I agree. The people who ignored this situation are just as guilty as the father. This abuse lasted for years. At least the gutless judge could have given her mother shared custody, in any other situation of parents battling for custody they would have unless there was PROOF. Sadly, the testimony and proof that was offered against the father was ignored, as well as the pleas of help from these kids. There needs to be something done about all of the people who allowed this as well as the father.

There is a recording of the teachers talking about Gracie and allegation. It is sickening and they should be fired and nvr work with children again. Along with charges against them for failur to report child abuse as a mandatory mandate reporter!!!
No matter how many times i hear Gracies "cry for help" and about Grant's case, it hits the same. Stomach turning. I can't imagine the hurt,anger,sadness,every other emotion she and her mother feel. Grant and Gracie both deserve justice.

I have horrible PTSD from being violated by my uncle and my grandfather. Im over 50 and it still haunts me. I have to say she's so lucky to have a mom like that because my mom is the devil. I had a horrible childhood. All my 3 sisters are screwed up from what happened my oldest sister was violated by our stepfather who is also the devil. We were raised like wolves and even wolves treat there pups better than we were. Getting help is key. Without it the pain will consume you. I heard this story and I believe a father is definitely capable of killing its own. My stepfather beat me so bad when I was 5 years old and did nothing about it. I spent my childhood until 16yrs old in the hospital for broken bones and seizures. I ran away when I was 15 my other 2 sisters left at 13 and 15 I was alone. I moved in with another family were I got to see how family is supposed to be like. I hope Grant gets justice. And I can promise you theres a special place in hell for her dad. It breaks my heart to hear her story because it sounds so familiar right down to the feet rubbing against hers. Its like these evil men have a pattern thats the same. My heart goes out to mom I can't imagine her pain.

I heard this story not long ago and it makes me so angry. Where is the justice? Even if you can't prove he killed his son what about the sexual abuse of the daughter? I know he is a narcissist and master manipulator but how did no one believe this child?

Unfortunately children being returned to abusive parents is not unusual. Statistically if a mother raises concerns of sexual or physical abuse family court judges often favor the father.

Dang Olivia! I've missed you like crazy but what a freaking way to pop back up.
This is what I'm talking about! At least as long as I've been a part of the true crime community on TH-cam, I've never seen a creator get involved in spreading awareness and giving us the ability to help with something in such an impactful way, and I've seen creators shed light on and bring us into some really big ongoing things! But this is by far the biggest opportunity I have had from the community to be able to help with something.
I'm in shock over this girl's story and especially that it has gone on for as long as it has even though it sounds like everybody has tried to get help.
I WILL say this:
When it comes to the family court system, I don't think 99.9% of people in our country have a freaking clue how horrible it is and how especially horrible it's becoming for mothers. I guarantee you the majority of people that have first-hand experience of their own, or that think they know a lot about our family judicial system, don't even have the slightest clue.
I do.
While me and my children's situation does not involve trauma or such horrible abuse the way this poor family's story does, my story does involve The father of my children blatantly lying simply because he did not want to have to drive 10 minutes to their amazing private school, and instead wanted to be able to throw them on a bus every morning to go to the public school in his town. He got a family friend who also happened to be a shark of a lawyer, didn't have to pay, and he completely destroyed my life. In more ways than I could count. He did irreparable damage to my boys lives and again this was all over complete selfishness and laziness once he started dating my childhood best friend who also had two children. It's resulted in me having to fight just to survive for my kids and especially to be able to stand on my own two feet for them, which I'm pretty sure will never be possible until I can find a way to afford an amazing lawyer to actually fight back and get the situation handled correctly and in a just way that is what is best for my children. That will never change the way it has emotionally impacted me, and destroyed so many jobs, career paths, homes, and especially the way I see myself and feel as a mother. Every single thing I ever dreamed of which all had to do with being a mother, it was all taken away. Experiences that seem monotonous and small I never got to have. I'm not saying that I don't have or see my children. I absolutely do, but he has complete control over where they go to school, where I live, my money, everything. It's insane. The worst part is not only did he lie about everything, Even with the lot the situation was simple and it was very obvious to see what is and was best for my kids yet the judge, who I didn't know at the time was good friends with my ex's lawyer as well as my ex's family, decisions and changes in our families situation that were unheard of and quite frankly some of them were probably against the law. The only way I could do anything about it was to appeal and in order to appeal I had to pay an application fee and then pay for every single court minute which would have come out to a minimum of $1,200. I had to do all of this within either 30 or 60 days, I can't remember, and of course I couldn't even afford a lawyer so that was not possible. Anyway I'm blurting all of this out on voice to text while I work pumping gas overnight just because it's something I feel really strongly about and when I read some of the comments I was surprised at how surprised you guys were that the court systems allow stuff like this. You have no idea. Hopefully I have time to go back and check the typos and clean this up a bit but probably won't! Love you all!
I have been thru the court system with my boys' Dad and you couldn't be more right. Whoever has the most money will win. It's not right. Even when I had proof of abuse. I had a lawyer but one that didn't even take time to read the details of the case. I couldn't afford a lawyer who would care enough to fight for what was right. My boys have been to hell and back in the last several years. It should never have been that way.

It's really really horrific the way things are set up and has done permanent damage to me and my kids. Unfortunately there's still damage being done every single day, and I'll never be the same.
