Wish I was in San Antonio so I could go fishing with you! It’s a long drive from Mankato, Minnesota.

Dan, that’s what they make planes for. Come on down and let’s get some fishing in.

I am not a fan of Tsunami reels in general. I don’t own any Tsunami reels and I can’t believe they used paper for drag washers. What a mess. I think you saved all that was any good in the reel! - Chris

Wow - "Nice" reel. Looks like it was sitting at the bottom of a pond for a time! Even allowing for that possibility, I think the build quality was unacceptable; now I know to never purchase a Tsunami reel.

I gave it some thought after the video and decided it hadn’t been submerged since the main gear, crosswind gear, and crosswind block were in perfect condition. To me that suggests that it was stored in a place that wasn’t well protected from the weather, like a porch or pickup truck bed. Even so, if they had used SS screws, I believe I could have saved it. I’ve encountered a lot of low end reels in the last 2 years but never one that the screws rusted up this badly. I think I’ll avoid Tsunami reels too.
