Lmmfao. You may not win SPL comps with "Walmart" pioneer subs. However, if given a choice I'd personally prefer pioneer, they have some of the best frequency response on the market.

@BlackJedi169 they also sell Kicker, Power acoustic and other subs. And well they are the "economy" line from the brands, not everyone is looking to shake a vehicle apart. They perform well for their price point and no one goes there to purchase audio to compete with.

I had their subs and amps back in the late 80’s and early 90’s. They were super loud and had tons of bass but weren’t good for sound quality but we didn’t care about that back then. They were super popular back then for those who couldn’t afford Kicker and Alpine or at least here in Florida.
My buddy was a dealer back in the day. He hooked it up for cost (cheap). Had two awt15x in an extended cab frontier. Huge ported box tuned to 28. Not a single person told me those subs suck. They do suck, a LOT of juice when playing the lows.
Audiobahn had a handful of models that WERENT garbage, but the majority was just simply consumer mass marketed chrome crap to which they were flooding the market, which was already having a tough time from the economy, as well as manufacturing being shipped over seas. Anyways, in general its almost all style no substance (well...eventually some illegal substance lol). The 90's/early 2000's were more about the 'EXTREME!!!' marketing, flashy 'girly' ads, and sell as much product as possible. All that being said, you got a hell of a deal for $10. I dont have the car audio directory for this models year, but the next closest model is the AW1805, which retailed for $629.00 in 2000. Definitely worth a rebuild.

I just scored their big brothers, the AW1208T. In the box! I loved my aw1206t’s. They destroyed my P3’s (USA made) on super low power. 97dB efficiency is no joke. If I ever run these aw1208t’s with their 280oz motors and 3” coils, I think they’ll need a little more, but nowhere near the claimed 1500w rms. The tinsel leads look like they’d die at ~800w.

Replaced all factory speakers with Clarion Components and a MTX 4 channel amp each sub had 3.85 Cubic feet ported at 30HZ. He got a 152.3 in 2003 which was absolutely banging out of control back then.
I had 2 13" audiobahn alums on two earthquake 400x's. Loudest car in the city. Definitely moved plate windows and concrete. Aluminum cones kept them cool. Earthquake amps were class ab so at 3 ohms each they were well over the birth certificate specs
As a fellow Kentuckian I have the perfect amp to match the sub. A big old Audiobahn HC series amp with the UV meters. No idea if it still works, but it’s yours if you want it.
Man, I was a lead installer for the guys who owned AudioBahn, and EVERY sub we sold came back blown! EVERY SUB!! No matter how "pretty" they looked, all of that ish was TRASH!!! The owners said so themselves....LOL! Good from far, but far from good! And of course the one you bought was blown....🤣🤣🤣
I seen one of these for sale a while back, didn’t buy it, but knew what it was. I’ve been an audio junkie / bass head since I was a young teen in the late 90’s. I honestly won’t hate on the brand, it wasn’t all that bad for the price. Could you get better? Of course, but you could make do with Audiobahn, MA Audio (sibling company), etc, and get some good bass in a good box, it was also usually a lot cheaper than the better stuff, and even cheaper than the big name brands equivalent models. Example, buy a JL Audio W0 12 for $120+, or the Audiobahn 12 for $60 at a flea market. The Audiobahn 2" coil handles about the same power and you can buy two for more cone area. Lastly, I'm sure there were plenty of non-bass heads that wanted the chromed out cosmetics purely for aesthetics, and you couldn't get that with most other brands, to each their own in that regard. I don't really care what the stuff looks like if I get it cheap enough. 😆 I'd probably consider building that sub with the stock motor, and just try the coil that you can find, I personally wouldn't bother with Temu magnets. $10 was still a decent price for it even blown.
I used to sell Audiobahn. Some of their stuff was great. The original "Immortal" series had quad voice coils. They performed great. I had 2 of them. Then, they went to shit.
We had 2 18 Audiobahns on a 2300hc and we competed in the 600 watt stock class. We hit 159-160.5 on average. We were Texas state champion multiple times.

Especially the big flame Q’s. Most people get the aw1206t the small flame Q with 140oz motor. I just got a pair of the aw1208t flame Q’s with the 280oz motor and 3” coils. They’re in the original wood boxes. Idk if I want to power them, collect them, or pass them along. I got them for a good price. Coils read at 2ohm perfectly, and there is no wear to them. Just dust from sitting in an attic for years. I’m sure they’ll be fine. I got a pair of absolutely beat on aw1206t flame Q’s awhile back too, and they still bumped so well it was surprising. Ended up giving those away to a younger Basshead. He’s loving them. Might have to give him these 1208’s and a bigger amp.

@Bangbro4000 I have no clue how many sold but I do own both.. And the 18" motor is I believe 13¾ wide Weighting about around 80pounds And the 34" motor alone Weighting about 115pounds and 15" Wide
Can you machine? I have experience with these.. the LOB 5" coil is too tall (winding height) for a 10" spider, you will need to machine the spider ring ID out to support an 11" or 12" spider. If you try and use a 10" spider with that 3" tall winding voice coil, it will rip the spider. Also, if you have never messed with building neo motors, I can't even begin to state how dangerous it is.. especially one that size. I almost lost a finger to just one 3" N45 puck that got out of control. It is one of the few things in this world that will put the fear of god in you. You usually either need elaborate jigs for the assembly, or you have to wind a field coil around the motor and energize it to counteract the magnetic field of the neo magnet.

I collect old school equipment myself, and have a couple videos on amps on my channel nothing edited like your videos
Rebuild it bro nice project
Skar is pretty strongly hated today. Maybe do a vid on why. I cant make sens of it. I like the EVL and VXF
because the owner screwed his vendors and customers for years...
he still owns it..
Nitro bmw 3512 /3812 sub and some nitro amps would be cool to see
@@thatguykai479 oh I haven’t seen those in forever
@@Bangbro4000 yea recently found the nitro bmw 484 I think it does 1200 on the label 0.03thd not to bad 350 rms I think in all reality
George is the man
I got an alum15Q dual 3 ohm for 50. That thing was CRAZY sensitive in my S10 and so smooth but overkill on 1k watts. Sold it for $30, went with a 12 but I miss it.
@@somenamelessdude8095 I love those. The aluminum cones are just sexy
I'd give my dual kiçker loaded l7 box for 2 12in eclipse aluminum's with no box. I love aluminum subs, and back in the day, no one made prettier subs than audiobahn
My first subwoofer was a audiobahn, the coil got loose From the cone and made a huge dent in the cone , feels like a lifetime ago.
Good to know they included gifts in there subs for the price
@@kitcat2559 factoring that in they were REALLY good deals 😂
Fr the pimp my ride subs 😂😂😂
No need to awnser, but can i ask why you always has that headset on? Btw i like your videos keep making the good contect.🔥🔥
I still have my 1st system, 2 AB’s inverted in a AB BOX and a AB Amp! 😂😂😂
@@MoToArchY can’t get any more AB then that lol
Also the 34" and 18" aren't same motor.
Yes they both use 5"coil but the AWTX34 Has a bigger motor
@@ps3hincada I didn’t know that, I read it was but I guess that’s wrong. I also read they sold 400 of the 34’s
@Bangbro4000 I have no clue how many sold but I do own both..
And the 18" motor is I believe 13¾ wide Weighting about around 80pounds
And the 34" motor alone Weighting about 115pounds and 15" Wide
They used to make really good subs and amps I had 3 of there 12s in my car back in the day
I had a audiobahn 12 back in the day and first week I blew it apart. The spider ripped all the way around the cone it was bad quality sub.
Audiobahn had some decent sounding subs. I’ve never had an issue with them
@@christopherhofheins2763 yep they really did
I have 2 quad coil inmortal 12s they are badass subs
@@Obslstahoeon26z damn I’d love to get one and test it out
Can you machine?
I had one of those and their big crome amp. I don't think they sucked as bad as some people say.
Not sure about the rumors but I made 172db with 6 of those 15''s in a DB drag truck walled not terrible but we did blow them beating on them hard.
Still here for when it's goes on ebay 🤞
I really want to see it working
I had one and it was f****** awesome.
Hell yeah. What was it in?
@@Bangbro4000 some off the shelf ported box I don't remember which one it was I believe the wattage was 3,000 Watts. I still have it I want to find parts to rebuild it.
Put that motor on the machine to juice it up...bet that gaus will be higher
Используй его как пассивный излучатель
Back in the early 2,000s, used to pair the lower line with Nitro amps.
Flea market specials
I want to hear it.
Ive never even seen this sub and I fuck with audiobahn idk maybe I have I use to spend hours looking at subs online
Bahn before the flames was decent
Audiobahn was for the people who drank Natty Ice.
Alright I subbed dammit 😂
@@MikeAnnunziato man I really appreciate it lol. I don’t take that lightly, stay tuned I’ve got more stuff coming
Yea why not neo swap it, rebuild and recone the thing with kevlar and tune a box for it? Do it up and use it as a trampoline for the kids.. or sell it to the dude who was shittin about that wally world professional extreme bass (tr)amp..
ive done a couple of them and they are easy to do .
Bruh you need to test it
people that say they aren't sq id argue that..
Would you know of anyone with a infinity kappa 100.9w subwoofer for sale. Love the look but can't find one. Until the next video💯💯
Ask Brad Newsome...he owns Legends of Car Audio. If theres an old product he either has it or can get it
SELL IT TO ME!!!!!
@@ps3hincada noooo I love this thing! lol.
There’s a guy on eBay with one, but he also has a blown one. I offered him $150 and he debated it but said no. He may be more willing to part with it now
@Bangbro4000 I don't blame you I love audiobahn myself! I collect them.! They are awesome they are the underdogs
@@Bangbro4000 let me get that link maybe I'll get it off his hands

@@lavishness5132 definitely interested how much we talking and you'd do Shipping?
He don’t kno what he talking bout Had 2 15 on the first power acoustik 3500 u could hear me from blocks the guys I got em from had them on a 350watts rms amp in a Honda u could hear them every night when they pulled up at the apartment complex they would shake the windows I finally let My Brother use them and he got them stolen out his suburban he had them on 2 of my 1000 alpine amps
They they also made some great amps just costs to much for me at that time the good old days when you could take four pioneer Impp’s and beat the block
Talk to Patrick from Robot underground
Cool 😎
@@RyanBassForLife thanks man!
This better than the immortal sub ?
@@cristovalmontoya5222 they didn’t make an immortal 18”. But looking at the 15” specs. It’s an spl beast. I wouldn’t say better, just very different
No, audiobahn didn't suck. Even their old models still produce cleaner bass than some high end new models XD
@@MillennialRebelion yeah seriously. I was on the forums back then, and the hate was WILD. I mean they really hated them
@@Bangbro4000 I know they did, not very well deserved. The bass in most modern songs is so dirty that it almost doesn't matter what you choose for your daily anymore.
😁👍
I have 1 complete bad VC and 1 is taken apart and the Motor is missing Just the cone and basket. Monsters I would have loved to bang them!
I have my flame amp and 10s

They weren't bad Subs or amps they were middle of the road brand that was shiny and look good for the Fast and the Furious crowd they weren't bad they had some decent stuff but you always have them haters if it's not JL Audio or Rockford it's trash hahaha haters I'll take some Jensen and Boss speakers and whoop your ass
