The Revels are actually all different flavours, not all raisin-mush flavour! The smallest one is usually a chocolate covered raisin. The next biggest is a hard caramel. The next two similar sized ones are orange and coffee. There is jeopardy because a lot of people don't like coffee and you can't tell if you will get orange or coffee. The biggest ones are honeycomb, like a Malteser. The flat, coin-like ones are just chocolate, similar to a Minstrel.
The packaging on toffee crisp being similar to Reece’s is why you don’t have them! Instead of changing the US packaging Nestle decided to just not sell toffee crisp in the US. It’s one of my favourite chocolate bars, so simple but delicious!
It is Tunnocks and they come from Scotland. Tunnocks products form the major part of the Scottish diet which explains the high levels of obesity and diabetes. Available in the whole UK.
If it was Milky Way crispy rolls you've been trying to get, unfortunately they have been discontinued :( I love Magic Stars, the best way to have them is to pour them into a bag of popcorn (sweet & salty is my go-to) and give it a shake - so simple, yet so good!
Nestle's UK base is in York because that's where Rowntrees/Mackintosh is from. They invented kit-kat, rolo, aero, smarties, fruit pastilles, yorkie, lion bar, after eights, polo's, munchies, caramac, and boxes of chocolates too such as quality Street, dairy box, black magic and they were the fourth biggest chocolate company in the world before Nestle took them over in the late 80s.
I'm really enjoying your reactions to our chocolates and sweets. I have a few suggestions of things for you to try, frys chocolate cream is gorgeous and has been around forever, Turkish delight which is one of my personal favourites and also the rose and lemon Turkish delight which is very sweet and you only really see it at Christmas and also jelly tots which are very sweet but awesome 👌
You need to try British Orange Fanta vs US Orange Fanta. British one more natural and less sugar. Also its time to see you try Robinsons squashes... blackcurrant, blackcurrant and apple, and orange
Not a fan of the product but for jingles "The Milky Bar Kid is big and tough/And only the best is good enough/Nestle's Milky Bar". Search TH-cam for the cute child in a cowboy outfit. Actually, if you can be bothered to search UK commercial jingles on TH-cam, search "Secret Lemonade Drinker". The music was written and performed by Elvis Costello's father.
Chocolate: Toblerone, chocolate orange, toffee crisp, boost, twirl, aero mint, Galaxy ripple, malteasers, bounty, Crunchie, Cadbury’s chocolate buttons hit different too. Biscuits: shortbread, custard creams, chocolate digestives, ginger nuts, jammy dodgers, rich tea dunked in a cup of tea, in fact dunk all biscuits in a cup of tea! Dunk a Kit Kat in tea too! Cakes: apple turnover with fresh cream, custard slice, eclair with fresh cream
It's the same, but also the Mars bar is better than our Milky Way. Any recommendations on must visit places in Wales? We missed visiting on our recent trip, but definitely want to visit next time we go to the UK.
Birds instant anything. Meh! caramel logs - never heard of 'em; Toffee crisp, oooooh, yes! Milky bar - meh! Caramac - no idea; Revels - not my cuppa T; Milky Way - oooh, yes; Kit Kat - classic, always good; Favourite choc bar jingle from the 1980s: Everyone's a Fruit and Nut Case: th-cam.com/video/f0_zJ-0VHu0/w-d-xo.html Also, that remains among my fave choc bars
The next time you make it, sprinkle the sponge/biscuits with some sherry/sweet wine, leave it to soak in, it is traditional and gives it a more grown up (whatever that is) taste.
Depending on where abouts you are staying in the UK then head to Cheddar Gorge in Somerset. So beautiful and the cheese shop will give you a taste of the real Cheddar. Or if near the Cotswolds then head to the Three ways house hoteland book in for dinner there. They do the pudding club which is literally course after course of proper british puddings....arrive hungry lol M&S - Percy pigs, cos those are the rules If you are Harry potter fans the book in to the Warner Bros Studios where a lots of the on set filming was done - truly wonderful
Hi I’m from the Uk and my favourite uk chocolate I’m afraid something you probably won’t like it’s a Twirl Orange flavour and I also like Starbars. And my favourite American bar I love payday and Butterfinger x
The owner of Tunnocks Sir Boyd Tunnock was waiting for a flight to Wick before lock down and was chatting to our neighbor’s. He gave them a Tunnocks Caramel wafer with a special wrapper. he uses them as his business cards!
You informed me about the Sky garden in London, which as a Londoner I'd never heard of. I'm booking my ticket soon. Your views on our food makes me smile 😃.
First thing which came to my mind when asking about jingles for chocolate, Frank Muir doing "everyone's a fruit and nutcase" to the tune of Tchiakovsky's "Dance of the Merlitons" th-cam.com/video/ZQ4Cktg4fFY/w-d-xo.html
Traditional trifle is: sweet sherry soaked sponge pieces coated in jam, then a layer of a berry blancmange, then a layer of jelly (jello), then a layer of custard, spinkle toasted slivers of almond on top, and add a little piped whipped cream. The Italians call it zuppa inglese, and Spanish call it bagatella.
Defo go Marks and Spencers, probs one of our favourite supermarkets (grocery stores). Think you should try their chocolate teacakes, sour cream & jalapeño combo crisp mix, sweet chilli handcooked crisps, honey roasted cashews, toffee and pecan meringue roulade, apple crumble with warm madagascan custard, yum yums, percy pigs, veggie colin & connie caterpillars sweets, the hot section sausage rolls, maybe even try a few of their fresh cookies in the bakery section and mini colin the caterpillar cakes
If you like Caramac, try McVitie's Gold Bars if you can find them. Kinda biscuit bars covered in Caramac style covering but with a slightly different caramel taste. Same shape as a Club.
Hi from England. We love your videos. We're going to New England so your vlogs from there were very helpful. Where are you staying when you come to the UK?
I’m surprised you didn’t try the Cadburys range of chocolate bars etc. They aren’t as good as they used to be, but still pretty decent, especially Flake, that is the best chocolate ever!!
Now that you're over here there is a tunnocks tea cake in dark chocolate worth trying also I believe that our milky way is your 3 musketeers and our Mars bar is your milky way
Revels and milky bars are fantastic! Revel roulette is a national sport. 🤣 you seem to have eaten everything we have to offer. Maybe 10 pints of beer and a doner kebab? If you can handle that, you become a British citizen.
Cadburys fingers “ but today is Harry the Spiders coming out party” - classic. Or try Terrys chocolate orange, Fry’s Turkish Delight or Fry’s Chocolate cream- all fabulous.
Newbie here guys.....luuurv watching you trying new stuff. Know you're in the UK at the moment. Hope you're having a blast. Have you tried Orange or mint matchmakers? Scrumdidlyumcious for sure. Most things from M&S are scrummy too. Enjoy the UK....you guys are awesome!!!!!
I would recommend you try the rib n’ saucy nick naks (lol I suggest them every time). Yorkie raisin and biscuit chocolate bar, Biscoff spread or biscuits, anything from Marks and Spencer, and some proper English food from a local pub! 😂
A three US musketeers is a UK Milky Way and a US Milkyway is a UK Mars bar. It’s just different branding for different markets but the same product. The milkyway magic stars are marketed for kids.
Milky bar I feel is the first kind of sweet you would introduce young children to over here in the UK as well as Milky Way, Magic Stars and Caramac. I used to buy Caramac on my way to dance class LOL. Revels is what I eat at the cinema, I love them - they are all different flavours inside. Toffifee however you spell that is a traditional Christmas gift in my family . KitKat jingle not the same LOL the one I always remember is "Have a break, have a Kit-Kat" th-cam.com/video/kg0yVkiCZs8/w-d-xo.html - we have lots of different KitKats, my favourite is the peanut butter one and the original.
Magic stars are my absolute favourite chocolate. Every Sunday I would go to the corner shop to get my grandad's newspaper and he'd give me an extra 20p to get a one of the little packet of magic stars. And I love the old milky way ad, the red car and the blue car had a race! th-cam.com/video/Y4drNFXd6dw/w-d-xo.html

Revels are all different, that’s why they have different sizes in the packet. There’s a raisiny one, a coffee flavour, an orange flavour and a malteaser type thing all in the same packet. There might be others that I’m forgetting. It’s an urban legend that if you get the coffee you are unlucky because nobody likes coffee flavour, but I do! It’s not my favourite chocolate coating though. I love milky ways, magic stars and caramac, although I don’t eat the very often.
You could check out YT vids 'Vintage UK Sweets & Snack Adverts' and/or 'british chocolate adverts'. Some of the ads are very strange and quite a few of the products have long since gone
With the revels it's random which flavour you will get from each. One will be Coffee, one will be malteser, one will be raisin, one will be orange, one will be chocolate, and one will be toffee.
The best jingles were the ginger of fudge one - a finger of fudge is just enough to give your kids a treat, a finger of fudge is just enough until it’s time to eat, they’re full of Cadbury’s goodness but very small and neat, a finger of fudge is just enough until it’s time to eat! - and the Club biscuits song - if you want a lot of chocolate on your biscuit join our club!
What!! Noooo... That's not a proper trifle! A decent trifle has layers of lady's fingers (soaked in sherry or coffee liqueur), fruits and berries, jelly (or jello as you guys call it), custard and whipped cream. Now that's a trifle!
Hi guys from the UK 🇬🇧 love watching your content and eating uk chocolates and snacks hope you can make it over here one day and do some vlogging while here. You're such a great couple to watch take care guys xx
US milky way is not the same type of bar to UK milky way, so you can't compare them, if you really want a good chocolate bar try the Cadbury double decker.
Another great video, if in the United Kingdom 🇬🇧 then I would highly recommend a visit to Waitrose Supermarket and cafe’. It’s where all the posh people shop and their food is excellent quality!
Chocolates are not usually advertised on UK tv because of its unhealthy content particularly regards to children. I have spent some time in the US and they tend to devour anything with a ton of sugar in. It is their norm, hence their pumped up look. Is slim illegal?
I don't know if anyone else has posted this, but re the Milky Bar, the jingle was the Milky Bar Kid to try make white chocolate more appealing: th-cam.com/video/siHsGTyw1Pk/w-d-xo.html
The milky bar, although not your favourite had a good jingle on the TV ads growing up, The milky bar kid, is strong and tough, only the bar is good enough, it's the milky bar kid 😄something like that, then there's the finger of fudge. Is just enough to give your kids a treat, it's full of Cadbury goodness and very small and neat, ...
My favourite was an sweats as a teenager but the ad got banned 😂 cuz everyone kept saying it around my school and around other schools and the teachers got annoyed at us for saying it 😅
I don't like the tunnocks bars but I like the teacakes. I do love the milky bar white chocolate its the only white chocolate I eat. I love Caramac too xx I love how you tasting the milky way xx
You don't get Toffee Crisps in the States because they are banned! Herashey took Nestle to court over the package colourıng because it ıs similar to the Peanut Cups, but Nestle refused to change it and they were therefore banned.
Comparing American and British chocolate is like comparing muck with nettles. I'm an American living in the UK but who previously lived in Switzerland and Belgium. If you want really good chocolate, buy Belgian or Swiss. American and British chocolates are much too sugary.
My mum and granny told me caramel logs were first made out of reject caramel wafers they were all different random chunks of chocolate, wafer and huge lumps of caramel apparently they were way better than the deliberately made versions they sell now.
The only Jello I know is the singer out of The Dead Kennedys. American punk band,it's jelly over here. When I went to U.S.I didn't have a clue what cilantro or eggplant was,and don't get me started on zuccine!😀🏴❤️
I wasn't even born when they started using this Milky Bar jingle, but they must have used it for over 20 years and it's defintely the most memorable for me. th-cam.com/video/JFhhhDUIe8M/w-d-xo.html
We don't have a jingle for KitKat we have a slogan "take a break have a kitkat" 😆 I love the 80s milkyway advert with the red and blue car. You can also check out the milky bar advert. The milky bar kid.(so cute).I guess they still.use him on there bars
Oh I bet you ate the coffee revel first, bad luck 😂 they don’t all taste that bad, my favs the minstrels (the plain choc disc) or even better if u have a few of each all at once 😊
Revels contain different flavours. Orange, coffee, raisins, chocolate etc in the packet. Thats why they are different sizes
Oh, that makes sense!
Crsipy ones too
Play Revels Roulette, it’s like Russian Roulette but the loser is the one that gets a bad flavour (many people would say the coffee one) 😳
Also it’s not raisin flavour it’s is an actual raisin :)
@@TheMagicGeekdom revels are toffee, raisin, orange, Malteser, chocolate

@@catherineturner2839 I don't!🤣
They are Maltesers, no honeycomb ones. Used to be chocolate covered peanuts in there but they disappeared presumably because of allergies.
Maltesers are malt balls.
The plain KitKat Chunky is by far the best. Don’t know why they have to keep messing with different flavours!!
The packaging on toffee crisp being similar to Reece’s is why you don’t have them! Instead of changing the US packaging Nestle decided to just not sell toffee crisp in the US. It’s one of my favourite chocolate bars, so simple but delicious!

It's french 😅

We bought them for saturday morning cinema...eating them blind in the dark as a 6 year old praying for the orangey one😁👍
@@nikkihayes5411 there's an advert where they are playing revel roulette, check out you tube, might be on.
I'm in a minority group, try to avoid the Orange one! Pray for coffee.
Oh good to know. Thanks for the info!
I really like it when you American guys get to sample the real free world
Lol we do too.
Love you two! Awesome! 🇬🇧🇺🇸🇬🇧🇺🇸
I preferred Milky Way when they were chocolate whipped Inside.
Our KitKat advert says have an KitKat have a break 😂
The only Jello I know is the singer out of The Dead Kennedys. American punk band,it's jelly over here. When I went to U.S.I didn't have a clue what cilantro or eggplant was,and don't get me started on zuccine!😀🏴❤️
You've introduced me to Caramel Logs! How ironic!
You need to try After Eights or Matchmakers
I wasn't even born when they started using this Milky Bar jingle, but they must have used it for over 20 years and it's defintely the most memorable for me. th-cam.com/video/JFhhhDUIe8M/w-d-xo.html
There are many different centres to Revels.
We don't have a jingle for KitKat we have a slogan "take a break have a kitkat" 😆
I love the 80s milkyway advert with the red and blue car. You can also check out the milky bar advert. The milky bar kid.(so cute).I guess they still.use him on there bars
We need to look up the milky bar advert.

Oh I bet you ate the coffee revel first, bad luck 😂 they don’t all taste that bad, my favs the minstrels (the plain choc disc) or even better if u have a few of each all at once 😊
I was so annoyed you only ate the big revels 😂
Edited to add, we don't have jingles for a lot of stuff. It's not really common here.
Good to know! We'll have to try and find the smaller revels.
KitKats are originally from the UK!
