  • If you are a fan of the 2nd Gen Camaros with UPDATES, check out this rare One Year only model. It started life in 1973 as a factory Z28 / Rally Sport / LT (the “trifecta” package) that was only available in 1973. 1973 also happens to be the last year of the chrome bumper Camaros. In my mind this is a near perfect blend of modern performance technology and vintage metal art.

    Could this kind of rebuild be possible in a 1967 Camaro? Working on a 78 Corvette now but when I'm done with that, I'm moving on to a 67 Camaro. I just can't get enough of this video. What a machine!!

    These are great...the weak link is the weight of the doors and the rattle that comes along with that and window rattle. When the doors sound good you know you've come across a builder with attention to detail.

    I've owned 4 70 to 74 2nd Gens, from Tame Stock to Wild Auto -crosser, They were all Awesome in their own way. That Car is Done Right although I would prefer a Little more Camshaft with the Manual Trans! But the Special Place is in the Drive Quality of these Cars, Almost 2nd to None with Very Little Work, great Ride Quality or Maxed to Auto-Cross specs but Still Street Friendly, ( Swap Tires and Adjust the Shocks, disable the Secondaries if Carbed ) and ready to Race, but the Ultimate Fun was when a Great Friend and I Left Ft Wayne Indiana on a Saturday Morning and Arrived at Costa Mesa California Sunday late Afternoon and that was not Driving Crazy, the Speed Limit was still 55 but our Average speed was 63 to 65 and to tell you the Truth we were Nowhere Near worn out. Those Cars were built to do it all and yes the Buyer of this one should be Totally ecstatic! Wish you could post Pics here because from the Outside I owned a 70 that was a Twin to this. Great Vid Great Car!

    That is one nice ride for sure, have you or your son happened to look into a 1965 Nova SS 2 speed with a 283 , Sweet little grocery getter, my cousin had one and rebuilt the engine, replaced the floor boards and trunk, new paint also ( close to the Camaro Blue in Color ) was a beautiful car inside and out.

    Absolutely stunning, owned a73 rs Z-28 with factory air and a worked 400 turbo and factory posi 323s. Corvette rally wheels, 15 by 8 rear and 15 by 7s front with ladder bars and bfgoodrich white letters. Flight panel dash with tilt. Tan interior with emerald green imron and mustard gold stripes made it unique. Loved that car but got away from me leaving a 4th of July pig roast 😢 kissed a poke and sheared off the passenger side all the way to the sail panel! Walked away but sad over the loss. Owned over a dozen 1st 2nd and 3rd gen Camaros but it was my favorite Z-28. You said it best about Chevrolet nailing it with this design.74 wasn't bad but that wrap around rear glass altered the car in a major way. That car is a keeper in every way.

    Beautiful build but, LT's didn't get stripes and it should have Z28 fender emblems and a Z28 foil decal on the backside of the rear spoiler... Just FYI.

    • @jamesharding4056
      @jamesharding4056 8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      See my older comment below. Correct that LT did not get stripes... it also did not get Z28 emblems anywhere on the car. The stripes were added to this car, but the Camaro 350 is correct. Z28/LT cars with Z28 emblems or stripes have had them added.

    . Beautiful car ! I see That Car is a" Late" 1973. It has the cardboard Headliner, (instead of "Bowed"). I have a 1973 RS LT Z28 that I bought new. when they "redid" that car, WHY did they put "CAMARO 350" on the Fenders ?? it is supposed to be Z28 in that spot !

    • @ericburk7301
      @ericburk7301 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Exactly, I had the same car in Black & White 73.

      Lt option had emblems also. Including front fender.

    • @jamesharding4056
      @jamesharding4056 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      They did not change the emblem when they redid it. It is correct, and is not supposed to read Z28. All Z28/Type LT Camaros in 1973 would have come without the Z28 emblems anywhere on the car. The Z28 grille emblem on this car is what would has been 'added'. In factory form, the Type LT trim would have superseded the Z28. Most people would still add the Z28 emblems after, as they likely couldn't deal with having a Z28 that didn't say Z28 on it anywhere!
      Most will doubt the accuracy of this... so check out a 'test drive' of this car when it was new. I believe it was in Road & Track magazine. It shows the car as a Z28 with the Z wheels, but the test car clearly reads "Camaro 350" on the fenders. Again, this would only be Type LT cars, which would have also superseded the "Rally Sport" lettering on the fenders. If a car was ONLY a Rally Sport, it would read "Rally Sport 350"
      This is also supported by information at www.nastyz28.com
      While anything is possible to have 'slipped through' at the factory, this car is correct in regard to fender emblems, and it's hard to find them still that way.
      I owned a 1973 Type LT/RS. Mine was NOT a Z28.

    • @loubreslow6097
      @loubreslow6097 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@robertbiallas2192 LT emblems were on the front "header" between the headlight and grille on the drivers side. LT on the roof pillars, and on the tail panel between the tail light and the license plate on the passengers side, also on the steering wheel horn button

    Dude, it's only an LS-3, and the Z-28 markings are missing on the fenders and spoiler!!! Its not a real Z

    • @jamesharding4056
      @jamesharding4056 ปีที่แล้ว

      See my other post above. It is a real Z28, and is CORRECTLY missing the emblems because it is a Type LT. It should actually be missing the grille emblem also. The "T" in the VIN verifies Z28 status.

    • @ericburk7301
      @ericburk7301 ปีที่แล้ว

      REASON NO z28 BADGES THERE IS BECAUSE IT IS AN LT TYPE, THE 5TH DIGIT IN THE VIN SHOWS IT IS A Z
