Steve is such a deep character sacrificed himself to protect her and loved her deeply. This scene and the whole song is one of the most if not the most touching scene where i could barely hold my tears. This much depth also Billy Caries, wish RE moderators and Capcom in general concentrated on a new game where they would tell Billys story what happened after the mansion, where is he now or before that a 3rd person shooter they are wasting time with RE 8 adding witches and 1st person shooters. It's always Leon Chris Clair and Jill give the old characters a bit of spotlight create something new and beautiful with your imagination.
The best Chris (in my opinion) stayed on Code: Veronica, whom we see from RE5 on isn't him, Capcom managed to make him irrelevant. I loved how on CV, Capcom gave to Chris the chance Jill had already received on RE1 and RE3. He's actually an excelent character and the best bro

My friend, that was the entire point of Code Veronica from Claire's perspective. Why do you think that Chris's location was taken care off in the 1st 10 minutes of the game, as the rest of Claire's playthrough was spent developing the relation with steve? Capcom dressed Steve up like Dicaprio for a very specific reason. Ever since Titanic, they've been trying this. They tried it with Leon and Ada, but that wasn't "titanic" enough. So they did it with Claire and steve, where (just like Titanic) the guy dies saving the girl's life. . LOL, anymore like titanic, and Claire would change her last name to Burnside. But jokes aside, NO ONE asks, "what did losing Steve do to Claire? How did she handle losing her love interest?" I had to discover and show this to all... Losing Steve MENTALLY BROKE her.
when was this theme played in the game? I know that a song with the same leitmotiv ("Love") is played during Steve's demise, and as a matter of fact, I used to think they were the same theme.
Capcom needs to remake this game. The RE remake series has been great so far (the 3rd game is easily the weakest due to it being rushed and not getting the treatment it deserved, but it's still a pretty good game despite how short it is) and we need a proper RE:CV remake in the RE Engine!
