how in God's name can a junior engineering student update his 2019 solidworks to 2020/21? Ive been trying to figure this out for hours

If I buy the student edition license, it will expire in 12 months and it blocks the use of the software needing to pay again? Or it will not upgrade anymore but I can use normally?
Hi there, SOLIDWORKS Student Edition licenses are version-specific, and hence it is not possible to upgrade these products. The
licenses will be valid up to 365 days, beginning from the first date of activation. If your current Student Edition license
has expired, contact your school/university to issue you a free home use license of SOLIDWORKS. If the school/university
is not able to assign you a free home use license, you can purchase a new Student Edition license from the SOLIDWORKS

I did create an account with my student email, but I entered the serial number where the video says I'm not supposed to enter, but to enter in a later stage. What can I do now?

Hello, I graduated with a master's degree from POLITEHNICA National University for Science and Technology - Bucharest, Romania this year. Through my university years I used Fusion 360, but I would also want to try and learn SolidWorks since it's a standard for certain job applications.
