Love love love this cooking show. Chef is always thorough and explicit about the portioning of the ingredients and that is what I love. Very good teacher. One love and stay blessed. Your mom is a really good cook too my very good friend.👍♥️

Adrian, I do my Calaloo your way, I sauté the seasonings in a little bit of oil to bring out the flavours, then add the Calaloo and the tomatoes and sweet peppers ,I love to mix my Calaloo with salt fish, so I put the salt fish in the seasonings and then the Calaloo. Different strokes for different folks but I like my way, thanks for sharing 👍
Great video... that is a different variety of callaloo bush that I am use too. I know the very large leaf kind....but all tastes great at the end of the day. It's amazing how skillful she is with that kitchen knife in her hand.Thank you to your mom.
Here in Nigeria we just call the leaf spinach or "green" but in real sense it's actually amaranthus. We call scallops "spring onions". Amazing dish. I will try it out.
NICE! Greetings from NYC. I just found your channel. I 💖 it. Calaloo & roast/ Fried breadfruit is one of my favourite Jamaican dish. I haven't eaten it in a while though😊 Your mom is a skilled great cook. She reminds me of my Grandma who raised me in Jamaica 😊💕👍
Morris, thank you for sharing this video. I have never eaten callaloo but I can’t wait to find it and make some. I do love color greens. I hope I can find it because I live in Fort Myers and it’s not a very diverse neighborhood where I am so I may have to buy an a can. What can you tell me it compares to? Thanks.🙏🏽
"Callaloo" is also known as Amaranth (from which the health food cereal grain is obtained) or pigweed or Caribbean spinach etc. Many varieties are native to the US South and grow wild all over, mostly considered invasive or undesirable weed by farmers. Can be bought from African, Asian, Latin or Caribbean markets, or seeds or plants bought online or from plant shops. Can be easily grown in containers
Hi Adrian, lobster season is in full swing in Jamaica but I could not find a lobster recipe on your channel. Do you have one? And, my husband can't eat anything fried so could you do a baked recipe for him please?
It seems that you're against cho cho. I have never seen you using it. In the bush bush Portland where I grew up, we had lots on the growing vine. So we ate it very often and I grew to love it. Please try using some.
We call this veg "épinard" in Haïti. We can use it to make *frikase* or *legim* . The thing that you call calalou in Jamaica, in Haïti this is frikase. I like different culture.
Me convince my american husband and his mother dont know good food. I put carrot into the callàloo and the people dem a act like i commit a crime. She say carrot in cabbage but not callaloo.
