Really glad to have found this channel. I love reading GL Manga and most of the manga reviewers/collectors I find on TH-cam only read straight or BL manga and never discuss GL. You articulate series really well and I love the suggestions for Run Away with Me Girl and She Loves to Cook and she Loves to Eat.
Yeah I also find that a lot of mangatubers that are female don’t read a lot of girls love which makes me sad. I actually prefer reading GL over BL now 😂 like I’ve hardly picked up any BL to read and also purger abit of my collection with BL I’m not interested in anymore but picking up a lot of new GL 😂😂 there’s so many wonderful stories with girls loving girls and it makes me sad to not see people giving it as much attention as any other pairing 😢 hopefully we get some more good licenses so people will get into them more!
@@lyddiemoonTotally agree and I hope so too! I feel like this also extends to other media too whereas lesbian tv shows are more likely to cancel or not get renewed. I’m a lesbian so I try to seek those things out, but it’s a struggle for sure 😅.
I read a lot of different manga but most GL seem really emotion based (angsty or just more verbal drama). Not all, of course, and that’s something I like because it’s the stuff that builds those heart flutters when reading and it’s a gradual build. I think more people would enjoy it if they checked some out and were open to it, honestly. But times are changing! I’ve noticed a lot more GL these days than in the past so maybe we’ll get there!

I really need to continue Solo Levelling! I've read the first two volumes and loved them, but not got around to purchasing the next ones yet!

Love Yakuza Fiancé! I am actually about to start volume 3 myself. I agree with how you feel about Kirishima though honestly. He just turns super possessive and also super masochistic as well. But I'm curious how Yoshino's friend, Soma (hope i spelt that right), fits into the story in the later volumes though!
I just take yakuza fiance as not a love story at all 😅😂😂I don’t think it’s supposed to be tbh more physcological. But yeah kirishima would’ve been so much better without his ‘side’ girls 😂😂
@@lyddiemoon agreed. I know he is supposed to be a "bad boy" type character to some degree, but sometimes he can be the exact opposite
I gave into the hype of Solo Leveling and read the first two volumes and i was disappointed because my expectations were too high. It was entertaining but i'm fine with only watching the anime.
Have you heard about Omniscient Reader? It's so good (and much better than Solo Leveling imo haha)
A Sign of Affection was a highlight for me as well :)
I already finished all of the volumes of Run Away with me Girl and Midori's fiancé made me so mad! But i really liked that series.
