I would love to know what gear you are using for the gimbal. Also what is the steady cam rig? or is it part of the gimbal? I have several of the lenses and am just learning to use them with an iPhone pro 13. I was going to update to the 15 pro max but am hearing there are issues with it getting hot. My question is I am a heavy user of the DOF Adapter Mark II. I own 2 of them. I use them on my S22 and S23 Ultra. Is their an improvement on optics that I feel a need to upgrade or is the Mark III adapted to fit the next generation of phones coming out and the quality of picture will be similar. More light to the censor available, better low light performance, less distortion etc, etc
the main optical improvement comes with better macro focusing capabilities. It also has a bit better frame coverage (less zoom required) and a bit less distortion, however in terms of low light performance and overall image look it is very similar.

I've seen a couple of talks that you could film Apple Log with HEVC H.265 through the Blackmagic Camera App and wonder if it might be usable as a daily driver. Just starting with filmography on iPhone, got the Pro Max and figuring out what's best to use without producing horrifying file sizes. I already got a T7 SSD from Samsung, but might have more than 2-3 hours of film material per day.

Great to see the pro features filtering down to phones. You should really consider (you probably already have) adding a ssd dock to future grips. I can see more phones offering the feature of recording to ssd going forward. The ability to slide in an ssd securely behind the camera would be great.

You should make the LOG Color Profile option available in the APP and also integrate it for use with DJI Osmo Mobile. The recording quality on the APP is absurd. Thanks!
I really don't know anything about it and I am looking for a good zoom lens for the iPhone 15 pro max. What I want is that I want to be able to zoom a lot further with the video camera, if possible, and with decent quality of course. Where do I use this; at the football, at a concert and at Tomorrowland. The problem is that I always stand very far away to film, I don't like standing in the crowd. That's why I need a good lens for video camera zooming (with a suitable case) for this for a maximum of 200 euros. Which is good both during the day and in the dark.
After further testing, we concluded it's not worth advertising it as compatible with 5x. It is excellent on main cameras and 3x camera on 15 Pro, however on 5x it doesn't look that good ;(

shooting in daylight they must have can't get a vid with shutter at 2x the frame rate at low iso of 100 without it in daylight that is any good in the blackmagic app. Maybe they got footage from the native app and recorded to an ssd or the beastcage app.
The videos are swapped @ 2:36 in the video, in the presentation of both views with the description. If you watch the video footage before that mark in the video, you can clearly see the crop effect the 1.7 lens has on the video. No lens video captures more of the bridges towers than the 1.7 lens video. Someone messed up....

Because its mounting a vintage russian lens it looks like. Low light is more sensor related and is one aspect where phone cameras will suffer due to their tiny sensors and light gathering capabilities. Hence why it's not likely to be in promo - all outside good lighting which is where these set ups will be useful (for now).
@@northofbrandon no, what I meant was older adapters often had light leakage, which meant that you would get some hazy / loss of contrast. That would look even worse / more obvious in low light. The lens that they put on there might be vintage but it seems pretty good! It's sharp, and not much chromatic aberration. There is a tad bit of fuzziness and aberration on the sides/edges but totally usable. And as you say, it might be more due to the lens than the adapter
@beastgripTV Even it was done "before" you cant deny the choppy looking footage from iphones due to shutter angle. Which i notice in your vids. the main 1x is fixed aperture so you have to use ND filters on top of youre variable focal length adapters. *_That's one of the problems that you're not facing because you're not shooting film, and you're not teaching your massive audience about the importance of control of light, but just showing the automated software shit._*
Ooorr.. use your phone that you have as a backup camera . If you are starting the job you probably dont have a second camera but if you have a good phone you can do 2 camera ange concerts or interviews with a few cheap accessories . The 15 pro has APPLE PRO RES LOG footage 4k 60fps. You could color match that with any sony camera or cannon easily and get a 2 angle interview. Or if your camera dies mid concert ( happened to me ) you will have a backup device just put it in the cage , put on the SAME LENS and good to go.

What are the benefits of backing on kickstarter opposed to waiting for official launch? 2. How useful is the DOF adator if one mainly shoots landscapes or subjects from a distance with zoom or wide angel lenses?
1. Backing Kickstarter basically helps the company with the funds required to initiate the large scale projects as it is a source of interest free debt. 2. DOF adapters are great for portrait shots rather than wider landscape shots, in which case you are better off without any attachments to your lens.

You can shoot vertical, but I am not sure how usable this 1:2.4 format will be, plus vertical flares :)

to achieve great performance on 5x camera and on wide camera, it is very hard. Unless it's a dedicated design for zoom camera only.

The lens that they put on there might be vintage but it seems pretty good! It's sharp, and not much chromatic aberration. There is a tad bit of fuzziness and aberration on the sides/edges but totally usable. And as you say, it might be more due to the lens than the adapter

You should teach how to "maximize aperture control" with ND filter, because it was never done before.
@beastgripTV Even it was done "before" you cant deny the choppy looking footage from iphones due to shutter angle. Which i notice in your vids. the main 1x is fixed aperture so you have to use ND filters on top of youre variable focal length adapters. *_That's one of the problems that you're not facing because you're not shooting film, and you're not teaching your massive audience about the importance of control of light, but just showing the automated software shit._*

Ooorr.. use your phone that you have as a backup camera . If you are starting the job you probably dont have a second camera but if you have a good phone you can do 2 camera ange concerts or interviews with a few cheap accessories . The 15 pro has APPLE PRO RES LOG footage 4k 60fps. You could color match that with any sony camera or cannon easily and get a 2 angle interview. Or if your camera dies mid concert ( happened to me ) you will have a backup device just put it in the cage , put on the SAME LENS and good to go.

1. Backing Kickstarter basically helps the company with the funds required to initiate the large scale projects as it is a source of interest free debt.
2. DOF adapters are great for portrait shots rather than wider landscape shots, in which case you are better off without any attachments to your lens.
