What I did was follow the manual and use it (4wd and 4wd low once in a while. But I agree the stick shift is more durable since it's mechanical. The older models are always the best.
I usually find local reviews very amateurish, like they're either overly scripted or not scripted at all, which is another way of saying the reviewer is always hunting for things to say. Had one 2013 model, drove it for 6yrs, sold it and updated to a 2018 model (same look). 1,800km reading. The best.
What about the 4WD, 2WD, 4WD-L buttons ? Are they damaged easily?. I'm looking for any review about it, because it not the same with the stick.

My dad owned one. It was a good offroader but horrible in gas. Especially for a 1.3L. It got about 7km/L in normal city driving with light traffic.
