I have the 2015 QX60, and sat in the new 2017 MDX. Hands down, I like the MDX yet I'm not sold on the less stitched leather than Infiniti. I'll be upgrading to the MDX next summer.
Add in the details of how their AWD systems work and Acura takes the cake easily. Acura's SH AWD system is a true AWD system. It is the best in the industry. It is working all the time and under ALL conditions. It is great in snow while driving slowly and safely. On the other hand, Infiniti's AWD system is more about gaining traction while under some what hard acceleration. If you're driving slowly on snow, one wheel starts to slip very slightly, it is not working. It does not turn on until you start to lose a decent amount of traction. It is more for sport than for safety. Just see the video titled "Acura SH-AWD traction test: MDX vs. JX35" on channel "Passing Power."
MDX hands down. QX60 is a bit bigger (and looks more like a minivan) and that's about it. Also Infiniti/Nissan have the lowest resale values out of the three main Japanese brands (Lexus/Acura/Infiniti Toyota/Honda/Nissan) which is a fact.
I own a fully loaded 2014 QX60. I like the interior appointments of the QX60 but hands down would wish to have the engine power and performance of the MDX vs the CVT in the QX60. The only real thing that I hated about the MDX is the ugly interior and the plastic dash. In the best of worlds, I wish the QX60 has the engine of the MDX, though the CVT of Infiniti has become better and more reliable than previous generation. So really, whichever vehicle you get, there will be some trade offs.
Robert LeBlanc I test drove it yesterday and felt that the ride was too bumpy and the car felt sluggish. I test drove the infiniti 2017 qx60 about 2 weeks ago and I'm leaning towards that model eventhough inside it feels a little bit dated. But I still got a more luxurious feel from it. Plus they finally added some horsepower.
MDX drives like a car with a buttery smooth and reliable engine and a geared transmission. A CVT has no place in a large family crossover, which is why they’re now getting rid of it. If driving was part of this review I think the Acura would pull ahead in points.
MDX looks nicer than QX60 I think. But the interior of QX60 looks more premium than MDX. The QX60 has better infotainment and Nav, but the MDX has better security features. The MDX drives better with SH-AWD. Overall, I like the MDX.
It all depends on what fits best for you: There are many differences but let me try to help: - if you are planning to get base model, go for mdx, it has better active safely in base model -if you are planning to get fully loaded, go for qx60, because it has many more features like panoramic moon roof, blind spot intervention, active trace control, 15 speaker Bose with 5.1 sound, predictive collision detection and many more.. - if you like sporty SUV, go for mdx, although both are 3-row suv after all so don’t expect any serious performance from either - if you like luxury, go for qx60 - if you want modern although little complex electronics such as button for a gear, two screens etc, go for mdx, qx60 infotainment is old school but very intuitive - if you will use 3 rows often, go for qx60, it has way better access to 3rd row even with car seat installed - if you do lot of city driving, mdx is better ride, qx60s cvt feels sluggish at times but on freeway for long drives qx60 feels more comfortable I hope that helps
I have owned 4 Infiniti's and only 1 Acura. Honda/Acura has weak motor mounts, but their engines are more refined. Infiniti is just bullet proof, they are less refined, but just much more sporty. Infiniti wins.
although I agree about the CVT but Honda's not only have transmission issues ( mostly Odyssey's )but if you miss a timing belt change with a Honda your done has happened to me 3 times. I'm still undecided. May just go with a Highlander and be done with it.
CVT a down side ? I’ve never seen a Prius with transmission issues . Most of the heavy duty ATVs rely on the technology also and I guess it’s a matter of opinion if you like a seamless shift or not . As for horse power the 17 qx is actually 295 . All in all this is a very good review
The both were on our shopping list but we eventually chose Infiniti as our family's 2nd 7-seater. Let me be very objective: they are all Great vehicles! MDX wins Qx60 in terms of handling, performance and AWD. SH Awd is very very truly well engineered! Infiniti AWD is not full time AWD meaning it's rear wheels are not powered at all time. But is SHAwd the reason you give up Infiniti? No...qx60 is probably the most spacious luxury 7-seater in market, the details, finishing, its leatherette stitching dashboard is way more luxurious comparing to MDX. It's 3 row legroom makes two adults sitting there very comfortable. My wife loves QX60 by making a very good point: why do I need SHAWD if I am just using it for grocery shopping and dropping 3 kids to school?:)
I agree. Overall styling and comfort kills Acura. If sophisticated AWD is sought out, how about Nissan GTR's and Infiniti Q60 red sport 400 torque vectoring capable AWD system? QX60 does the job in comfort, safety and feature. You don't need a race car type AWD for a family car.
Wrong. Check out the intelligent AWD in the GTR and the Infiniti Q60 red sport 400. Ever heard about torque vectoring? SH-AWD does not offer than. Not even capable of it.
Both Infiniti and Acura did a pretty good job with the styling on the interior and exterior, but I think the QX60 is slightly more luxurious. Do you think so CarConfections?
+Matthew's Car Corner I would agree. I just don't like the dual screens on the MDX. It looks out of place on a luxury car. Everything else is good though
I definitely the interior of the Acura is much nicer. To say that because the Infiniti has more leather it makes it looks more premium. I definitely don't think so. Having the great design appeal and leather looks great and makes it luxury. Hands down team Acura
Again, the cvt transmission does actually give you 7 clean shifts like a transmission. You can actually shift it manually in all 7 "gears", it is electronically moved into 7 positions on the cvt as gear ratio's as in an auto transmission. it will shift and sound like a 7 speed transmission. I know, I own one and love the unit. Not fond of the CVT transmission, but this unit drives like a 7 speed not like a CVT. Love the unit.
Thanks a lot!! Going with the pathfinder platinum. Infiniti looks better but I dont think it's worth paying that much more. MDX is sharper than both. No toe package on either🤔
Trading the MDX for the QX60. Purchased the MDX brand new, fully loaded and take care of our vehicles. Have the same year Ford Expedition Eddie Bauer with more miles and the leather in the Expedition is holding up great, the MDX tearing apart. The Expedition has given no problems, only mechanical work done is one tune up, change tires, brakes and oil change. The MDX along with the normal tuneup, oil changes, tires and brakes also add timing chain, leaking power steering pump, transmission problems, suspension work, irritating screen controls for AC and navigation. ---------------------- Trading in this week for a new Infiniti Q60 and very excited to be getting rid of the MDX.
One thing I noticed when I'm looking for a used QX60 is that most have entertainment headrest for the backseat and the MDX doesn't. Is there a reason for that? Also, newer MDX, 2018, now have Apple play.
Yes. To date, only Infiniti is able to solve the puzzle of moving the 2nd row out of the way to access the 3rd row without removing an installed baby or child seat. Infiniti / Nissan should copyright this. And to those that did not know, Infiniti was the first vehicle to have the "Around View cameras". Not MB, BMW, Acura, Lexus or any other. FACTS!
Really comes down to what you need it for. The QX60 has far more room especially in the 3rd row if you need to use it to haul people. MDX on the other is a great handling car and has a good engine and transmission. I'd say comfort goes to the QX60 while driving dynamics to the MDX. Choose what's best for you.
Great review as always, Car Confections. I test drove both these vehicles and they both were awesome to drive. The infotain systems for both the vehicles are lagging behind compared to their competition. Honestly, I didn’t like either. QX60 had better interiors with leather on dash and door, which felt premium. But I liked the exterior of MDX. The diamond pentagon grill looked amazing. I personally liked Acura better and bought it. I’ve been driving it for a couple of months and I love it. It’s not as sophisticated as the Audi Q7 or Volvo XC90, but at the price point I couldn’t complain.
i had a 2017 qx60 now i got a 2020 mdx aspec i would have to say the acura is a way better drive ..infinit is more comfortable in the back that’s about it ....the qx has not type of power and handle ..
The seat does tilt and slide. It is also a very poorly made seat. The middle row seat vibrates/shakes at all speeds. Buyer beware!!!! Nissan Pathfinders also have this issue. Infiniti case #25643554.
How about driving experience? Nothing drives like Acura! In emergency situation it will defenetly provide you with more confidence than Infinity or any other SUV and what not. Period
+lazuruslong63 You are correct. This is the 2016 model in the video. The 2017's have just now reached dealers, and we will have a review of it posted in a couple days.
I was wondering what you thought about the Mazda cx9 signature edition and how it might stack up to these two. I was/still might be considering the Mazda cx9. Did you review it at all. In any case, your reviews are incredibly detailed. Looking forward to more.
Lee Yaw We don't review Mazdas (for now) so we can't comment on CX-9. However I do know that size wise theses three models line up quite nicely. Thanks for the support!
Not sure if anyone else comment on it. Had I known about it, I wouldn't had gotten the 2017 QX60. And that is the 3rd row have no vents. On a hot summer day that's coming up. The 3rd row passengers are gonna get roasted. It sounded like it's relying on the 2nd row vents behind the front row center console to cool off both 2nd row and 3rd row. WTF? Sounded like they had that before, but removed it. (I'll be it was for cost saving) Very dumb move. They do seem to have ducts underneath the 2nd row seats, so heating the 3rd row shouldn't be a problem? But no AC vent out to the 3rd row? I feel sorry for them. And this was supposed to be a family oriented vehicle.
The 2016/2017 infiniti QX60 3.5L engine is rated at 295HP and 270 ft.lbs of torque. Please make sure you check your specs before giving a review. The I-4 2.5 engine is turbo and has 250hp/243 torque it is an option, not often in those units.
+David Romero David, the engine and transmission changes are for the 2017 QX60 and the one featured in the video is a 2016 model year. Sorry for any confusion, we have a 2017 QX60 review you could check out if you want
Personally, I like the engine of the MDX over the QX60. I like the LED headlights and DTRL of the Acura. However, when I climbed into the cabin, I lost interest on looking at cheap plastic dash. The Acura controls are just plain hideous with weird angles and clusterfuck busy buttons and screen display. I went with the QX60 and picked up a fully loaded AWD model. I had the dealer install an OEM tow hitch. All said and done, never looked back to the Acura and very pleased with the purchase.
I'd go with MDX. It feels like it's a larger and roomier car inside, and it can tow more than the Infiniti. On the other hand the Infiniti feels faster ( I love infiniti engines)
sometimes theres a difference between the numbers and what you feel when you sit in a car. You gotta try both cars to see what I mean. MDX has more headroom than the Infitini and it has wider seats.
The MDX has poor technology and screen systems. The 2017 QX60 that I own is extremely nice compared to the one being demonstrated, I have no idea of his system. My unit shows a great home screen, quick access and very intuitive system. the resolution is 10x better than the MDX. MDX is still using a very outdated system and we are already looking at the 2018 models getting ready to be released and they did not update the very outdated technology, still using the very old poor system. Just my thoughts I evaluated these units very closely before buying one. The MDX still does not come with a panoramic roof either. The infiniti does and that was the other deciding factor for me and of course cost. The infiniti has higher HP, Higher Torque, better technology, moon roof and when I actually bought my infiniti, they came off MSRP almost 3 times the amount of the MDX. I received a $55,700 dollar MSRP QX60 for $41,300, MDX would only reduce the $56,350 MSRP down to $52,400. It was a no brainer to take the QX60. Just my own personal thoughts and opinions from actually driving them each for a long period of time about a week each prior to buying, the dealership I bought from sales both of these vehicles, so they did not care which I chose, they wanted a sale. Infiniti was the overall best unit and awesome value.
+David Romero Nevermind, I see you own a 2017 QX60. I agree that the extra changes Infiniti added for 2017 (like new infotainment) would only help it out further in this comparison.
Nissan/Infinity still has the god awful key fob since forever. Good thing is in 5 years, the Q60 will dramatically drop in price so we can all afford it.
Nope. Infiniti's VQ V6 engines sound better and sexier. QX60 has CVT V6. Compare the engine note of the Honda/Acura CVT modesl with Infiniti and you'd know what I meant. On this head to head comparison, Acura MDX has the regular V6 engine compared to the CVT V6 the QX60 carries.
I hate that I can't find a real unbiased review on these two vehicles. A point for a key fob because it looks like a lower tier models key fob is ridiculous. I'm comparing these two 3 row luxury crossovers and a key fob will probably not weight into the decision
+David Simpson, Jr. I am far from an audiophile and we didn't have the vehicles side by side. Both systems sounded pretty good, but again I really don't know how to judge the subtleties so I elected to go with something more quantitative.
the infiniti came with 15 speaker Bose. The Acura came with "Acura premium" witch is the same as "Honda premium" and I can tell you the Bose is far better.
Bose doesn't know shit when it comes to speakers in vehicles. They suck. Every Audi owner hates their sound system. And every GM SUV we have had sounded less than decent. And you can hear it, the ELS in the Acura sounded better even in this video. But no idea how each was tuned either. Too bad he didn't show us.
Chad Slavin are you literally smoking crack cocaine Bose is one of the best audio systems you don't need those high end audio systems in your Bentleys benz or Rolls-Royce they break easily you can turn the bass all the way up and then put the volume all the way up and the sound does muffle or anything
that infotainment system in the infiniti is garbage...we have the same system in our 2010 g37...ill never buy another infiniti as long as i live. their seats are so damn uncomfortable and their brakes a utter crap. we have to get new brakes almost every year due to their vibration issues.
Payne Stancil+ I think "people" just have different preferences on cars. I don't think it's a Asian, white, black or mexican thing. Either way... take care bud.
+Joshua Irwin The MDX only has 12 speakers when equipped with the Advance package AND the Entertainment package. Our was missing that option which is why it was only 10 speakers.
Most of Acura's points came from opinion things anyway. Like in my opinion the rear of the QX60 looks alot better because of those taillights. If they had compared the 2017 Infiniti to the 2017 Acura they would've found that Infiniti increased power actually beyond Acura by 5hp. Also the exhaust sound is completely opinion, VQ's sound way better than whiny vtechs to me. Plus infiniti engines last way longer because VQ's are oversquare and Honda engines are undersquare.
Chad Slavin your wrong on the safety department does the acira have back up collision intervention forward collision warning blindspot intervention and you were able to access the third row with a child seat in the second row can you do that in a Acura NO!
romel 4life Sorry man but you're wrong. The Acura does have blind spot and FCW and prevention. It's standard on all MDX's, unlike the QX60. What I was talking about is comparing crash test results, the MDX scores better.
romel 4life Yeah man I see that, it offers a little more safety tech. You're missing what I'm saying because you're such a fanboy that you can't comprehend.
I have the 2015 QX60, and sat in the new 2017 MDX. Hands down, I like the MDX yet I'm not sold on the less stitched leather than Infiniti. I'll be upgrading to the MDX next summer.
I’m about to order a 2019 QX60 like this one, very excited.
Wow definitely still looking to get the acura mdx love them looks so good!
JX35" on channel "Passing Power."
both car did great jobs and i like both car but i like the infiniti rather than acura mdx

So really, whichever vehicle you get, there will be some trade offs.
I prefer the MDX. You can't get any better.
MoNo K I mean, a Q7 is better. But at this price point, you're right.
Kahleb Araujo Lets see if you’re still saying this, I’m assuming your junk broke down
@@perkhere2252 Infiniti is pretty reliable sir..
Well done. Exactly the type of breakdown I was looking for.
+Drew J Glad we could help!
After the update, I'd take the MDX. I also love SH-AWD so there's that.
We just picked up our 2017 MDX Advance last week and it's fantastic. :)
What update? Did they update their infotainment system?
what update?
TheBurzhui
The 2017 is a mid-gen refresh. The vastly improved styling, inside and out, is also what made my wife choose it over the 2016 model.
I always loved Honda/Acura lights
MDX looks nicer than QX60 I think. But the interior of QX60 looks more premium than MDX. The QX60 has better infotainment and Nav, but the MDX has better security features. The MDX drives better with SH-AWD. Overall, I like the MDX.
The CVT is a deal breaker for me.
We've owned multiple Infiniti's. Our latest is the QX60 and we love it! The 2017 QX60's are out and we plan to own another one.
Solid review. Was deciding on both the 2017 mdx or qx60. And went with the qx60. So happy with my decision
It all depends on what fits best for you:
There are many differences but let me try to help:
- if you are planning to get base model, go for mdx, it has better active safely in base model
-if you are planning to get fully loaded, go for qx60, because it has many more features like panoramic moon roof, blind spot intervention, active trace control, 15 speaker Bose with 5.1 sound, predictive collision detection and many more..
- if you like sporty SUV, go for mdx, although both are 3-row suv after all so don’t expect any serious performance from either
- if you like luxury, go for qx60
- if you want modern although little complex electronics such as button for a gear, two screens etc, go for mdx, qx60 infotainment is old school but very intuitive
- if you will use 3 rows often, go for qx60, it has way better access to 3rd row even with car seat installed
- if you do lot of city driving, mdx is better ride, qx60s cvt feels sluggish at times but on freeway for long drives qx60 feels more comfortable
I hope that helps
Klick Flix which exterior design do you think wins? Also is the qx60 in sport mode as good in performance now with the new bump in power to 295?
QX60 has a Direct-injected V-6 that makes 295 hp and 270 lb-ft of torque
Which is slightly more than the Acura but the Acura is much faster.
I have owned 4 Infiniti's and only 1 Acura. Honda/Acura has weak motor mounts, but their engines are more refined. Infiniti is just bullet proof, they are less refined, but just much more sporty. Infiniti wins.
The CVT and lack of SH-AWD is reason number one and two not to get the QX.
F23A4 Accord it the qx60 is more family friendly than a mdx the mdx is more towards performance
mdx is family too but doesnt compromise driving dynamics.
Everyone does want or need SH-AWD
although I agree about the CVT but Honda's not only have transmission issues ( mostly Odyssey's )but if you miss a timing belt change with a Honda your done has happened to me 3 times. I'm still undecided. May just go with a Highlander and be done with it.

My wife loves QX60 by making a very good point: why do I need SHAWD if I am just using it for grocery shopping and dropping 3 kids to school?:)
This is a good explanation. MDX definitely tends to focus more on performance than luxury. Infiniti lacks Android auto at least as of 5 years ago but
I stick with the MDX very notorious vehicle for quality and luxurious
Honda's SH-AWD spanks Nissan's Intuitive AWD hands down
No it doesn't
The SH-AWD is the only reason Nissan's all wheel drive even exist. Yes it does.
Romeo W Explain to me how is the SH-AWD system not a torque vectoring system?
You really can’t beat a Honda engine with Acura’s beefy suspension. I have a 07 MDX and it runs beautifully. Also got a 2012 Acura TL. I Love my cars
Thinking about both before, but finally got QX60,love it now!!!
Can you update us.. how's the cvt holding up.. the mileage, issues?
I love the look of the MDX
Wish it had driving feel, acceleration, and maneuverability comparisons.
The MDX is far more reliable than the QX60. Mainly because Honda is more reliable than Nissan.
I think you forgot to allocate points for driving and handling which is the most important in a luxury suv.
acura is better but as i see the interior of the infiniti is better than the acura mdx
Thanks for watching everyone! Be sure to let us know which one you prefer in comments below, and don't forget to like and subscribe!
Inside the mdx it's feels like Honda when it comes to the dash. Infiniti is more luxurious
Infiniti did a great job on dual screens with their sedans that flows nicely.
CVT with a luxury price ? No thanks . I'll go for mdx. At least it has a very reliable engine and transmission.
Spot on JD!
Great video. Infiniti QX 60 is way better than Acura MDX but both are great vehicles!
Thanks!
Bravo007 MDX is way way way better
I definitely the interior of the Acura is much nicer. To say that because the Infiniti has more leather it makes it looks more premium. I definitely don't think so. Having the great design appeal and leather looks great and makes it luxury. Hands down team Acura
sh-awd wins all
I didn't see the infinity as the winner but okay
Honestly it's too close to call. Really it's just a matter of what characteristics are the most important to you. Thanks for the comment!
aside from one or two things they got real knit picky
I did
Acura MDX best men’s car
Again, the cvt transmission does actually give you 7 clean shifts like a transmission. David Romero is acceleration fine off the line? Does sport mode wake it up? I hear with the power bump to 295 these are quick
I knew the infiniti would win, it's the best one... I love it so much more
Sorry, I think the MDX front looks better.
Great objective comparison! Keep up the good work
aamir rizwan Thank you very much!
Infinity, more room, softer ride, and bigger discount off sticker.
don't forget depreciation
Thanks a lot!! Going with the pathfinder platinum. Infiniti looks better but I dont think it's worth paying that much more. MDX is sharper than both. No toe package on either🤔
outstanding breakdown, very thorough...keep up the great work
+Jean Lacroix Thank you!

Trading in this week for a new Infiniti Q60 and very excited to be getting rid of the MDX.
Infinity really upgraded the cvt transmission for 2017
One thing I noticed when I'm looking for a used QX60 is that most have entertainment headrest for the backseat and the MDX doesn't. Is there a reason for that? Also, newer MDX, 2018, now have Apple play.
I am thinking of either getting a mdx or a qx60 and you helped mr make my decision for the qx60
Glad to hear that! Thanks for watching!
Just having cat transmission issues at 80k miles so I likely never buy a car with cvt again. Getting ready to pull the trigger on a mdx
Qx60 nicer
You didn't include the fact that the Infiniti's 2nd row could roll forward with a child seat in place.
That the MDX can't do.
Wait so the MDX can't do that?
FACTS!
Romeo W I ended up getting a 2017 infiniti qx60
Nice. Very good choice.
Really comes down to what you need it for. The QX60 has far more room especially in the 3rd row if you need to use it to haul people. MDX on the other is a great handling car and has a good engine and transmission. I'd say comfort goes to the QX60 while driving dynamics to the MDX. Choose what's best for you.
good comparison buddy. keep it up. hoping to see a Lx570 vs Qx80 vs Escalade soon!
+lucas huang Thanks! Maybe we will!
THE MDX THE BEST FOR DRIVE
Great review as always, Car Confections. I test drove both these vehicles and they both were awesome to drive. The infotain systems for both the vehicles are lagging behind compared to their competition. Honestly, I didn’t like either. QX60 had better interiors with leather on dash and door, which felt premium. But I liked the exterior of MDX. The diamond pentagon grill looked amazing. I personally liked Acura better and bought it. i had a 2017 qx60 now i got a 2020 mdx aspec i would have to say the acura is a way better drive ..infinit is more comfortable in the back that’s about it ....the qx has not type of power and handle ..
Very honest and to the point review. Thanks for your time and effort to make it so easy for buyers.
You are welcome! We are glad you enjoyed and found it useful!
Forgot the cooling front seats on the MDX.......
I thought you did a great job on this video. Thank you.
Overall...then I'll take the HP and SH AWD...
Q60 beat the MDX in sales in June 2016 maybe because the MDX 2017 refresh model was just around the corner?
The seat does tilt and slide. It is also a very poorly made seat. The middle row seat vibrates/shakes at all speeds. Buyer beware!!!! Nissan Pathfinders also have this issue. Infiniti case #25643554.
Whenever I see a QX60 on the road it's usually a woman driving with some kids in the back. I'll take the Acura.
How about driving experience? Nothing drives like Acura! In emergency situation it will defenetly provide you with more confidence than Infinity or any other SUV and what not. Period
You literally have nothing to back that up except your opinion.
Иван К the Acura handles way better and is known as being the cheaper BMW X5. The QX60 is known as being a marshmallow lol
Chad Slavin BMW X5 is shit
I still can't believe that the QX60 won
QX all the way!
The Infiniti QX60 was refreshed for 2016 models
The 2017 QX60 also has standard 295 HP, not the 265 reported here.
+lazuruslong63 You are correct. This is the 2016 model in the video. The 2017's have just now reached dealers, and we will have a review of it posted in a couple days.
lazuruslong63 still slower lol
I would choose the Infiniti QX60
Wonderful review buddy! Keep it up..
+Lee Yaw Thanks!
I'm an Infiniti fan therefore I'd choose the QX60...
I wish you would focus on the second, but mostly third row comfort more. That's the purpose of these cars - otherwise you'd get a sedan.
wonderful job. Thank you.
You're welcome! Thanks for watching!
MDX look younger
The 2016/2017 infiniti QX60 3.5L engine is rated at 295HP and 270 ft.lbs of torque. Please make sure you check your specs before giving a review. The I-4 2.5 engine is turbo and has 250hp/243 torque it is an option, not often in those units.
+David Romero David, the engine and transmission changes are for the 2017 QX60 and the one featured in the video is a 2016 model year. Sorry for any confusion, we have a 2017 QX60 review you could check out if you want
Love the song in the MDX. I had a QX60 as a rental but is was more of a base one tho
Awesome job on comparing these 2 vehicle !!
+Sunil Gupta Thanks!
Wonderfully comparo...love the attention to every detail and taking the pain to compare even models...please keep up the great work!
*wonderful comparo
+SaiRulez1 Thank you! We appreciate your support! Hopefully we will be making more of these in the future!
You didn’t tow with the vehicle so you didn’t explore EVERYTHING about both of the vehicles.
Not many people go back when they buy an Infiniti. There's just something about them that makes them superior in alot of ways.
More aggressive front on the Infiniti? Lmao I don't think the mdx lines could get any sharper on the front.
No one can get even closer in 2022 Acura Mdx..AHHH
SH-AWD though
how about a review between 2017 MDX vs 2016 CX9?
Similar size vehicles, but not in the same league or class
I'd go with MDX. It feels like it's a larger and roomier car inside, and it can tow more than the Infiniti. On the other hand the Infiniti feels faster ( I love infiniti engines)
How does it feel roomier when it isn't? The Infiniti has more space.
sometimes theres a difference between the numbers and what you feel when you sit in a car.
I agree that the extra changes Infiniti added for 2017 (like new infotainment) would only help it out further in this comparison.
that's because you couldn't afford the MDX
Nissan/Infinity still has the god awful key fob since forever. Good thing is in 5 years, the Q60 will dramatically drop in price so we can all afford it.
Does all models (including base) have gps?
No. You need the Technology package or higher.
Sean Zythus most suv/cars Don t
For the record the Acura seat in the rear definitely do not work the same as the Acura
Wow that Infiniti sounds like ass compared to the MDX
Found this surprising since generally Infiniti V6 engines sound amazing. The MDX actually sounded more Infiniti than the Infiniti.
+Supertrooper697 Yea Foreal!!! But Honda V6's always sounded good too.
It looked like the infiniti was started cold too. VQ's sound alot better than whiny vtechs to me. Nothing beats a VQ.
I hate that I can't find a real unbiased review on these two vehicles. A point for a key fob because it looks like a lower tier models key fob is ridiculous. I'm comparing these two 3 row luxury crossovers and a key fob will probably not weight into the decision
good review
More speakers equals a win on the audio front?
+David Simpson, Jr. I am far from an audiophile and we didn't have the vehicles side by side. Both systems sounded pretty good, but again I really don't know how to judge the subtleties so I elected to go with something more quantitative.
the infiniti came with 15 speaker Bose. The Acura came with "Acura premium" witch is the same as "Honda premium" and I can tell you the Bose is far better.
Nothing beats Bose Sound. Bose Knows Speakers
Acura MDX Advance with DVD
that infotainment system in the infiniti is garbage...we have the same system in our 2010 g37...ill never buy another infiniti as long as i live. their seats are so damn uncomfortable and their brakes a utter crap. we have to get new brakes almost every year due to their vibration issues.
Your a moron.
Payne Stancil+ Sorry u feel that way man...why so mean?
Nothing..I guess Asians look at cars differently than regular people.
Payne Stancil+ I think "people" just have different preferences on cars. I don't think it's a Asian, white, black or mexican thing. Either way... take care bud.
I have a m35 2007, bought akebono brakes and generic disks, service at 2 years only
Cool comparison, but I need to correct you right quick, the MDX has 12 speakers and 601 watts.
+Joshua Irwin The MDX only has 12 speakers when equipped with the Advance package AND the Entertainment package. Our was missing that option which is why it was only 10 speakers.
+CarConfections Oh, my MDX has the entertainment package
Most of Acura's points came from opinion things anyway. Like in my opinion the rear of the QX60 looks alot better because of those taillights. If they had compared the 2017 Infiniti to the 2017 Acura they would've found that Infiniti increased power actually beyond Acura by 5hp. Also the exhaust sound is completely opinion, VQ's sound way better than whiny vtechs to me. Plus infiniti engines last way longer because VQ's are oversquare and Honda engines are undersquare.
Payne Stancil I prefer the MDX. And it's still faster. 0-60 in 6 sec vs 7.1
What I was talking about is comparing crash test results, the MDX scores better.
www.infinitiusa.com/crossover/qx60/compare/
romel 4life Yeah man I see that, it offers a little more safety tech. You're missing what I'm saying because you're such a fanboy that you can't comprehend.
good and cool 2017 mdz
Acuras inflotainment is from 2009 hondas
Infinitis inflotainment if so outdated that is from 2005 for nav equipped models
