Let's take a moment to recognize one of the key factors in this build, this man supportive wife. Together, they have a beautiful build, and likely a matching relationship. Congrats to you both!
We moved into our new house a month ago, and I promised the three moving guys I'd show them my cars, both 2nd gen Camaros. One of the guys commented how the early 2nd gens were their favorite F-body, which is something I also hear at car shows from both casual and serious fans. You would never know it considering the ubiquity of the 1st gens, and now the nostalgic resurgence of the 3rd gens, but its good to know there are enough of us out there keeping these gems on the road for all to enjoy.
Funny story about this episode…. After we filmed it we lost the GoPro! It fell off the back of my photographers truck. After searching for a few days I figured it was gone… episode lost! BUT thankfully Kim found it (on the side of the road) and after watching a few minutes of the RAW footage she was able to track me down. THANK YOU KIM!
Great car. I always had a hidden switch to crank the engine that no one knew of. 70 Z28 BB 402 Turbo 400 Vega TC 4:56 12 bolt in high school. Fun car drifting and the 1/4.
@@CarsShopsAndCollections The local Highway Patrol knew me by my first name. They were good people and cut me a lot of slack. I was Yes Sir and No Sir and Sorry Sir when it mattered.
Awesome. . . hey i have a question for everyone. . . Should i build the 355 in the 2nd gen camaro or try to build up a ford flathead engine for it? putting in a T5 speed originally a clutch pedal car, have a 355 and TH350.
Had one when I was going to Boise State University. Moving back to Saipan I left it in the public storage in Federal way. Blue with 350/250hp with two barrel carburetor. About to convert to three speed that was still in the trunk when I park it. I'm in Saipan . Missed that car but I drive a 2000 camaro 3800 series 2 engine.
Looks great. I too have a 1970 RS/SS I am building that is now torch red but was originally citrus green like yours was. Curious what size tires front and rear and if you have lowered at all. Also, did you mini tub back or keep stock? Appreciate any feedback you can share.
I'm building this model kit right now and doing some background work on the Kit I found your channel and gave it a sub. 🙂Thomas over at The Model Hobbyist
Only Z28’s got the stripes but you could tell the dealer order sheet to have stripe delete. I bought my 70 Z28 in 1981 from the orig owner. 4-speed, cranberry red, white stripes and black custom cloth interior with woodgrain on the doors panels, console and dash. The strike had nothing to do with the lateness of the 70 Camaro or too many 69’s. It was the tooling therefore 69’s were still being built in 70 and were still 69’s on the ownership.
Awesome! Hey guys. My neighbor had Camaro either 1969 or 1970 or 1971. It had a type of “electric spray system” all rusted when I saw it in 2000. In the trunk, with a reservoir and tubes going through the fender onto spray the rears tyres. The rumours I heard were: de-ice fluid in winter… but my guess is still with “bleach spritz” for burnouts. Anyone got links to solve my question. 👍🇺🇸🇨🇦👍
BUILD SHEETS ARE ALSO UNDER THE DRIVER OR PASSENGER SEATS. Mine was located under driver seat. I was surprised it was all mostly still there and not too rotted. I have found others under passenger seats, mostly rotted. I have had many Camaro's in my life.

It's missing the top chrome window trim. Which does help when it rains. Cranberry red looks close to this red. So why not paint it the factory color. Nice car though. I have a 70 1/2 RS/Z28 with all matching numbers totally restored. It's a fast beauty. LT1 4spd

Yeah…his supportive wife isn’t just laying down in the house. She’s out spending his money! 😂

Is that yours on your page? I checked out the video... that's awesome! I appreciate you watching!
@@CarsShopsAndCollections Yeah, that's one of them. Keep up the cool content.
They made and sold '69s for 18 months; I think that's why it's the most popular 1st gen. '67 is my favorite first gen but I like '70s even more.
Love the split bumpers at the front and the pointy nose of the hood & grille !!!
Such a great look!
That red 😍 wow !!
It pops!
Should have left the stripes out.
Beautiful camaro and sound great.

Thanks, I’m running 245/45/17 in the front and 275/40/17 in the rear. It is stock height and not mini tubbed. Have fun on your build👍🏻

@@CarsShopsAndCollections I do appreciate that greatly
You can get seat track extensions helps us tall guys fit a lil better
Ah the 71, may I get it one day.
We’ll come film it when you do!
My first car was a 1970 Camaro SS with the split bumper.
That sounds like exactly like a friend of mine in Chula Vista San Diego. Townhouses
Nice challenger
.i drive a black Dodge challenger too...i just found u on utube 😊

I had a 73 back in the day and it's the only car I still miss.
I never liked the sound of those doors when closing them.
Thanks for watching! We all have that one car that got away!
My father owned a 71 full bumper camaro
10/10
Nice touch with the Vintage Air system. Ive never understood why dudes supe up their cars, only to sweat to death in them. Gotta have that A/C !
Especially in Las Vegas!
@@CarsShopsAndCollections Even more so ! Very nice touch. What an absolutely gorgeous vehicle
Nice car, I had one my favorite. Would be nice with m22 fourspeed

How tall is the owner? Looked tight in there.
nice , I have a 72 I did over but not to that degree ,
Good for you!!!
What that originally green by chance
I’ll find out!
454 best Camaro ever.
El auto mas bonito ke visto en mi life
Muy Bonito!!!!!
what motor does it have?
383 stroker / 700r4 trans
Wooow
Wauw awesome Camaro, check my black 70er RS
Why do people fuck up a good video with over dubbed 70s porn music that drowns the conversation?

It’s like finding a treasure… that’s so cool!
I need to put a bigger engine in mine
The doors are 100 lbs. each.
Very long doors!
Funny my 73 was stolen in 1990 never to be seen again I still search the Vin
I would too!
Touching the outside paint to close the door. Oh No! Use the interior handle.
Good eye! And good tip!
That wont hurt the paint
How tall is that driver. Can't he move the seat back a bit.
Seems like he needs seat extensions. His knees are ridin that dash.
He needs some anti rattle kits for those doors.
Sorry bud but stripes on 70 1/2 camaros was not on RS cars only Z/28!!!
Hmm... Still looks bad ass!

For sure! We made the switch to less music a few episodes later.
I want them to work on their health so they don’t be here sooner than later.
Nice Camaro besides the woman color, paint that shit jet black with white stripes
