They are all great sleds and made to be enjoyed whatever your preference is, ive tried the 4 strokes i found them a bit on the heavy side for me as i get older and hauling them over to carve isnt nearly as easy as my 16 rmk, the sleds coming out of the factories these days are incredible and its only when you really start nit picking that you find small things that you yourself might not like but that may not bother the next guy/girl at all so check them all out and find the one that works for you and go hard.
It's incredible what's coming out of the factories these days. Sounds like these guys had their work cut out for them to pick a winner, and by the sounds of it there weren't too many losers.
I don't understand why these put the mxz x and assualt against each other in the first place. Assault and a backcountry makes sense.... but mxz x not so much. At the end of the day, the Polaris and Skidoo are both at the top of the food chain right now. Go with what you like, you won't really lose. And if you want a 4 stroke non utility sled, go cat or yammy. Personally, I'm partial to e-tec and therefore will choose BRP.
I cant blame SnowTrax for picking SkiDoo and Polaris for the final two in this 2017 shoot out. They are their biggest sponsors. If they didn't pic them it would be hard on their sponsorship revenue next year. I couldn't disagree more on these choices. However.... I will keep enjoying these reviews even though they are biased for obvious reasons. Keep up the amazing work Cat and Yamaha.
every time I hear this ignorant excuse as to why a particular snowmobile won is because of sponsorship is completely false and a lie. The editors of snowtrax don't say well, Ski-Doo and Polaris gave us a lot of sponsor dollars so were just going to award them with 1st and second place. This lame ass excuse comes from ignorant and unintelligent people that want to blame someone or something for their brand not winning. Ski-Doo's New 850 Etec in the GEN 4 chassis won fair and square and is the reason SKI-DOO will continue to dominate the awards and market share in sleds sold. SKI-DOO RULES AND EVERYONE ELSE DROOLS! 2nd, 3rd and 4th place sucks hind titty!
Ummmm Yamaha is shit and artic cats are low quality. Skidoo pioneered rider forward and other brands just copied, but at the end of the day skidoo invented the snowmobile and knows whats up. Polaris makes other products but they were making great snowmobiles before arctic cat or yamaha. I have a Yamaha saxophone. I don't want a company that makes pianos making my sled.
Your right , they should not be accepting funding of any sort from any the snowmobile manufacture period, end of story, not if they are picking "sled of the year"
If you want to see the true result of a test my sidewinder taillight is available 7 days a week. But the the assault would be my second choice. Depends on the trails and conditions you want to ride.
always appreciate your opinions whether I agree with them or not. Although I have never driven a Yamaha and only older versions of cats, I have driven new doos and Polaris sleds so I would agree based on my limited experience. everyone has their favorites, so you will not win everyone's hearts.
These snowtrax people never dive deep enough, I believe they are actually biast to Skidoo and Polaris, the fact is the arctic cat 900 has clutch problems with higher milage belts and shreds belts, and mile for mile I would say the Yamaha sidewinder is the best all around, this sled has oodles of power and torque, it makes ground breaking performance, and has over all pretty good performance, it could use single keel skis, because the dual keel sidewinder skis create a little bit of heavy steering, but its the first year and will have some little issues that need to be worked out, but that is to be expected by any brand, the sled is expensive due to the motor and turbo, but I would say mile to mile it is definitely deserving of the title, the Yamaha will run longer than any 2 stroke I think they are basing the categories around things the 4 stoke can't meet, like weight, which doest matter if you have a better power to weight ratio anyway. This is such bull shit I'm officially done watching these, I should have been done a long time ago.
I was wondering if you are doing best sled of the year you pick a crossover Polaris and a trail based skidoo what about the free ride it is a crossover it would be more accurate
I love how you take Yamaha bass models and compare it verse the other companies hire in models if it's not base models then it's middle-of-the-road models verse high-end models take the RTX Le and compare it to the mxzx
Great review! Im not a biased rider as I have 3 of the 4 brands in my garage. But I have to say that, over the year I have heard zero issues with the Polaris Assault and have heard of many with the Ski Doo. And I have a 2015 Pro X and a 2016 MXZ XRS 800. So Im happy they both went toe to toe. Why you didnt test a Sidewinder LTX LE with the way better shock package is weird. But with the Ski Doo having belt issues, bulkhead issues makes me wonder??? I have heard of many complaining about this new 850 and there Ski Doo faithful! The Axys however has been great! To me the Assault should of been the hands down winner here!
Really, Its not just mine. I ride with a lot of guys with the Axys few Pro S and a few Axys Pro X and zero issues with any of them. Not even a belt. So I guess its the luck of the draw...My wife's 2016 Ski Dpp MXZ XRS has been perfect as well. No break downs since I bought the Axys in 2015...Knock on wood!!
So they can make Polaris look better lol. I have a 600 renegade the thing is mint i bought a Polaris a few years ago before I had this one, Polaris had 20,000 less miles on it and it blew up the first day.
I would definitely take the Artic cat is is the smoothest baddest and sharpest looking sled in my opinion of all of them with the better skis and handling over Yamaha which I have always been a loyal Yamaha Rider since the four strokes came out. The wieght is not any issue, as the RTXs from 10 years ago flew flat and balanced. If looks was a category, that ski Doo would be dead last, in my opinion, it looks like an old Elan from the 1970s!
why didn't they use a Ski Doo Renegade with the 137" track to compare to the Assualt? that would have been a fairer comparison for crossover versatility. not an MXZ.
curious as to why you guys would compare 2 4 stroke sleds to 2 2 stroke sleds. you even said you noticed the weight on the 9000.... wouldn't a zr 8000 rr suit the competition more?
Well Yamaha only makes 4 stroke, so there's one down. The 2 stroke Cat engine while reliable is dirty and old. I'm guessing they chose the 4 stroke because it was the better option over the old Cat 2 stroke. I'm guessing next year with the new Ctec2 the results will be better for Cat.
Ski doo is a 2 stroke. Extra power of 4 stroke turbo is almost cancelled out by its weight. That is, power to weight ratio of 2 stroke is a bit better. However yamaha claims stock hp of 4 stroke turbo is 180. They are actually around 205.
Real World? 2-up seat? Where do I put the firewood? Where is the auger or gun rack? How many moose can it tow? How well does it cross water while towing said moose? Does it come with a built-on fish-tent accessory? Does it come with a coyotee/Zombie smashing front bumper? Will it still start after an EMP? Does it come with an off-road wheel & fender kit for the other 3 seasons? Reverse lights? Or you expect me to ride the brakes for another 2 decades? You guys never answered 1 "Real World" issue. :) ... And those are the old-world issues.. What about... Does it have built in cellular booster? WiFi? Bluetooth? GPS & ride-buddy locating service? AM/FM/SiriusXM? OnStar? None of your sleds should even qualify for a "Real World" shootout.
Well I was shocked and supprised when I told myself they would pick Polaris. Seems to be the trend.. I don't care to much cor the new.basic esthetics of the ski doo...as far as the arctic cat though, seems almost as it was a "need to find" than a true negative. Obviously that motor and turbo combo like was stated.hou need better mind to thumb control tells me that they smashed.what.snowtrrax was.expecting from arctic cat. Granted I grew up on ski doo,but have been burned in the past of piss poor.customer service cor both their jetski and jetboats so I will never do business with bombardier again. Yamaha is a nice looking sled and factory replacement skiis not a huge deal but after this as.well as getting.hands on with this cat at.our lo so dealer,I vote the cat
These guys are so in bed with Ski Doo, its embarrassing, why not do a real sled of year report 2 years after it's been out and see how many times the engine on the Ski Doo and Polaris have been rebuilt. Cats and Yammi's may not win every category but at least they don't have a $5000 repair bill after 2 seasons of riding
Who in the real world owns a trail sled that doesnt go off the trail and get stuck like a mofo every single winter?!?! Sorry but in the real world.. versatility is everything.. Polaris for the win
you hear that? waaa, waaa, waaa, sobbing and weeping from Arctic Cat, Polaris and Yamaha fans that Ski-Doo won the REAL WORLD SLED OF THE YEAR AWARD! SnowTrax did a very fair evaluation and explained in detail on each category was judged and to nobody's surprise the Ski-Doo won this very well deserved award AGAIN! All the manufactures have strengths in one category or another but only the Ski-Doo won most of those catagories. I hear 2nd place is just the first LOSER! Bahahahaha! Ski-Doo RULES and everyone else Drools with envy! SKI-DOO is by far the best and their 1st place market share prove it!
If sales volume and being part of the crowd is your goal...by a Doo. If you don't care what other people think, buy what you like. All Dooheads do is run around claiming to be a follower of the biggest crowd.
well they wanted polaris to win, so they had to eliminate some. But I agree with you there, I got to rip one around an oval track last year, and it is an insane lake racer and im sure it's the same on trail. Not really my style though, I need something for off trail riding, so currently, I have a 09' Renegade 600 Mod sled with the rs race motor in it. badass sled for my type of riding
Been about 20 years since been sledding. Can you really take these pigs off the groomed trail without worry of having to get a skidder to pull you out when you get bogged down? Still belt drive/ clutch technology? WTF? Spend all this time on 4 stroke/ turbo bla bla. but still have the same technology when it comes to the drive. Does the new generation even know what it is like to break a trail through the bush? Got to go slow, unless you want to total your brand new sled on a tree, over a cliff, sink the 1000 pound pig in the bottom of a swamp or whatever! Is there even any practical sleds out there anymore?
MXZ X WITH 850 IS SNOWTRAX REAL WORLD SLED OF THE YEAR Each year, the tough editors at SnowTrax TV and SuperTrax magazine name a sled that would be their choice for every day riding - the Real World Sled of the Year. For the 2017 model year, they unanimously chose the MXZ X with 850 E-TEC engine. It is the 5th time a Ski-Doo sled has won. They said: “absolutely the best on-trail sled you can buy.” “The E-TEC 2 power package is a stump-puller...the most endearing quality of this motor is how smooth and well controlled it is...it’s an effortless engine to drive.” “...rMotion is to be blunt, the best rear suspension system-ever.”
Did you mention "biased" when you were talking about the Polaris? Snowtrax understands engines so well it says the Arctics engine is like a Cummins diesel and Lamborghini. Keep selli g those Doo's boys. I happen to know your "neutral" bull works. My bro has bought 2 800 secs and 1 600. How could 4 stroke weight drops sled to 3rd, by that logic no 4 stroke would ever win. I had a Nytro, they are spool heavy, but if you know how to handle it, you will not have a problem in open areas. Try it on a narrow river with fallen trees, you're walking home for a winch.
The Sidewinder is the best sled out there right now, its light, crazy fast, reliable and great looking. Yammy has changed the game. Ski-Doo has shaky build quality and many little problems as you wear them down...great chassis, good motor, but not the best sled overall.
American snowmobiler has the wet weights of the Yamaha Sidewinder at 671 and Ski-Doo Renegade at 597. 75 lbs is alot of extra weight on the nose of the sled. Don't get me wrong seems like a good sled but I sat on it and it seems HUGE compared to the Gen4. Thats alot of sled to be manhandling in deep pow or moving around on tight Twisties.
wrong burnzillablue, the sidewinder is not light compared to a 2 stroke engine, it is fast because it has a fricking turbo on it! disconnect the turbo and that sidewinder would be a slug. Ski-Doo does not have build quality problems and this bullshit myth that you fans of other brands keep repeating is a f...ing lie. If Ski-Doo had such bad build quality as you say the buying public would certainly know about it and they wouldn't buy Ski-Doo. The Sidewinder is fast in a straight line but wouldn't stand a chance against the Ski-Doo in the tight twisties and know it. SKI-DOO is #1 in market share for a reason, the public trusts them more than any sled on snow.
I have been watching the Lester boys on Snow and Dirt Trax for years and just about had enough of the Ski-Doo bias...almost every comment made about the sleds that are not Ski-Doo are either qualified or just not significant enough to make a difference...I have owned only 2 of the four tested and one of those two needed $3k worth of work after 4000KMS. Interestingly enough, so did 3 other friends of mine who have Ski-Doo sleds. I have owned Yamaha's for a number of years now and have had zero mechanical or chassis issues...most of the people in my circle keep their sleds for an average of 3-4 years, so durability when your in the middle of northern Ontario is absolutely critical. Enough said, I think it's time to move on...thanks for the noise.......bye.
I don't understand the allure of a short track sled anymore, they're useless. Why would you want to limit yourself to a baby track when even a wimpy 800 2 stroke has problems putting the power down through them? My Sidewinder spins like no tomorrow and that's back when I had the 141 2.25" powerclaw, I could only imagine how horrible the 129 would be.
here we go again your putting a 144 track to 3 -129s in. track and everyone knows and reported the 137in. turbos perform better with the longer track to balance out the weight. also this year everyone is now saying the 850 last year the suspension isn't up to standard and the front end didn't live up to the hype. and it's tall center of gravity made inside ski lift. now I will pick your 2018 sled of the year will be the renegade 850 with all of the new calibration changes this year. bla bla bla. make it real stop the BS.
I real world sled for me has to be good on trail and off... No questions there. Real world implies all types of conditions that you might encounter from day to day riding. For me the assault should have won because of that. There's no way the Brp could follow or have as much fun as the Poo on a deep powder day hands down.
Gord mackenzie fucking hate the Yamaha fanboys!! "Oh it's got 270 horsepower" "those 2 strokes don't stand a chance against the turbos" like stfu already
I think you guys may have got it wrong. In the new day of "4 Stroke" "Green" motorsports..... you should focus on the massive improvements, successes that Yamaha and Cat have made in strides. They have brought the best tech to the market in 4 stroke turbo's and you pass it off like nothing? Shame on you guys. Really.
4 strokes have been pushed for so many years by the Feds. I would hope that your show would support that.... Put some support to their hard work over the last 10 years.
All of these are sleds are good. I’ve been riding Polaris my whole life, but I can honestly say all of these sleds look and seem awesome.
My last 2 sleds have been renegade backcountry but my next will definitely be the switchback assault. Definitely the best overall sled in this group

I love ski doo but it looked to me the the switch back should of won for one reason..... It's an all around sled it can do more then the mxzx

Caleb M. Son
Hey Bob... brand loyalty guy..... your lack of intelligence is showing in your comment.
Did you change the skis on it Steve?
always appreciate your opinions whether I agree with them or not. Although I have never driven a Yamaha and only older versions of cats, I have driven new doos and Polaris sleds so I would agree based on my limited experience. everyone has their favorites, so you will not win everyone's hearts.
if u can't take a sled off trail, i bet my mom's buick will work in place for it lol
Can you guys do a race sled shootout?
MX 720 Yamaha s turbo would win
My father has a zr 9000 and around in Wisconsin we're I live it's perfect for our trails.
There's just no way that's true
are you guys doing a mountain sled shootout this year?
I can dangle just as fast or faster than my buddies on 136’s with my pro chassis assault. I was blown away at how good it is on the trail.
coming from a skidoo fan, I'd take the Yamaha in a second
UPstater5.9 if
Same
ya
UPstater5.9 I’m ski doo too and the only other sled than a ski doo is a 2017 pro rmk 800 with a 163

wow not wat I expected but well done guys thanx
So basically
skidoo: all around
polaris: crossover
arctic: power and handling
Yamaha: Power
Not really
Wonder why they bad talk the older sba. I have a 13 sba and even after owning and putting thousands of miles on a rush i feel it does well on trail.
So why are all the sleds different track lengths? Should have been all the same class
Exactly .. Complaining about the front-heavy 129" Arctic Cat is pretty silly,... when AC has a 137".
Then they go to a 144" Polaris.
LOL.
i like polaris
I'm happy with the 97 ski Doo formula 3 600 I just got lol.
Jesse Bauer you won't be happy for long . Those are hard on gas and hard on motors
And hard on your back, and legs! Nice sled although the suspension is the biggest issue in my opinion
why give one sled points for being a good crossover when you are comparing on-trail capabilities?
because they want polaris to win but even though they tried to cheat the system with the assault 144, the skidoo still is better
Ok, so the "real world" is on-trail biased. Got it.
Moving on
Wish we had good snow here in Australia cause i wanna have the opportunity to hurt myself on one if these things. Not fair!
Good vid.
cuz ski-doo is made in canada, its a winter country, best sleds just like they are best in hockey
Not in crosscountry skiing ;)
Ya i love skidoo. But why did they use a mxz instead of a renegade? Makes more sense to me
I was wondering if you are doing best sled of the year you pick a crossover Polaris and a trail based skidoo what about the free ride it is a crossover it would be more accurate
they said they tried all the sleds and those four were their favourite from each so they tested them
I love how you take Yamaha bass models and compare it verse the other companies hire in models if it's not base models then it's middle-of-the-road models verse high-end models take the RTX Le and compare it to the mxzx
the side winder looks sooooo good
I was surprised they didn't go with the Polaris. Snow Trax and Dirt Trax always pick Polaris. Must be their biggest sponsor...
Great review! Im not a biased rider as I have 3 of the 4 brands in my garage. Polaris Tim ;
My buddy's 850 is on his third belt this season.... Surprising the polaris might be the more reliable machine out in the mountains this year haha
Why compare an on-off trail sled to a trail sled?
So they can make Polaris look better lol. I have a 600 renegade the thing is mint i bought a Polaris a few years ago before I had this one, Polaris had 20,000 less miles on it and it blew up the first day.
What's the most reliable? Easy to maintain?
Polaris sleds
ski doo
Lao Coste polaris sleds
Polaris
Yall didnt answer the question at all
Why dont you guys test the LYNX Xtrim?
I've been waiting for this one very nice job guys I love it I think you were spot-on in all respects
In my mind the assault wins this one with it's versatility.
I would definitely take the Artic cat is is the smoothest baddest and sharpest looking sled in my opinion of all of them with the better skis and handling over Yamaha which I have always been a loyal Yamaha Rider since the four strokes came out. why didn't they use a Ski Doo Renegade with the 137" track to compare to the Assualt? that would have been a fairer comparison for crossover versatility. not an MXZ.
Or renegade backcountry x 146"
curious as to why you guys would compare 2 4 stroke sleds to 2 2 stroke sleds. you even said you noticed the weight on the 9000.... wouldn't a zr 8000 rr suit the competition more?
chris stamnas you would think so. right!?
chris stamnas they also compared a cross over to a trail sled? That's stupid in itself, they are designed for two different kinds of riders.
I don't think i could ever give up my 2 stroke for a 4 stroke...
The two strokes may be winning ever year but if you lined all 4 of those sleds up the four stroke turbo would win hands down.
In a straight line across a lake perhaps but the world is not a giant lake. There's more to snowmobiling than who's first across the lake.
The four stroke turbos also have a lot of hp
but they are heavy...
The most boring part in sledding is the lakes and highway wide trails.
Til u hit a turn lol
is the ski doo a 4 stroke or 2 stroke how can you compare sleds when they have different motors
Ski doo is a 2 stroke. Extra power of 4 stroke turbo is almost cancelled out by its weight. That is, power to weight ratio of 2 stroke is a bit better. However yamaha claims stock hp of 4 stroke turbo is 180. They are actually around 205.
can you do a rewiew of a indy sp 600 :)
What do I do with my hands?
Real World?
:)
... And those are the old-world issues..
What about...
Does it have built in cellular booster?
WiFi?
Bluetooth?
GPS & ride-buddy locating service?
AM/FM/SiriusXM?
OnStar?
None of your sleds should even qualify for a "Real World" shootout.
Raay Communications these aren't utility sleds, bud
You smell.
Trail Sled not Utility sled .. two different uses .. Have fun towing your mooses..
😂
Ski-doo chassis is tough as nails huh? How bout that front casting?
Matthew Kistner They are
You guys take Polaris crossover but you take ski doo mxz that’s not very fair. But the ski doo still one.
Why not test with a pro s if you're doing trail sleds and off trail versatility had nothing to do with the decision.
Should of picked a 2 stroke Arctic cat sled. And they only picked ski doo and polaris because they are the biggest sponsors.
dope!
Do it whit arctic hardcore Yamaha sidewiner skidoo summit and polaris pro rmk
Liked to have heard top end speeds
Polaris is still the best sled here beqause it’s the best crossover built. I would like to see that mxz go off trail thoe😂
LOL ingrained in our DNA
2inch lug on the switchback says a lot
Skidoo is #1 because it was made in Canada 👌
Steveo balls china
Lol these guys complain to much I would love any of those sleds
Wheres the lynx??
Lynx?
Polaris is still the best sled here beqause it’s the best crossover built. I would like to see that mxz go off trail thoe
That's not what it's made for
WHEN HAS YAMAHA GOT THE SKIES RIGHT?
Do mountain sled of the year 2018
Cmon wheres lynx
SausageMix we dont have lynx in Canada. Pretty sure lynx and skidoo are the same company. Correct me if im wrong on that.
Ernie Desjardins They are, but the Lynx is a REALLY beefed up sled only sold in Europe.
Well I was shocked and supprised when I told myself they would pick Polaris. Seems to be the trend.. can anyone help me im not a huge snowmobile person but id like to get one that's really fast really wicked trail worthy whats the best machine to get
The Do it For Dale Channel go with an enticer
Polaris 800 Rush. Meant for 100% trail performance or the Polaris XCR
But..... the turbos are nearly 5000 bucks more to begin.
m krueger it’s been 2 years and I haven’t saw any 850s have little to no problems my friend has a 850 with just over 12,000 miles
Lol....artic cats r junk
Where is lynx
had to do a double take when he said MX Zed
Who in the real world owns a trail sled that doesnt go off the trail and get stuck like a mofo every single winter?!?! Sorry but in the real world.. versatility is everything.. Polaris for the win
Why does he keep saying MX Zed X?
Canadians say it the right way
you hear that? waaa, waaa, waaa, sobbing and weeping from Arctic Cat, Polaris and Yamaha fans that Ski-Doo won the REAL WORLD SLED OF THE YEAR AWARD!
Bob Hirdes hell yeah
I find it ironic that a cat guy is criticizing ski doo for blowing belts.
ACatKrom How many belts and bulkheads have you blown? None you say.... because you don't own one... interesting.
If sales volume and being part of the crowd is your goal...by a Doo. If you don't care what other people think, buy what you like. All Dooheads do is run around claiming to be a follower of the biggest crowd.
Bob Hirdes If only they were reliable, every iteration of Skidoo comes with well known big problems which I don't like.
Yes I Agree that Yamaha will out preform all of those sleds with its Yamaha clutch and sidewinder motor
I didn't know Seth Rogan was into snowmobiles lol
like if u think the polaris looks the best
Skidoo is the best
Caden Cheyne yup ski doo and polaris are a clear 1 2 punch.
Shayne Reimer 👍
Caden Cheyne yup ski doo are the best
Caden Cheyne nice sled in your profile pic
Roy Otten, Riding a SkiDoo would be like fucking a ugly fat chick!
Sounds like a cooler Seth Rogen
Wow I'm shocked! I thought for sure yammy would take it! Wtf?!
well they wanted polaris to win, so they had to eliminate some.
MXZ X WITH 850 IS SNOWTRAX REAL WORLD SLED OF THE YEAR
Each year, the tough editors at SnowTrax TV and SuperTrax magazine name a sled that would be their choice for every day riding - the Real World Sled of the Year. For the 2017 model year, they unanimously chose the MXZ X with 850 E-TEC engine.
It is the 5th time a Ski-Doo sled has won. They said:
“absolutely the best on-trail sled you can buy.”
“The E-TEC 2 power package is a stump-puller...the most endearing quality of this motor is how smooth and well controlled it is...it’s an effortless engine to drive.”
“...rMotion is to be blunt, the best rear suspension system-ever.”
Instead of Yamaha and artic cat working together it should be Yamaha and ski-doo or Yamaha and Polaris
You can't combine polaris (unreliable) with yamaha (reliable)
I would take ski doo out of any sled
"real world" - Youre missing the best one - Lynx.
basically a ski doo :(
Do a little kid snowmobile award in 2018 !
The Sidewinder is the best sled out there right now, its light, crazy fast, reliable and great looking. Yammy has changed the game. Ski-Doo has shaky build quality and many little problems as you wear them down...great chassis, good motor, but not the best sled overall.
light? You must be a world class powerlifter. 700 lbs wet is not light by any stretch. More to snowmobiling than being first one across the lake.
The Viper/Sidewinder are only about 50 lbs heavier then the same class 800.
The Viper/Sidewinder are not much heavier then the comparative two strokes, 40-70 lbs.
Where is the number 1# lynx
I don’t agree the ski doo doesn’t even do good off trail the Polaris dose assault won
Ski Doo is the Shizz!
Luke you always pic these belt eating piston locking duo ... Trust me I ride with theses 800 category smokers ... Have another donut .
Polaris is the best!!!
I say a 2017 ski doo 600 ho renegade x is the real world sled
I don't understand the allure of a short track sled anymore, they're useless. Why would you want to limit yourself to a baby track when even a wimpy 800 2 stroke has problems putting the power down through them? My Sidewinder spins like no tomorrow and that's back when I had the 141 2.25" powerclaw, I could only imagine how horrible the 129 would be.
Not a bias shootout at all
it's tough to admit, cause I'm a cat guy..
They should give them away to Canadian taxpayers, skidoo has billions of Canadian tax dollars. No way it keeps up to the others in loose or deep snow.
Polaris is not reliable my buddy bought a new one and nothing but trouble
here we go again your putting a 144 track to 3 -129s in. track and everyone knows and reported the 137in. turbos perform better with the longer track to balance out the weight. also this year everyone is now saying the 850 last year the suspension isn't up to standard and the front end didn't live up to the hype. and it's tall center of gravity made inside ski lift. now I will pick your 2018 sled of the year will be the renegade 850 with all of the new calibration changes this year. bla bla bla. make it real stop the BS.
I real world sled for me has to be good on trail and off... No questions there. Real world implies all types of conditions that you might encounter from day to day riding. For me the assault should have won because of that. There's no way the Brp could follow or have as much fun as the Poo on a deep powder day hands down.
the arctic cat looks nice but the yamaha look awful. looks like it was designed for people borns in 60s
this is bullshit it always Skidoo or Polaris with these guys every dam year so we know who's got the deepest pockets
exactly
Gord mackenzie maybe its just chos they are better
They are the best though! Idk why you complain.
Gord mackenzie fucking hate the Yamaha fanboys!! "Oh it's got 270 horsepower" "those 2 strokes don't stand a chance against the turbos" like stfu already
Yup no comparison, one weighs a metric ton more
I think you guys may have got it wrong. In the new day of "4 Stroke" "Green" motorsports..... you should focus on the massive improvements, successes that Yamaha and Cat have made in strides. They have brought the best tech to the market in 4 stroke turbo's and you pass it off like nothing? Shame on you guys. Really.
BRP is trying to catch up.... Polaris is lost. Shouldn't this be a focus for you guys at Snow Trax Television?
4 strokes have been pushed for so many years by the Feds. I would hope that your show would support that.... Put some support to their hard work over the last 10 years.
