Man, a small pocket cruiser like your Precision 18 is the most simple and practical sailboat around. No plumbing and electrical issues to deal with and still takes you where you want to go. .
Well done! Vivid memories of 40 years past of our Hunt 17 came to me with all of the updates conceived and built. That was one of the best parts of the era. Thank you for this.
nice little hints to make your environment more enjoyable but yet in the same account does not cost an harm and a leg that way you can enjoyed your sailing and enjoyed the comfort of some helpful necessity have a great day
These are some super ideas! I especially like the solar panel extension mount!! Thanks so much for your video post. We own an '87 P-18 up on the NH coast and we run her is all sorts of conditions... stable and easy!
Funny thing. Just two days ago we watched your in-depth cabin tour video. Great video and also nice looking boat. Thanks for posting it. And also thanks for your positive feedback.
I cant recall how I first found your channel, I think it may have been a video on how to sharpen carving tools or bowl turning? Anyways you have subsequently taken me on your wonderful journey I have learnt so much and it is like reading the best novel ever from the homestead and now to the water. I am here in the UK and previously have no experience of sailing (although I have spent much time in the Chessapeake bay area). I know there is a back story which may be difficult but to explore but please keep making these wondeful videos whereever they take you!!
I would be very interested in a breakdown or short video on how you built the gimbaled stove mount. I'd love to have that in my Tangerine 18. Love your videos!
Found your channel and subscribed. I have a Capri 18, it is similar but different from your Precision. I am a daysailor, not a crusiser, still hoping to learn from your experiences.
are y'all just vacationing, or are you going back to the homestead? i love all your videos, but i miss the carving and homesteading. The sailing is pretty awesome too, but i miss the carving. safe travels.
I’d love to make some Lee cloths for my Precision 18, any suggestions on where to find instructions or patterns? Looks like the perfect winter project!
The lee cloths make the inside of the boat so much more functional. They are extremely light and durable and inexpensive. I just loosely measured the areas and added an inch and a half on all sides for a good him. Then we got some grommets from Home Depot and with the extra thickness that the him added it made a really strong place to put the grommets. Anyways we are both sure you would really enjoy having some. Thanks for your comments and also thank you for your interaction we really appreciate that
Thank you so much for the tips and ideas. I have J 24 now. I am looking at a Precision 19 for sale and really appreciate the ease of launch and the deck stepped mast.
Your little gimbaled stove is ingenious! True talent Have you made it yourself? Or you can buy it in a store. If you have, could you tell me how to do it? I encourage you to continue making your videos. I like them. My boat in jeanneau sun 2000 of 6.25 meters. Greetings and thank you.
how does the lifting keel work? im looking at a swift 18 which has sink cooker and a RR jib but this looks a bit more races than comfy but a contender for sure.
Ive been fine without an anchor locker. Can leave anchor exposed and it's fine. Can have anchor in cockpit to make tossing it overboard easier. So not esswntial.
yes On my M15 I anchor from the cockpit setting the bow anchor from the cock pit while motoring toward shore. anchor and chain are stowed in the cockpit lazarettes.
Yomanbosun! After spending so much time on big boats, little boats and toy boats, it's not the size that matters... It's how wet you get! Obviously the positives of having a gijantic-Atlantic ship is having lots of useless space you never need... But it's there... The positives of small boat sailing is emence! Less and less again. Less $$ at the marina, bottom paint and of coarse.. The purchase price. When sailing you sit at the helm and the helm of a massive boat and the helm of a little boat is basically the same. You sit there... Steering... The places you can get in to.. Gunk holeing... Can only be with a little boat. Many positives there... In the end the size that matters is the one that gives you what you need... To enjoy the wind on you face and silently and peacefully take you to your dreams.. The original tiny home holds vast oppertunities ♥ ♥ ♥ love you Brother You should sell that stove on Etsy!
Thanks 4 your Videos, I love your ship. You have nice methods how you keep the boat swimming, great .... keep it up! I´m a sailing musician, would be happy 4 your likes an Abos 2. You can find a Band on Tour by Boat Serie on my channel and lots of Music. I´ll be continuing this with my new Boat AVALON, a Commander 31* from Denmark. Your welcome, I´ll be watching you 2. Sail save, Fair winds, love

That was one of the smoothest walkthrough videos I've seen. Well done.
Thank you for showing us the upgrades you made to your beloved Precision 18 Sailboat, it was a treat.
Love the gimbal action on the stove, AND you built it yourself. Lots of useful tips, great video!

@@CarvingAPath nice, and thank you. I like it..its a nice little criuser. Where did you get your downwind pole or did you make it?
We ordered it from West Marine. They come with only one end installed so you can cut it to the exact length that you need.
Great ideas. 👍
Great ideas, specially the stove! Thanks!
Thanks for sharing! Take care and GOD BLESS 🙏!
Love the music there at the end
That stove made my day!

Found your channel and subscribed. I have a Capri 18, it is similar but different from your Precision.

Great boat, I think those two batteries could support a small fridge and I would get a small stove that runs on those small bottles of propane.
Love it! Now lets hear you pick guitar! I see those nails.
Lovely. All you need
Great solutions, useful video. Can you give me your advice on how to eventually solve the problem of a WC. Thank you for the answer
Thanks for the video guys

Let us know if you have any questions along the way. we might be able to help.
Very nice
Just found your channel! Any chance you’d want to do a tutorial on how you made the lee cloths and how you fastened them?
Nice boat what year is yours and how much do they run
Thank you so much for the tips and ideas. I have J 24 now. I am looking at a Precision 19 for sale and really appreciate the ease of launch and the deck stepped mast.

Locust is bad to the bone! A great wood. As hard as it gets!
I love my Precision 21... Not much longer but lots more room inside...
What brand of auto pilot are you using?
Can i buy the gimbaled stove online from amazon?
What year model would you consider the evolved design?
i am looking for a sailboat under 19 ft to spend a season or 2 on seeing how much of the great loop i can do. this looks suitable
You need to build a little hen cage like the stove and always have a chicken with ya.
Nice…i have an Oday23 in brasil…good vibe
can you have a bimini on this boat?
how does the lifting keel work? im looking at a swift 18 which has sink cooker and a RR jib but this looks a bit more races

Nice😊
Anchor locker? Ask Scandinavians how they do it :)
Good little video mister Path, butt I don't like Sailboats that's just me sail on.
Using block ice and opening the cooler sparingly will last you a couple of days. The bigger the block, the better.
U should get the stove a patent
Wow, my Havsfidra-20 looks a big cruiser versus your boat! 😳
thumbs up:)
🤗 😎
how many times did he say “crucial” 😂
Toilet ?
😊
luv ya ☠❤☠
