Fantastic build mate. I bought the Trumpeter 1/350 Nimitz kit and was looking at this kit to practice on but decided to go with the their 1/700 kit because it's more detailed and up to date. It also includes generic hangar bay walls that the 1/350 kit doesn't have (it just has the hangar deck) so i was going to 3D scan them and print it as well as some of the platforms the 1/350 kit doesn't have. I was hoping this kit had the hangar bay but it's similar to the 1/600 Academy Enterprise kit that has the closed elevator doors and no hangar bay. Great build and great to watch. Cheers.
Looks great despite the kit's age and lack of accuracy! I like that you added rigging to the mast and added the arresting cable it looks appropriate for the scale what did you use? I also have the Trumpeter 1/500 Nimitz Class kit except its the sister ship USS George Washington CVN-73. I served as ships company onboard from 2006- 07. I got the kit as a gift and was immedaitely disappointed the lack of accuracy for the price. I ended up scratch building a lot of details referencing photos to keep it accurate. Its 75% complete. Thanks for sharing your build.
Really nice job on the build. looks great. Oh, and just to let you know... @18:30, the word is AIRCRAFT without an "s" whether you talk about one or many. "Aircrafts" is not a word.
@@davidmartindale2263 it's ok, the kit is a cheap one and expects the poor quality of the design, especially since the aircraft is so thick in size, thanks for the concern.
