As a retired Sailor from the air wing community this is by far the most accurate representation in a diorama I’ve ever seen. Remarkable work and an inspiration to us fellow modelers. Well done!

Great job! I was on Cowpens many years ago and we sailed with the Kitty Hawk many times...Our ship was nicknamed the "Mighty Moo" and Kitty Hawk had a pretty rowdy crew-hence her name was the "$hitty Kitty." Great diorama...
The Kitty Hawk was my home for 2 years (before the F-18s). I absolutely love this piece. Thank you, for choosing her and not one of the more "famous'" carriers. I'd love to have this under glass in my home.
As a former USS KITTY HAWK CV-63 sailor I must say you did Ms. Kitty proud. Fantastic job. My hope is that I can build mine just as good, I'm back dating mine too 1990, when she was going through SLEP (Service Life Extension Program) basically a major overall and reconfiguration.
CV-63, QM, 1992-93. Loved your vision of both ships. From the various "mismatched paint jobs" on the Cowpens superstructure below the bridge, to the jet exhaust residue on the jet blast deflector. The only error was the placement of the ships awards. I haven't seen a picture where they were ever placed on the front facing part of the island. The water effects are incredible!
I would love to see you do a video of a cruiser! I'm a cruiser guy, was on the San Jacinto for the Corona cruise. Great job! The Cowpens looks amazing with that paint on the forward superstructure!
Incredible work!! This is the first video that I came across, that had the radar tower that was slightly aft of the main island of the Kitty Hawk. All the other model videos of the Kitty Hawk didn't have the radar tower that was slightly aft of the radar tower. The Kitty Hawk always had an radar tower slightly aft of the main island. I was in the air wing from 1983 to 1984, aboard the Kitty Hawk.

This brings back memories; I saw this picture of the USS Kittyhawk and her giant "Don't Tread on Me" Jack way back when, and thinking "Did they get special permission from the President?" and "When can we get one of these for our ship?" Of course we had the regular Jack for Morning Colors at the Jack Staff (the flag pole at the bow end of the ship), as well as the Big "Old Glory" for the mast. Flying Old Glory entering port always felt good....but the idea of flying THIS giant Jack from the Mast still makes me smile - unfortunately, our ship never got one :(

Looks pretty damn great…Bravo Zulu! The ensign at the gaff looks proportional to approximately a garrison flag on an Army post…although the garrison flag is massive….these look pretty large too. Just my observation 🙈
very well done. Only thing stopping it from being a picture is the waves between the ships.. Not enough chop. And the flags on the ships are blowing 45 degrees across and the wind is coming much more from the the front. And I'm nit picking...lol
I absolutely love this build. I do have to ask, what kit/s did you use for the CG-63? I have purchased the Minihobby version as it was the only one I could find and it was difficult to work with. Is the Dragon kit better, or are there other kits that I am missing during my internet search? I would like to build another and purchase some of the photo-etch kits and higher-quality decals I have seen. Again, amazing build. you made a new subscriber!

Modelling has been described as reproducing history in miniature, and this Dio illustrates this perfectly , an absolutely beautiful piece of work

I used dragon kit. But there are so many things to fix.
