club but modernized. And many of the other areas are as well. I feel like the Edge class doesn't do this and so is less characterful. It's beautiful, don't get me wrong, but lacking that character. There's intimacy as well. And, IMO, this is a large ship. Anything 122,000 tons is large but yeah by today's standards, it's somehow "medium" sized. But it's still intimate in many ways. Thanks much for this tour and great job.
Great review of Celebrity Sillouete. I am looking at a Greece trip this fall and feel much better about sailing on this ship compared to several others sailing out of Athens.
You will enjoy it Jeff. She is a VERY solid ship and recently updated. If you are going all the way to Greece, glad you are will be on a good ship too!
Nice leisurely tour!.. Have been on Silhouette 3xs & going in April.. we always book deck 3 mid fwd.. Seldom crowded in lounges by passport bar & the entertainment at night is a short stroll away..
I have to say the Solarium is one of my absolute favorite places on this class of ship. It's always so relaxing, always a chair available, the Spa Cafe has really tasty, healthy food if you're trying to do at least one meal that isn't over the top. 😋 Cannot wait until our next cruise.
I really appreciate this… you provided an exceptionally great tour! Thorough and informative, yet great pace. Most of all, I think your genuine passion for cruising -and vast expertise- is authentic and made this more of an “experience” than many other high quality -yet comparatively generic- tours. We will be on board in a few days and I’m most excited to now know the reading nooks. 😉 Thanks so much! Blessings to you. 🙏
They really did a great job with the Silhouette's refurbishment! I have the Reflection in a few weeks but am trying to get on one of the 3 or 4 day the Silhouette sailings next December.
Great overview! Thanks so much; my wife and I will be on Silhouette in August, heading to Iceland. Can't wait! Only drawback: we were on the Equinox (another Solstice-class ship, like Silhouette) about 10 years ago, and we LOVED the glass blowing studio that they had up top next to the lawn area; disappointed to see that Silhouette doesn't have that too.
Thank you Jeff!! Going to Iceland will be an AMAZING experience! That country is beautiful and hope you have a change to really enjoy nature and all is ahs to offer!
Great video tour. I am thinking on taking one in March/25 with the fam. In all the videos I’ve seen I rarely see any kids. Did you find mostly adults while on or did you happen to see any kids?
That is the great thing with Celebrity. They are not designed for kids and you will see less than 15 just about every cruise unless it is a holiday sailing.
1st Celebrity cruise I trusted the hot tubs and ended up on a 10-week course of multiple antibiotics after. 2nd cruise I stayed out of the hot tub, but trusted the pool, and back on antibiotics.... We are back from our third celebrity cruise and even though I avoided both the pools and hot tubs, there was no escaping the coughing people in the elevators or dining areas, (even though we packed Lysol spray and used Purell religiously, I got sick on the last day of the cruise and have been sick for 10 days now. This ship is a giant petri dish! I'm done with cruises!
haha that is what happens when you have less children. More people who want to be drinking! I would agree, atrium seating is very limited and same by the sunset bar that I love.
They are normally very well attended with countdowns in several areas! I've celebrated the last 2 years on Celebrity ships, stayed awake, and enjoyed myself! Though, I will tell you this is one of the most expensive cruises the entire year. If you have not booked already, I would highly advice doing that as it will sell out.
Just depends on the ship. Some have more than others. I think a website or another cruise blogger that has detailed out which ships have how many studio rooms. Might be worth checking out to help drive your search
After back to back Celebrity cruises here's my biggest take away. They need friendlier bartenders, especially Craft Social. They look thru you at times and act like your bothering them... food was hit or miss but all in all still a great value!
@@TheWeekendCruiser That’s truly awesome. I’ve been to India three times in 2023 and 2024, and I added on a short trip to Kathmandu, Nepal this past April. Absolutely amazing. One of my favorite parts of the world. Incredible. As good or better than any cruise. It’s like visiting another planet, and you’re likely to have some moments outside on your comfort zone, but as Tony Bourdain said, “travel is about the gorgeous feeling of teetering in the unknown.”

Thank you Scott! Hope you have a great cruise!
He did do a great job. I will also be on this ship for the first time in Feb 2025

I’m ecstatic from your video, will be on it in 9 days and I can wait.
That's fantastic! I am on her sister ship the Solstice now and will say you have the better of the two!
Overall, a decent tour. Try to be more positive... You said so many negative things, including things you don't like. Hmmm...

Great video. I’m booked on the Silhouette in February. Looking forward to it.
how was your travel?
Great tour thank you. I'm considering a back to back cruise on the Silhouette. Think your tour has swayed my decsison ;-)
You got it Paul! I think Silhouette might just be my favorite cruise ship out there...

Thank you Susan! That is a great complement and very much so appreciated!

This is such a great ship tour - so informative! I was in two minds about cruising on it but now I’m keen to book!
Love that reaction!!!
I was just on her 2 weeks ago, the sunset bar was hands down the best place to take in the sights
Right? Shocked it was never more crowded than it was. Def a favorite of mine too!

I go 3 weeks tomorrow on this ship to the Caribbean ❤
That will be AMAZING!!! Have a blast!!
What an amazing job as a travel agent myself you captured the essence of this tour flawlessly.
That means a lot to me!!! Love my travel agents and thank you for all you do!
Hey, Brandon, I am in Chops Grille on the Anthem OTS. I will tune in when I get back to my room if you are still on live.
No worries Brent! This is just a premiere of a video and no live tonight. Got my Flu and COVID shot yesterday and a bit blah still.
On her now 12/12. In a suite. Great ship

Thanks Brandon, taking my kids in March!
Awe that is great Wayne! Hope you two have a great time!
Just booked for January!
Have a blast!!
Got to eat in Lumine on the Reflection I believe.... had the best lobster ever in there.
Need a suite for that! I am not there yet!

Are there ping pong tables, shuffleboard or sports court (basketball or pickle ball)?
Hey David, these are towards the end of the video. It does have all of those.
Going on her this weekend 🎉
Have a blast Jay!!! Amazing ship!
@@TheWeekendCruiser thanks we will
Where is this ship sailing from? Great ship tour 🎉
The silhouette is currently out of Port Everglades I believe...
Boarding her on Thursday!! Can't wait!
Hope you are having a blast!
Not much seating in the Atrium...bummer. Boy do they have a lot of bars. LOL
haha that is what happens when you have less children. More people who want to be drinking! I would agree, atrium seating is very limited and same by the sunset bar that I love.
I am looking at the NYE 2024 ship...how are the nye parties?

Só wonder I can never get solo cabins !

Ouch, that doesn't sound good at all! Tough when on most other ships they are so nice! When you find one that isn't, it is a real dissapointment.
Just back from cruise on the silhouette. All staff are amazing especially in my favorite bar craft social .whoever is going you'll have a great time.
Will you be on board for the Chrismas 2024 (12/23) cruise?
I will not!! I am going to be heading on a land trip to India and Nepal for my long trip this year!
