We’re Celebrity cruise fans, and have our first post Covid cruise booked for December this year. I cannot wait, and this video has made me even more cruise-sick.
Cafe al Bacia is also my favourite spot on the ship, but when. You spoke about entertainment on board, you missed out the excellent music being played all around the ship! During our Antarctic cruise, we followed the wonderful Sashi all over the ship!
Last but definitely not least is the library. A place for gentle relaxation and a brilliant array of books to borrow.

I am a new cruiser and have only been on 2 Royal Caribbean cruises. My friends and I just booked a Caribbean cruise on Celebrity, April 15-21, that starts in Puerto Rico and ends up in Ft. Lauderdale and we are so excited to try Celebrity! I've watched almost all of your videos and you've been so helpful to me for cruising, so thanks for that! But one thing I did notice today with this video is that I have never seen you so excited about a cruise line before! Your excitement is contagious and it has made me even more excited for this upcoming cruise! Maybe I'll have a new favorite!! :)
Great job Ilana. Totally agree with each point that you made. To your point, when we step on board at embarkation, we feel like we are home! We have sailed Celebrity four times, always on the Solstice Class (Equinox, Silhouette, Reflection, and Eclipse.) Who doesn't love walking barefoot in natural grass on a cruise ship?! We are sailing on Celebrity Edge next month and look forward to experiencing the latest class of ship.
I have logged 54 cruises. Many on Celebrity. I love how elegant the ships are and the staff is excellent ❤️
We are going on our 7th or 8th Celebrity cruise in a few weeks. The Millenium which was the first ship we were on in 2011. We love Celebrity and can’t wait to be out on the blue seas again!
Thank you for your video. I have a reservation for my wife and I on the Celebrity Equinox for their 10 night Ultimate Southern Caribbean sailing, departing 10 Nov 22. I have two cruises scheduled before that, first on the NCL Bliss from Ft Lauderdale to LA via the Panama Canal departing 4 Feb and a transatlantic Ft Lauderdale to Barcelona on the brand new Wonder of the Seas departing in April. Have you sailed on the Beyond? We love it. Your information was so valuable to us as we sailed on the Beyond and it was our very first cruise ever and we were well prepared! We followed nearly all of your tips and again, total lifesavers for us. We also were able to understand a lot of the things that might go wrong, like missed ports, and not get upset when that happened to us. I saw it as a bonus as it allowed us to enjoy the ship an extra day. We also wonder if you have taken a Disney cruise or if you plan to do so. My hubby also wonders a lot about what it must be like to have breakfast in the MDR or the Oceanview Cafe [I am NOT a morning person and he won't go alone]. Thanks for the brilliant videos. We have watched all of them, some more than once!

@@LifeWellCruised If possible, try to paragraph your time line to match the video. I think there are impediments for your doing this but if you can please do. Love Celebrity. Edge Class are the best ships going for adults. Nothing better. Good story. We were on the first American sailing of the APEX. I was in the Oceanview Cafe and saw Octopus. Love it grilled. I asked the chef to do that and he said sorry it was just for display! I didn't make a scene but when I got into Tuscany I mentioned this to the Maitre D. He said come here tomorrow at 6pm. And we did. He had the main chef prepare two Octopus dishes, both gourmet. The first was an Appetizer. It was sliced paper thin and arranged in a circle of overlapping slices. Wow. The second was the entree. It was marinated and grilled with a charcoal taste! and it was not cut into chunks. It was sliced lenghtwise and it was absolutely delish and I had a lot of it. You could not get these on land no matter how you tried!! There is also a moral to the story. it never hurts to ask the maitre D about something different or prepared in a different way. They may surprise you. We did find out that you could get any entree served that night in any complimentary restaurant no matter which one you were at. This is a very good tio to your Celebrity viewers.
Yes, my first Celebrity cruise is in November. It's a "Birthday Babes" quick trip from Miami to Key West & the Bahamas. Thanks for the tips. Really looking forward to enjoying Celebrity. Was on Princess last month to Alaska. I know the location is very different - but will be comparing the ship experience.

Hello Rich, we are back from the July 24th Sailing to Alaska on Eclipse. We always select Concierge, love the service on Celebrity. Have a wonderful trip, pack rain gear, as we had beautiful weather in Vancouver, but that was pretty much the end of it, it rained all day in Juneau, and off and on in Sitka and Ketchikan.

Awesome vessels, wondrous decor, attentive and friendly staff (at all levels), excellent and plentiful food (delightful diversity of cuisine offerings), flexibility in shaping your own personal cruise experience while on board (in other words when in Rome you don't always have to do what the Romans do), engaging entertainment, and I really could go on and on. I have traveled with Celebrity Cruises a handful of times and have never experienced even a minor disappointment or dilemma. Every time I see their signature trademark capital 'X' on a vessel I get quite very excited by memories of my onboard journeys.

I just put a deposit on Celebrity Silhouette today for Norway, called, and they said there is a charge for room service but not for the food. I know their pricing structure has changed a lot recently. Your other tips are helpful. So glad that there is no formal night. It's our first cruise ever!

Our travel agent suggested going with Celebrity when we were booking our cruise a few years ago and we were so glad we did. That citrus water and cold towel after I day in the Mexican sun were game changers! The people returning to the non-Celebrity ship docked next to us were so jealous! 😄

As we returned to Eclipse after Port Stanley, we were whisked back on board, whilst the poor passengers from supposedly a equally top grade ship, were in a line which stretched for hundreds of metres! We sipped our cool drinks, wiped our faces with the towels, and smiled. I know I should have felt mean but……

My family just did our first cruise on Celebrity Equinox last month. We were almost in tears when it was over. We had such a good time. The meals, entertainment, and service were amazing, and even my teenagers loved the laid back, more mature atmosphere. Hope you love it as much as we did!

I went on the Millennium in 2019 post refurbishment. It’s a nice ship. Didn’t have any bad food, though may be worth splurging on a specialty restaurant. The talks were great and shows were fun.

Very fine review of Celebrity- we learned a lot! Enjoyed the water and towels on our 2019 Celebrity Reflections cruise in the Caribbean - and hope that remains for January 2024 on our Celebrity EDGE Great Barrier Reef Australia cruise!!! Will try the infinite balcony on that cruise- not sure we’ll like it but let’s see!!! Thanks again- would have like to have seen more photos and videos of the ship while you gave your presentation- but very nice.

I just booked a Celebrity cruise for April 2022, and we can't wait. We will be on the APEX, in a Concierge Class Suite for a 7 day Caribbean. We have only been on Carnival, but because of COVID-19, we are taking advantage of the deals on other cruise lines , We are also booked on Royal Caribbean's Symphony of the Seas in Oct 2021. Should I reserve ahead seating for any shows I might want to attend, or will I be able to do it from my room while on the cruise? Thank you for your guidance.
We’re going on the Reflection on March 26. You forgot to mention the past passenger nightly cocktail party. Free drinks. 5-7 in the Sky Lounge. You have to show your cruise card to get in. Also Aqua Class gets free water in bottles.
My celebrity Millenium cruise to China was cancelled in March 2020, and rightfully so. I have a cruise booked on Celebrity Constellation Panama Canal for Christmas and New Years and am still hoping it sails. If it doesn't, we will lift and shift to Christmas 2021, same itinerary on Celebrity Edge. We always do Aqua class on Celebrity. LOVE LOVE LOVE Aqua class.

Did a Panama Canal but went through on a small shop arranged through Celebrity. We found a large ship dwarfs the size of the locks Loved the cruise and love celebrity

Can u help us with on shore excursions worth doing? Also do u still throw bartenders a dollar if u have premium drink package? Get better service?
Thanks for the update Ilana. None of the suggestions you mentioned would hold me back, but I’m taking a wait and see approach. Your questions about refunds if you test positive at pier is one we definitely need an answer to. Just to play the devils advocate for the moment. You say the small countries need cruising for their economy. If your restricted to their excursions how does that benefit the little guy who needs the walk in traffic to survive or help the country that much? Another point, since these are American recommendations and ships do have to report any outbreaks what’s to say a smaller non American island will deny docking if they know of an outbreak? It’s their country and they can do what they want regardless of what the original agreement is all about. Finally I think you might see some activity either very late this year or early next year for sure. Not sure if it works on adults, but out here in BC, next month with the school kids their starting a simple mouthwash rinse that will test for the virus and give the results very quickly.
Gordon Dick so many interesting points. Cruise lines absolutely have to report all illnesses. This is actually why we always hear about Norovirus cases (in past) on cruises and not usually on land resorts. The rules are much stricter than people would think and cruise lines are quite regulated.
I know it’s not ideal for destinations and I don’t like it myself. I do hope that over some time things will be less restrictive and this will pass. Cruise lines do vet local vendors though, and I know a few local tour operators that partner with the cruise lines and also sell direct to customers. I guess for them this will work ok, not as much for others.

Just saw this episode. We have sailed twice on Solstice to Alaska and loved it. So much that we are going again next year, same place and ship. We are older, '70's, and love the atmosphere, food and staff.
