      COMPLETE RESPECT TO YOU BUVE'S. Flav arguing like a child with his only argument "scored more goals". goals against burnley west brom when your team constantly finishes seasons without trophies, out the top 4, scraping top 4, kane has consistenly bottled semi's and finals not scoring and that penalty against france when it was our best chance of winning the world cup is forever cemented as the biggest bottler of this football generation, its criminal what he gets away with just because he's scored a lot of goals in games that mean nothing in the history of football.

    • @MrFirFI
      @MrFirFI ปีที่แล้ว +4

      The thing is this football is not just about skill on the ball its about mentality as well.Kane has no winning mentality if he had he would've dragged them over that CL final or changed club to win trophies or play for Tottenham win nothing ,but at the same time contribute big time for England.Then he can be called a legend of the game etc.Now hes just Tottenham legend and good footballer nothing more.Winning something once is easy ,but staying on top is hard when everyone is watching You and analizing You all the time.Thats what Henry did he was analyzed by every defender every game cause Arsenal we're on top constantly or there about when he played and Kane simply isn't.ATM You all call Haaland a weaker striker ,but at the same time he's getting analyzed more than Kane and getting shut down more and players are focusing on him more.

    I feel like Rory is way off saying more goals were scored when Shearer played and it was easier to score. Shearer played in the 90s, the 4-4-2 era and possibly one of the most defensive eras of football and there was less goals scored than there is now.
    Liverpool finished runners up in 2014 scored 101 goals, nobody scored 100 goals in the League in the 90s. Chelsea scored 103 in 2010, Man City 104 in 2014, 106 in 2018, 102 in 2020.
    Man Utd won the League in 1993 scoring 67 goals in 42 games. Arsenal won it in 1998 scoring 68 goals in 38 games - Man City have already scored 64 goals this season with 13 games to go.

      Tbf that does seem to be a more of a top team thing. The premier league goals per game is essentially between 2.5-2.8 every season.
      Last few years are closer to the 2.8 range so I guess there has been a rise, but also I think with a couple exceptions teams mostly spread goals around, so I don’t know if it’s much easier for an individual player to score now than before.

    • @leeronnie604
      @leeronnie604 ปีที่แล้ว

      I literally paused it at the point when Rory said it was harder to score goals now so I could comment this! Also to add to your point, today we have var that almost caters to strikers by looking at every slight handball and touch on the attacking opposition when in the box, only thing defenders really benefit from var is offsides. Shearer also played in an era of great defenders, todays defenders are nothing like they was back then

    • @stealthiscool

      Rory is just plain wrong there, it is a fact that at least in the past half century it has never been easier to score goals than it is now, just look at the average goals per game now compared to the 90s.
