OK I'll say it!
This is EXACTLY WHY CVX SHOULD NOT BE REMADE!
This music is from one the BEST DIRECTED parts from the classic RE games, now that you think about it. They TRIED recreating this in DSC but failed SPECTACULARLY! This is because DSC was at best, a one-sided love story. CVX is actually a TWO sided love story that ends in tragedy.
The PROBLEM was it was executed SO TERRIBLY that in the youtube preview subtitles, when Claire cries, the subtitles read "applause." Even TH-cam's algorithm is laughing at this.
It took me some time after I revisited this game, and I FINALLY realized why this music plays in the most SIGNIFICANT moment in Claire's life.
Please... people... THINK ABOUT IT! Here's just a few examples.
1. in DSC, Leon finds Chris. in CVX STEVE finds Chris in 5 minutes, something Claire couldn't do in 3 months... and claire couldn't save him. Chris saved Claire from Antarctica because of an idea STEVE said as a joke... and Claire escaped with Chris and WITHOUT Steve.
2. Did ANYONE notice, Claire ACTUALLY watches Steve die TWICE? And it's THE SECOND DYING she's in denial about.
This heavy moment will NOT WORK with remake Claire. It'll only work with OG claire.
And... even Alyson Court wrongly thinks that Claire didn't love him too. My analysis concludes that she actually started to go insane from depression, that's how much she loved him too.
I also heard Titanic references to this death scene.
YES! Just like in Titanic, that old lady said something like "I don't even have a picture of the man who saved my life."
Did ANYONE realize that by Revelations 2, Claire is the only one alive who remembers what Steve looked like?

Piers and Steve, both male characters, both loved. Both... died because of a virus.
both died for the one they loved
This entire series wasn’t just survival horror it was life and beyond meaning uniqueness and progress.

@@urbiznesnunuv6938 The original plan for Leon in CODE: Veronica was for him to die in a Plane crash, he was nowhere near Rockfort Island.
