She also seems to have a technology similar to what Icon has (They are both composed of various cubes that can take more complex shapes).

I actually thought that the girl and Icon were the same person, and she was turned into Icon after the cube technology attacked her and changed her body into cubes. And then when she woke up, that wasn't just a dream, but it was a memory. And when she was in the mansion, that was all actually in Icon's head, because they are kind of like two entities living in the same place. But those are just my thoughts. :P Did that even make sense? XD

Liam went from biological telekinetic Alien Parasites (Design), to Mysterious Technological matter manipulators (Internecion Cube), to An AI capable of telekinesis and manipulating matter (Murder Drones). As a long time fan, I love to see this process
You can actually see how this heavily influenced murder drones, which is cool, for example a girl being used as a skin suit, for some reason that's a running theme.
Ok, ok, I just noticed that when Kirie orders a snack, the vending machine flashed "Welcome Kirie" with lets-be-honest IC-0n's face, "Your flesh will be reformed anew", "We'll peel apart your soul", and "Come back to us Kirie" twice. Is Kirie a prototype of sorts of IC-0n who somehow managed to escape? Im the first episode IC-on mentioned future designs of her, and labeled herself as the first. Who's to say there weren't alpha and beta versions already out, running around, and causing chaos. How many IC-on...s are there??? Someone who has more time and is willing to start theorizing please take this. And yes I did step through each frame at 0.25 speed. Edit: When her eyes turn into box-ed X-s, is that IC-on, or some prototype taking over? The POV of sorts of her vision showed what could only be unstable/incomplete vision, but she bled, and has (or had) bones? What is Kirie!?!?!?!?!?!? Also IC-on's face. Also I don't think this is a dream, rather a memory. She has a photo labeled "Class of 2038". indicating she has lived a normal human life at some point.
My assumption, based on what we see, is that Kirie *was* human at one point, but during the scene where she has contact with a cube, I believe that what happened was that the cube sort of integrated itself into her rather than assimilating her, and the eyes changing is when she became a fully fledged Internecion Cube. Some people might think that she was always a cube though, due to how faces show all these errors, like she was a machine observing them, but I moreso believe that they're errors *remembering* them. Also, tangentially related, I think that her demon cat was an attempt to synthesize a cat that failed, though not catastrophically like IC-0n's egg. This failure was still functional, just not *complete*
I don’t think it was necessarily IC-0n who was responsible for Kirie being mutated/corrupted, I think it was more likely one of or maybe even a few of IC-0n’s many iterations, there isn’t a lot of solid evidence but we did see that IC-01n all the way up to IC-40n where being contained by the Biowaste Management Inc. (which is likely a cover title used by a much more nefarious organization… wow sounded a lot like Kofi there, sheesh. Anyway) thanks to IC-313n’s appearance in episode 3 we know there are at LEAST 313 iterations of IC-0n that have been made by that point and we can imagine that pretty much all of them are either laying low, dead, or working for the government and maybe even BMI (Biowaste Management Inc.) if there still around anymore. I imagine whatever event also caused Kirie to become corrupted is likely also the same reason all the iterations where either killed or able to escape. I’m also convinced that there where definitely more iterations created after this event as well but how, by who, and how many is well… at this moment, impossible to know for sure. If the main characters ever return the facility hidden within the Eisenhower-Johnson tunnel (which they might do at some point to try and figure out the origin of IC-0n) they may find out that the facility has long since fallen into disarray likely destroyed and abandoned after the event we saw in this episode and was probably shittily covered up by the government later after they found out about it.
The part where Icon questioned if he would hurt him, and then his eyes faded into his glasses. Is highly disturbing, because it shows that he’s willing enough to hurt/kill Icon for his research, or objective. *IT ALSO MEANS THAT THERES SOME JUICY CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT COMING UP... if i'm reading the code on IC-0n's face correctly, she is currently operating in a 'safe mode' (she's nerfed basically) because of data corruptions. she is also missing the Operating String 'God Mind', which implies her mental capacity is stunted as well.

She could be exploiting a loophole as it's the explosive compound is what's going to harm him, not her. Or she was lying about the explosives to try to force him to help her. Or she could've harmed him earlier when she injected him, but now she can't since she rebooted in safe mode.

Okay, considering what that means, along with Ic-0n’s bizarre cube heart, I think the interconnection cubes are made by taking the flesh of a person and reforming it into a new body. Kirie narrowly survived this happening to her, which I’m guessing has left such an impact on her psyche she’s even obsessed with the cube. In the last episode Ic-0n mentioned newer models of herself, and pair that with the mysterious elongated skeleton that was behind Kirie, it could be possible this facility is using inhumane experimentation to create these devices.
The company seems to be called refinoc biowaste management inc so they likely have some sort of thing with compacting flesh into cubes. Mabye the souls of everything that gets crushed into a cube and likely stored in some sort of pixel stack box or somthing, sort of became angry and evil......mabye some sort of ai corruption stuff? Mabye there is evil experiments going on but take my thoughts into consideration. They really potentially do somthing with biomatter to the cubes

God damnit I can’t get over how great you create the atmosphere of these. It’s the silent fear of these animatics that make them so amazing. Instead of dialog you let the unsettling images and thoughts scare the viewer. The fact that this is an animatic and not a full blown animation baffles me. This is amazing!

Think about it: Kirie must not be entirely human. It's likely she was designed or had something installed into her so that she is compatible with the Internecion Cube.
Internecion Cube might be one of my favorite properties that never was. It's got a little Half-Life/Portal vibe, some uncomfortable, casual body horror, and a general air of uneasiness. Bits of it almost feel like Silent Hill. And then it abruptly shifts into cringe UwU, which again abruptly shifts into sincere vulnerability. There's a dark, grimy, horror undercurrent to all of this that I *love*. And a rawness here that isn't *quite* present in the other works. I guess what I'm saying is the shy child frantically trying to remove the mystery nano-machines sticking to her hands and pealing all the flesh off her bones is something that stuck with me.
I like how the ic-on likes the administrator while he was basically trying to learn about her and destroy her then she basically says she likes him because she feels safe around him.

Ok, ok, I just noticed that when Kirie orders a snack, the vending machine flashed "Welcome Kirie" with lets-be-honest IC-0n's face, "Your flesh will be reformed anew", "We'll peel apart your soul", and "Come back to us Kirie" twice. Is Kirie a prototype of sorts of IC-0n who somehow managed to escape? Im the first episode IC-on mentioned future designs of her, and labeled herself as the first. Who's to say there weren't alpha and beta versions already out, running around, and causing chaos. How many IC-on...s are there???

Edit: When her eyes turn into box-ed X-s, is that IC-on, or some prototype taking over? The POV of sorts of her vision showed what could only be unstable/incomplete vision, but she bled, and has (or had) bones? What is Kirie!?!?!?!?!?!? Also IC-on's face.
Also I don't think this is a dream, rather a memory. She has a photo labeled "Class of 2038". indicating she has lived a normal human life at some point.

My assumption, based on what we see, is that Kirie *was* human at one point, but during the scene where she has contact with a cube, I believe that what happened was that the cube sort of integrated itself into her rather than assimilating her, and the eyes changing is when she became a fully fledged Internecion Cube. Some people might think that she was always a cube though, due to how faces show all these errors, like she was a machine observing them, but I moreso believe that they're errors *remembering* them.
Also, tangentially related, I think that her demon cat was an attempt to synthesize a cat that failed, though not catastrophically like IC-0n's egg. This failure was still functional, just not *complete*
I don’t think it was necessarily IC-0n who was responsible for Kirie being mutated/corrupted, I think it was more likely one of or maybe even a few of IC-0n’s many iterations, there isn’t a lot of solid evidence but we did see that IC-01n all the way up to IC-40n where being contained by the Biowaste Management Inc. (which is likely a cover title used by a much more nefarious organization… wow sounded a lot like Kofi there, sheesh. Anyway) thanks to IC-313n’s appearance in episode 3 we know there are at LEAST 313 iterations of IC-0n that have been made by that point and we can imagine that pretty much all of them are either laying low, dead, or working for the government and maybe even BMI (Biowaste Management Inc.) if there still around anymore. I imagine whatever event also caused Kirie to become corrupted is likely also the same reason all the iterations where either killed or able to escape. I’m also convinced that there where definitely more iterations created after this event as well but how, by who, and how many is well… at this moment, impossible to know for sure. If the main characters ever return the facility hidden within the Eisenhower-Johnson tunnel (which they might do at some point to try and figure out the origin of IC-0n) they may find out that the facility has long since fallen into disarray likely destroyed and abandoned after the event we saw in this episode and was probably shittily covered up by the government later after they found out about it.

Okay, considering what that means, along with Ic-0n’s bizarre cube heart, I think the interconnection cubes are made by taking the flesh of a person and reforming it into a new body. Kirie narrowly survived this happening to her, which I’m guessing has left such an impact on her psyche she’s even obsessed with the cube. In the last episode Ic-0n mentioned newer models of herself, and pair that with the mysterious elongated skeleton that was behind Kirie, it could be possible this facility is using inhumane experimentation to create these devices.
The company seems to be called refinoc biowaste management inc so they likely have some sort of thing with compacting flesh into cubes. Mabye the souls of everything that gets crushed into a cube and likely stored in some sort of pixel stack box or somthing, sort of became angry and evil......mabye some sort of ai corruption stuff? Mabye there is evil experiments going on but take my thoughts into consideration. They really potentially do somthing with biomatter to the cubes

God damnit I can’t get over how great you create the atmosphere of these. It’s the silent fear of these animatics that make them so amazing. Instead of dialog you let the unsettling images and thoughts scare the viewer. The fact that this is an animatic and not a full blown animation baffles me. This is amazing!

Think about it: Kirie must not be entirely human. It's likely she was designed or had something installed into her so that she is compatible with the Internecion Cube.
Internecion Cube might be one of my favorite properties that never was. It's got a little Half-Life/Portal vibe, some uncomfortable, casual body horror, and a general air of uneasiness. Bits of it almost feel like Silent Hill. And then it abruptly shifts into cringe UwU, which again abruptly shifts into sincere vulnerability. There's a dark, grimy, horror undercurrent to all of this that I *love*. And a rawness here that isn't *quite* present in the other works. I guess what I'm saying is the shy child frantically trying to remove the mystery nano-machines sticking to her hands and pealing all the flesh off her bones is something that stuck with me.
I like how the ic-on likes the administrator while he was basically trying to learn about her and destroy her then she basically says she likes him because she feels safe around him.
