Trying to get a workout sustainable. Knees won’t let me play basketball so I’m trying to see if static kiting like you are doing gives you a burn for chest arms lats legs back or what? It seems the Tantrum 250 will work me the hardest but I must say you made the 220 look almost like a framed stunt kite. Mesmerizing. Hands down the best kite video regarding parafoils I’ve seen and today I watched at least 20. Do you think this could be a daily workout if done strategically? I love kites just wondering if I can get the fun and the workout in at the same time. Gyms are over for me since the pandemic. Thoughts? Do you ever get a burn or sore after flying and see your muscles tighten over time?

Yes, you could get a reasonable workout with one of these in winds 15mph+, but could you count on such wind every day or even 1 out of 4?

Great video! Looks like an awesome day. I'd love to get your input on something. I've been flying a cheap (Wish.ca) 2.5m kite for a few weeks and have been having a blast with it, so I'd like to invest some money into something of better quality and precision, as this one isn't the most stable. I'm deciding between the synapse 170 & 200, or the tantrum 220. I'm 150lbs but it doesn't get super windy where I live, and haven't been dragged by this one yet, so I think the 220 would still be within my capabilities haha, just not sure if I'd enjoy something faster/smaller, I still want a decent pull.

Hi there, the synapse 170 has loads of pull in wind speed of 18+ mph wind, if you don't get that sort of wind speed I would sgest the 220 as that would have more pull in lower wind of around 13mph thanks for watching and happy flying, would love to here what you finally choose and how you get on with it👍

I have the Tantrum 220 and I also weigh 150lbs. It is an absolute blast in 15mph winds. At our weight you might get dragged on your face a few yards if you fly in 25mph winds 😅.

@@kiteflyingadventures2611 i never wound up buying a new kite! I kept flying that cheap Wish one until last week when I left it high in a palm tree in Mexico xD searched my comment history to find this thread again. Since it served me well for a couple years I am debating on buying another one of the cheap 2.5m + nicer strap handles for ~$50, or if I should spend more on a Synapse 170 or 200 for $99/$135CAD respectively. Just not sure how much more enjoyment/performance I would get out of the extra money. It's also the depths of winter and kite flying isn't really possible right now, so maybe I'll hold off and watch for a sale on the prism ones.
