Just watched all your videos this month and have regained my interest in videogames after not playing actively for 5-6 years. Your videos are truly top drawer content keep it up !
Thank you so much! That may be the highest compliment I can receive, I thoroughly thank you for your support, and am glad if I helped get you excited about games and pointed you in the direction of some good ones. I hope enjoy the content yet to come as well! 😊
This channel is a hidden gem! Talking about the video unfortunately a couple of game here have already exploded in price. Would ve loved a couple more input on reasonably priced game to add to my collection before they skyrocket Personally i would put my chips on the trail series or some horror like remothered and the more recent madison, but who knows! Nevertheless great video thank you
Started collecting for the PS4 just as the "pandemic" started, yeah, I like doing things at the absolute worst time possible, making bad decisions is my life, lol There's just so many games on this console, I don't want to miss out on, like in the past with every console before, so I've been getting what appeals to me, but lately I've slowed down a bit and have focused on two other hobbies. While I have just a few of the games on your list here (Bloodborne, Death Stranding, UMvC3), I really hate having missed Edith Finch. Ugh.... They need to release that physically on Switch or PS5 or something.... Some rare games I would suggest are all those limited run (not the company, but the quantity) games, or games that were only released overseas in Europe or Asia. There's so many that these videos would probably go on forever, lol I hope the PS4 keeps going because the situation with the PS5 is not going to get any better any time soon, and it would not surprise me if the PS5 never reaches wide availability before it's life span ends.
I agree, the current console may never fully get off the ground the way prior gens were able to. However, in my area at least, PS5 seems to becoming less rare as of late, which is a good sign. Also, I was lucky to get Edith Finch, as it was definetly not a highly advertised released by Iam8Bit, and I hope you're able to get a physical copy of this wonderful game at a reasonable price! I have a few imports of physical games, and I may mention them now in future videos! Good luck collecting, and thank you so much for watching and commenting!!!!!
I NEEDED to have it too lol. It's way too good of a bundle to pass up on. And I did have fun with the game, silly and simple as it is, it's still charming. Also, thanks for watching!
Fire insight as always. It's crazy to see these games shoot up to legendary status so quickly but it makes sense as we now live in a digital world more connected than ever. Gone are the days of characters taking a decade+ to become household names. My personal top "rare" (more so just underrated) PS4 games are Driveclub and Life Is Strange. I worked my butt off as a teenager to save up for the PS4 after seeing the Driveclub teaser trailer. Ended up getting both the console and the game on the latter's launch day. Driveclub still has the best racing game graphics ever produced by humanity. Truly love that game. And Life Is Strange: oh boy, I can't even talk about it. That game has quite literally changed my life. If you're reading this and you haven't played it, this is sincerely one of those times in life where you must genuinely stop all other activities and immediately go download this game. That's all. Lol Thanks for the vid, Mike!
Don’t worry, I have a physical copy of Life is Strange! Driveclub isn’t something I’m super familiar with but I’ll look into it for sure. Thank you so much for watching and commenting! 🙏
Great video! Love Death Stranding also. Me and my girlfriend played through it and we actually spent all of our tickets at Round 1(arcade) to get a Sam Porter Nendoroid lol. Looking to get that collectors edition sometime this year! Metal Gear is my favorite franchise ever, excited to see what new game(s) he ends up doing(though kinda sad his new game sounds like an Xbox exclusive-I'll find a way to play it😅)
Glad you’re also a Death Stranding fan! Good get with the nendoroid! As far as the new Kojima exclusive, I intend to get a Series X eventually, and a new Kojima game would definitely expedite that purchase 😆. As always, thanks for watching and commenting! 🙏
Great vid man! So stoked to learn that metal wolf chaos got a physical release on ps4, just ordered a copy right after watching! I definitely gotta look into the gravity rush games, completely forgot that they were made by the silent hill creator
Thank you! I’m so glad you were able to get it! Yeah, that game is totally worth having physically, and it received like NO marketing. Thanks for watching btw 🙏
Thank you so much for watching! 😊 o man, I love the collector’s edition (and it’s rather valuable now) but I ended up opening it and putting Cloud on display. Look forward to part 2 soon and thanks again!
Missed these type of videos, and yeah! PS4 reaching a decade is pretty surreal for me. Given I recently got a PS4 Pro in maybe 2019. I used to pre-order Neptunia PS4 limited editions despite not having the console yet, and bought digital sales through the PSN website. I know this sounds silly to some, but when I tell you what I got through this method. You might consider this strategy for upcoming PS5 releases. Right off the bat! Much like you, my best purchase to date. And I still remember paying $180 total for Nier: Automata Black Box Edition in 2017. Because I was still in PS3 era, and hidden gem videos didn't result in current price spikes like today. Everyone recommended Nier and dubbed it the most underrated PS3 title around. So I decided I had to get Drakengard 3 & Automata's LE like a Touhou Fumo was being put up for Pre-order. Oddly enough for a good while those orders were up, and people sleeped on this soon to be classic/must have item. Also following up. I think I remember the day a tweet about 2B climbing a ladder blew up. And saying this is gonna be a Fire Emblem Awakening franchise shift. And here we are today! On the subject! Some of my expensive or must have items are: Nier Replicant White Snow Edition, Final Fantasy XV Ultimate Collector's Edition, Castlevania Anniversary Collection Ultimate Edition, BlazBlue Central Fiction limited edition, Fairy Fencer F: Advent Dark Force Limited Edition, Nitroplus Blasterz: Heroines infinite duel, both Ai: The Somnium Files & Nirvana Initiative collector's editions, Omori, Bloodstained Curse of the Moon 2 Classic edition, Megadimension Neptunia VII limited edition, and right now I'd hop on the Nihon Falcom craze while the limited editions are affordable on NISA. All the Gamestop exclusive editions reminds me of how sad and poorly managed the Resident Evil 4 remake Collector's editions were handled.
Phenomenal collection! And I’m glad you were able to get the Black Box edition of Nier, and yeah I remember that the preorder was up for quite a while. I was lucky enough to get the Resident Evil 4 collector’s edition preordered, but it was a nightmare and I was very lucky. I’m not happy with current pre order, store exclusive editions, so hopefully they don’t become the total norm. Also thank you for the thoughtful comment and watching! 🙏
@@ChipDamageMike Thanks and big congrats on the RE4R Collector's edition preorder. For the longest time! I used to say my biggest special editions collection was for PS3, but your video made me realize. My PS4 backlog in general is actually bigger(especially when I include digital). Just the other day I remembered I bought Odin Sphere Leifthrasir Storybook Edition, Final Fantasy Type-0 HD Collector's Edition, from Iffy's store DATE A LIVE: Rio Reincarnation & Azur Lane: Crosswave LEs on a great sale, and despite it being within daily view all these years...The Order 1886 Premium Edition! So I'm definitely looking forward to part 2, cus there's just so much to this console with a few more years left in the tank.
I’m remember when I got ps4 I wanted to play something new Godzilla number one on my list I picked pay less than 20$ returned next day. Stupid no worth penny. Game on ps2 blood will tell worth any penny 1000$ or 2000$ or 10000$
Godzilla just sold for over 300$ used on eBay, umvc3 55-75$, berserk 45-55$, Deadpool 35-40 same with transformers games devastation n all spark, this is as recent as it gets.
The "goodwill system" with no backwards compatibility and games not actually being on discs. All PS4 discs are just keys for a DL that at are nothing but plastic as soon as the servers go down. PS3 and earlier are actual games...
Great video as always! :) I've loved Metal Gear Solid since the first PSX game back then. I had a pirated copy of the japanese version when I was 14 years old in 1998 because here in Germany the game was released about 6 months later in 1999.... and me and my friends couldn't wait that long. We were so hyped for the game (it was hyped through the roof in every gaming magazine) that we "borrowed" a copy from a friend at school who, at the time, apparently owned every game ever. This guy even had a copy of "Thrill Kill" for the PSX, a game that was never released. Well, the game sucked anyway :) So, me and my friends played the "impossible to understand Japan edition" for a couple of hours :) Although I didn't understand anything (and couldn't even reach the first boss), the game was magical. I had never seen anything like this before. 20 years later, I still love Kojima, I have played every main Metal Gear game, played P.T., Snatcher, Policenauts... but never Death Stranding. Why? Because too me it looks just boring as hell. Is it really worth my time/$20? I get bored very easily buy playing open world games, but I like 2-3 hour "walking simulators" like "Dear Esther", "What Remains of Edith Finch" or "Firewatch". And i love the loneliness of "Ico" and "Shadow of the Colossus". Should I actually give Death Stranding a chance? Thanks Mike and take care :)
Thanks as always for watching and commenting!! I love that Metal Gear story and that you had to jump through so many hoops just to play it. As far as Death Stranding... I also get bored with many open world games, but there's just something about DS.... You know that intangible, hard to describe Kojima quirkiness? It's littered through Death Stranding. Little moments that are easy to miss that can make you smile, cry, or tilt your head in confusion. I can't see myself 100% completing the game due to the its sheer size and number of missions, but the creativity, the lonely, sad beauty of the whole game is just intoxicating when played alone, late at night. Yes, it is slow in many ways, but in a zen like way that makes you appreciate the companions and characters you do meet in the game, and some of the boss fights are just outright epic in scale. So, while it's not for everyone, and I would definetly play it while connected online to enjoy the "strand" system, it's definetly worth an attempt if you like sadly beautiful, isolation feeling games. I hope you like it if you ever try, but I know that it just wasn't some gamers' cup of tea. Thanks again for watching and take care.
@@ChipDamageMike Thank you very much for your very detailed comment. I wasn't really aware that this game triggers such a strong feeling of loneliness and melancholy in the player. You've definitely convinced me to finally play it. In fact I miss the famous "Kojima quirkiness" in current games a lot and maybe it's exactly what I need right now when i play this game on a beautiful, melancholic autumn evening while the real world around us seems to fall apart. ;) Thanks Mike! I'm looking forward to part 2 of your PS4 Collection video! Take care!
The shadow of the colossus steelbook is the same for every special edition, it just has the 3 because it’s the 3rd boss in the game

I found two copies of Gravity Rush Remastered in the wild last week. It was crazy. Grabbed one for $49.71.

The bloodborne collectors edition isnt the only way to get the top hat messengers, you can unlock it in the standard base game
