I love my Sabre 22, bought it about 5 years ago with virtually no sailing experience and treat myself to a solo week-long trip each year to explore somewhere different. I learn something new and break something new every trip! Yours looks like a nice one.
Nice video Jeremy - a couple of great days sailing. Thanks for sharing - we need a lot more Australian trailer yacht cruising videos. Cheers, Gavin & Amanda
@@jeremy000 - Thank you for the kind comments. Sabres are a very popular trailer yacht down here. Funnily enough, we are planning on heading north this winter - assuming the borders are re-opened. If you head down this way next year, we'd be happy to show you around. Cheers, Gavin & Amanda.
I can raise the mast by myself but it’s asking for trouble. I made a gin pole to get around that issue. See trailer sailer forum for mor on that solution
Great to see Nereid sailing on the bay. I'm a previous owner with fantastic memories of a great little yacht.

Where in aus are you Phil. We are setting out on some road trips from next year once I renovate the trailer. Happy to sail with others.
Did you find the Sabre 22 easy enough to get mast setup, launch and sail solo?

Thanks guys, lovely Farr you have. Seen your great vids over the years and looking forward to some southern trailer trips next year. cheers

Looking at buying a trailer sailer and have no experience either.
Looks great, thanks for sharing!
I was looking at getting a sabre 22. Never sailed but on my bucket list. Could one person set it up and sail solo?
Yes I sail it by myself. I use autopilot though to allow me to go forward. A furling headsail would be handy
