I appreciate how you don’t cut out the parts of the video where the dog don’t listen to you everyone else does so it’s like when I go to train my dog I don’t know what to do when he doesn’t do it as smooth and easy as when someone else does it
I have a 4 month old puppy I’m trying to work with. I’m very thankful that you used a puppy that isn’t 100% trained yet as It helps a lot more than watching an adult dog that is already well trained. It definitely shows that challenges you can face when trying to train a puppy lol. thank you

Off leash training is fun but make sure to abide by leash laws, as your dog may be friendly but not everyone else’s is and it can be scary being responsible for an aggressive dog when there’s an off-leash pup nearby.

Thanks for this! My dog is a 2 year Blue heeler named Bandit. He is mostly off leash trained and knows many commands and tricks but I'm having trouble getting him to heel when I'm on a bike, he does it fine when on leash but not off leash.

I've got an Australian Cattle dog I rescued a few months ago, I've been watching a LOT of training video's so we've both been on a journey of sorts..She's pretty food focused which I think ( in my humble opinion) is easier to build drive in the dog to get what you want her to do...along with a LOT of repartitions great video
I have one also, His name is Bandit. Blue heeler (Aussi cattle dog), are very toy and food driven and LOVE to work and train, your dog would love this!

I have a 4 month old Doberman pup and I learned him to stop pulling and he’s kinda getting it and he’s not pulling noch now and it’s time to start training him for a higher level so when he’s fully grown up I’ll be able to take him out without a leash on and skateboard without worrying that he’s gonna get lost or start following something 😃
Have you succeded in doing that?

I have a question with something I'm struggling with. My dog has luxating Patella and I have to be careful not to let her gain weight. You said in your videos that it is important to prepare a high-value treat, and you mentioned you use cheese. What type of cheese are you using?

Coming from me as a novice trying to train the family dog, it seems like you aren't really luring the dog into a sit after the spin into heel, is that intentional? I did enjoy the video and the beginning to see what is possible. Thanks!

Hi. My 4 or 4 rescued doberma will not turn, he is food motivated but he does not follow the food. he just keeps sited in front of me. Any advice?

Most trainers recommend short 5 minute training sessions spread out throughout the day for puppies of that age. Treats, toys, and extra affection are all great rewards for good work and different rewards work better for different dogs. When first learning it's best to reward every time your dog does the correct behavior, but as your dog gets more experienced you can ask for the same behavior several times or mix up a couple behaviors in a row to up the requirement for a reward so that your dog can perform even when rewards aren't present.
How do I advance on this training if there isn't a second video?
Sometimes it's like ordering something from Amazon. The picture looks great but what I get at my house isn't nearly as good.

For this kind of heeling you have to go real slow about pulling out good and you really never completely eliminate it all together

hey! so I have a German shepherd malamute cross and he needs a lot of exercise and is considerably high energy. However, he is very lazy when inside the house most of the time. when I try to do some training in the house such as practicing a free heal, he is slow and lazy and doesn't have much motivation. In the past I have broke down in tears at my 4H meetings because while other kids were training their dogs, Moka was just laying there. I tried being more exciting and interesting and it didn't work. It's so frustrating because he is a very stubborn dog and when he doesn't want to do something, he won't do it. He is very friendly and extremely intelligent so he knows when we are trying to convince him to do something he doesn't wanna do. He can be so difficult because I love biking and when I go biking with him, I practically have to walk my bike after 5 minutes, but at night in the house, he has so much energy, no matter how tired and exercised he was that day. He walks through our blinds and barks at us if we do not let him outside. When we do let him outside, all he does is bark at our neighbors. I tried to tell my family to ignore him when he barks for attention, but they refuse. they tried it once and it worked and I get so upset because they won't listen to me even though I am the person who knows most about dogs and training in my house. Do you have any idea as to why he is so crazy at night? he goes for a 2 hour walk during the day and at night goes for a 15 minute walk. It's so hard to deal with him and so stressful because my parents constantly yell at me to get him to stop barking. they don't understand that by giving him attention when he barks is gonna make him bark more in the future. When I try to explain that to them, they just tell me that they don't wanna hear him bark.
Cut his feed down, you may be giving him a lot of food. Give him 2 meals a day once at 7am and 5pm. This will keep him hungry, attentive and alert during the day and become more focused on you. Always carry treats with u to create more focus and do not reward until he is calm and assertive.
@@badboysingh69 I already feed him 2 times a day at those times and I feed him 2 1/2 cups of food which is 1000 calories which is what he needs. Plus our vet said hes at a healthy weight. Hes a lot better now. I'm not struggling with any of those problems except the barking when hes outside. He is older and has calmed down A LOT. Ty for the advice!

@@badboysingh69 lol yes. I trained him to walk on a treadmill, but shortly after, our treadmill broke. Also he has arthritis in his hips so I have to be gentle with exercise (or do a few short walks a day)
What can i do if my dog sits staring at the treat and wont follow it? They wont move and irs their favorite treats

As long as your consistent you can choose the right just don't let the dog decide when to switch sides. Until the behavior is learned, it's best to stick to one way. Eventually you can teach left/right heel once the heel is mastered.
Easiest way to get your dog in the heel position? Go to the door before you're about to walk the dog. The dog should be facing the door. Then tell the dog to SIT. Wait for the dog to sit.

always watching you while he is walking the dog is not a robot he must also appreciate the sorroundings while both of you are walking in the street thats the result of luring too much food

How to get puppy to stop biting hands and fingers too hard when he’s excited to work? That we need to fix first. If he’s calm he takes treats ok, but if he’s excited he bites very hard.
