I will tell you no, but make sure that the Ebrakes are not on. Some of them do not require the scanner. I guess it depends on your model. Some the piston returns with out the scanner.
I want to buy a scanner for my 2017 Honda Accord and 2019 Civic so I can program the Electronic Park Brake (EPB) after I replace the brake pads. Would you recommend the XTOOL D7S or the Launch CRP919X ?
Hey there. So I just had my rear brakes and rotors replaced and I have a flashing red light on my dashboard as well as the light on my parking brake button flashes red. I can use my parking brake button and the electronic brakes work fine, but the lights won’t go away. When I drive off, my dashboard tells me with a big red symbol saying “Release Parking Brake.” Any suggestions on what to do?
Hey I read your message again. I’m not sure but it has to be scanned. I’m thinking something was left unplugged, or installation was not done correctly.
Great video! Better than other videos I've seen. Thank you
Do you have to have a scanner to set the electronic brake, To do this job?

The launch. It gives you more to work with.

You need a scan tool to reset the system. If you don’t have any other problems. Then it’s a reset type thing.

do you apply the assembly paste on the pads?
Hello, I do not use it. I think it creates a dirt magnet.
Does this method retract both sides at the same time?😊
If you are using a scanner? Yes. If no scanner required yes it will work for both sides.
Do those slider pins need grease?
Yes, wipe off whatever you see there now and inspect the pin for cracks… and apply new grease. Be sure to try and see inside the booth
@@exodusmovement4596 thank you
