Oh, Gary, you’re such a thoroughly decent human. It’s a privilege to watch these reviews for many reasons. Firstly, you’re kind and considerate, whether you’re in a pie and mash shop or a Michelin star restaurant. Secondly, even when reviews are critical, they are never cruel. Thirdly, you recognise how ‘lucky’ you are to be in your current role. Here you are, about to hit a quarter of a million subscribers, eating in so many fantastic restaurants, yet you recognise your ‘luck’. Well two points; firstly, much of this has nothing to do with luck; it’s to do with work, life experience and character. Secondly, in recognising your good fortune, you have a rare gift. So many of us only recognise our good fortune upon losing it. I’m absolutely not after sympathy, but I’ve had MS for many, many years. I only tend to appreciate what I had upon losing it. You haven’t made that mistake and your attitude is both refreshing and humbling. Thank you 😊👍😘
Gary, your videos are seriously fantastic they remind me of Top Gear, but the restaurant version. I also love the rawness of your videos, that is actually something I'm trying to achieve with my own vlogs, so keep it up!
19.10. Totally agree. Gary is my fave vlogger. I’d love to see him do a review with my other 2 faves. greeno who appears to be a mate of his and they’ve done shared vlogs but I’d like them to be joined by Harrison. I think that could be hilarious.

We want to see the food, not the face, some top down angles so we get a good look. I also think it's not a great idea to encourage these eating vlogs. WOW Gary! That looked bangin. Everything. I can’t believe I’m stuck for words. I just don’t know what to say. So I’ll stop talking 😂 Both you and Greeno were lucky today. Oh and the McMaster gave you a good shout out earlier too. He was in Danny’s place in Huddersfield. 👍
Thank you for sharing this amazing experience. And thank you, and the restaurant and its staff, for handling the filming so graciously and respectfully. It was costly, but it's not necessarily difficult to pay more for less than here. The restaurant clearly emphasizes value in every aspect of the guest's experience.
Great video! If you’re ever in Birmingham, I’d highly recommend Opheem. It uses Indian flavours but it’s not curry and the potato dish is especially good!
From the U.S., I really enjoy your reviews - no "caviar" this or that snob appeal, just everyday reviews. This is a top Indian restaurant, limited menu with sauces prepared for each dish, no pick the protein, then pick the sauce. But seems excessively pricey!
Gary and Camera Man son, you are an absolute tonic amongst the doom & gloom of local and world issues across TH-cam. This video is splendid as are all your previous one's ..
I remember going before they had the fire, early 2010s. It was my last treat to myself before I moved to the UAE for work, and I’ve never minded eating solo. Fantastic, then, too!
Found your channel just before Christmas and have started binge watching. Love this channel. Honest, no paid promos, great food. Adding to my dreams of visiting the UK (but am keen on the Welsh) 😂
When I clicked on there were no views , 22 minutes later 4174 views , that’s the popularity of our Gary , as for that meal 2 Michelin stars and food of that obvious quality equals £123 well spent in my opinion , obviously it’s not somewhere you’d go once a week or even every month but for that special occasion I think it would be a meal you’d always remember , great review as usual my friend 👍
Hi Gary you really are the David Attenborough of the food world, tbh i could watch you all day I love it. Fantastic video, thank you for just being a kind genuine guy. Hope ypu and the wee lad are keeping warm and safe 💚✌️

That was a truly wonderful experience Gary. The restaurant, ambiance and the food was on another level. Beautiful. The expense was superceded with what you received, outstanding. Fully deserved your top rating and I'm glad you were privileged to enjoy it. Thank you for sharing with us Gary, much appreciated 🫶🫶🫶
We have been to Goa several times and the most memorable meals were in the most inauspicious surroundings. Under a canvas on a beach, in a dried paddy field, in a blokes garage sat on plastic chairs!!! The locals certainly know where the best food is. 😊😊😊😊
Yes the food is superb but the people of Goa are awesome and so friendly. Very humbling experiences and so spiritual. A true mixture of emotions just like the food.
Very commendable of you, sir, but it does the channel no good as likes are based on watched videos and hitting the like button at the end. You wouldn’t say I like the new BMW motor vehicle, but I haven't seen it, would you?
Love the look on your face when you first popped that starter into your mouth, Gary. The way the tears sprang into your eyes was brill. Take care, both of you.
Fabulous video, thanks Gary. I love the diversity of the places you visit. They’re all interesting, and it’s particularly interesting to have a look inside places like this that I’ll never be able to visit. I agree with those who are calling you the best food reviewer on TH-cam, in every possible way ❤
My daughter and I woke up early to get a coveted reservation 3 months down the line. We traveled to London from the US. On the day of the reservation she got food poisoning and we had to cancel. They don’t answer their phone and they charge if you no-show. There were all kinds of protests going on and it was a nightmare to get there so I could cancel in person. They were very gracious and waved the cancelation fee. Broke my heart to miss out on that dining experience
I am absolutely devastated for you and your daughter. That's very kind of them to waiver it and I'm sorry you missed out. Tell you what, if you come back to London. I would love to join you.
You are the first person who properly interested me in Indian kitchen. I don't like overly spicy food, but since these are different flavours that mix together and still could be dissected, it makes me wanna try it, actually.
Love a Ruby and always wanted to go here. So glad you had such a good one after a string of naff ones last year! Watching this an hour after posting and you've had 18,636 views (it jumped over 1,000 whilst I was watching)! Couldn't be more pleased for you mate. You're quickly turning into a National Treasure.
Superb. I am freezing because my boiler has broke and I am going to be eating beans on toast tonight as my main meal. Gary enjoys an amazing curry warms my cockles. Also cameraman being his own son is lovely.
Those two sauces looked absolutely delicious. Lovely vibrant colours, just beautiful. As I sit here eating my quorn sausages, mash and brussels sprouts 😆
That looked so good! I’ve been to some Michelin star restaurants in the past and you’re spot on by describing it as an experience! Never been to the same place twice as the memory of the first visit stays with you. Another excellent review. ❤
Hi Gary! Who are these people saying that there is a cost of living crisis, when a two star Michelin restaurant has a three month wait! 😳😅. The whole meal looked divine! I expected the flavours throughout would be amazing. This was a great review & I also think really helpful for anyone considering visiting this restaurant, but wary of the price & if it's worth it. Glad you enjoyed it a great deal & I could say for myself that I'd love every minute of it. A real treat. Take care & see you on the next one. 💐💙
Hi Erin! You're spot on as always. What cost of living!? Yes this is a tremendous restaurant with tremendous food. Couldn't fault it whatsoever. Brilliant. See you on the next one
Bloomin eck Gary my friend. 221k subscribers! Well done. You truly deserve it. So natural and original in the way you describe the food you eat. Fantastic! 👍
It was definitely worth the wait Garry. You and cameraman son certainly delivered once again. Great review as always. One genuine humble guy i never get tired of watching. Cant wait for the next one😊
Woooow! The Perfect Ten! Brilliant. Watching your expressions as you sampled each dish was a picture. It’s made a big impression on you so when I’m UK-side next time, I’ll give it a go. I love a good curry!
I’m so glad to see you got to experience real food at its best, it might not be cheap but you get exactly what you pay for. There’s no other way to describe it but spectacular, the interior was amazing and the attention to detail is incredible too. Yes you might only visit a few times but the memories of such amazing food are worth the wait. I would have said it was a bit underpriced for a Michelin restaurant but there’s definitely something special about it. I take my hat off to you Gary for trying to address different prices on the channel, clearly it was bang on across the board, I’m not sure how you follow this experience but I’m glad you got to share it. Many thanks.
Seeing as you're splashing out. Try a tasting menu. I can highly recommend L'Enclume in Cartmel, Cumbria. Also a town famous for it's sticky toffee pudding. Also, if you 're up north in my neck of the woods, check out The Inn at Whitewell near Clitheroe. Both locations have a common theme because Steve Coogan & Rob Brydon dined at both for their TV series, The Trip.
What a fabulous experience Gary! I think I’d have enjoyed everything you’d chosen! As the saying goes, ‘You get what you paid for’ Love that you chop and change the levels of restaurants ❤
Can you imagine any other food review channel doing this absolutely not. The true trooper Gary What an amazing place. You love comfort unlike others. Nobody reviews restaurants like you. Amazing reviews great guy Best wishes from myself and Mom she loves your videos
Chef's tip. If you just bless the back of the spoon back into the liquid when taking a helping from a liquid dish, it wont drip on the way back to your plate or mouth. Cheers for all your brilliant reviews.
Just finished watching Greeno review the Hawksmoor January Lunchtime special, and noticed that you had uploaded your latest. When I saw the caption I thought, someone is in for a treat. Will Gary get to tease the cameraman after his latest fiasco with the eels. Shucks, no such luck. If it tasted as good as you made out, then getting the lunchtime deal would be well worth it. Only problem is travelling there, well for me anyway. Gary thanks for letting us experience this 2 Star Indian with you, even if we never get to try it for ourselves.

mom's cooking with hybrid additions 2 make it expensive...price enough 2 buy airline tickets n go mom 2 mom's cooking.
That is one quality meal As Topal sang "If I was a rich man" i'd be there on a regular basis
Indeed Dave, well said
Wow !!! Gary….Every dish looked bloody scrumptious, I give it ago for sure. Top quality 👌👌 Great review chap……
Thank you very much chap, how have you been?
That looks stunning! I'll have to get on the waiting list but as a curry fan that looked epic. Thanks Gary!
Give it a go Matt, you won't regret it
i love how excited and business like you get at the same time when your impressed with the food looked amazing
Who would of thought it Gary 221k subs. We always knew you'd smash it 🎉🎉🎉🎉
I am in disbelief my friend
Looked amazing the starter was something else never seen anything like it as ever Gary brilliant review 😊
Thanks Michael 👍
WOW Gary! That looked bangin. Everything. I can’t believe I’m stuck for words. I just don’t know what to say. So I’ll stop talking 😂
Both you and Greeno were lucky today. Oh and the McMaster gave you a good shout out earlier too. He was in Danny’s place in Huddersfield. 👍
I was very lucky on this occasion, Philip and in fact, so was my good friend, talking of which Lee is a smashing guy and I am commenting on his video
This place looks incredible, great video as always!
Thank you very much it was mega
Great video! If you’re ever in Birmingham, I’d highly recommend Opheem. It uses Indian flavours but it’s not curry and the potato dish is especially good!
Opheem is ok but I don’t consider it traditional Indian food
What he’s had there is
From the U.S., I really enjoy your reviews - no "caviar" this or that snob appeal, just everyday reviews. This is a top Indian restaurant, limited menu with sauces prepared for each dish, no pick the protein, then pick the sauce. But seems excessively pricey!
That is a very kind comment to make thank you very much
The gilet is iconic by this point in the gary eats look lol
Hahaha Sam, I need to get a few more
@GaryEats as my grandad says it's a "gillette"
Gary I think the thing I enjoy most about your reviews is the fact you look at home in a two star or in a chippy. Another banger of a video, thank you
Gary and Camera Man son, you are an absolute tonic amongst the doom & gloom of local and world issues across TH-cam. This video is splendid as are all your previous one's ..
Ah you are so kind Rob, we really do try and bring you the best content possible
Twenty two minutes of top quality action is being served up!
LET'S GIVE IT A GO!
Ah Alex, you are too kind thank you
@@GaryEats You're most welcome. It's my pleasure.
I remember going before they had the fire, early 2010s. It was my last treat to myself before I moved to the UAE for work, and I’ve never minded eating solo.
Fantastic, then, too!
I didn’t know they had a fire, I’m pleased they are keeping the standards up
Go to a three star in Paris where 125 quid will buy you one main dish. 125 for the entire meal at a two star is a bargain.
Blimey
Plonker 😂
@@mikeymike1854why the name calling?! Why a "plonker"?
Plonker is so gauche. I prefer Mr. Pooty Tooty Cat.
£125 for any kind of meal is NEVER a 'bargain' lol Jesus
Found your channel just before Christmas and have started binge watching. Love this channel. Honest, no paid promos, great food. Adding to my dreams of visiting the UK (but am keen on the Welsh) 😂
Well done Gary the more reviews you do l see a man that's is enjoying life, despite the ups and downs we all face in life.
Thank you very much my friend, life has definitely gotten better since the start of the channel
Thank you very much Deano, you've always been very kind to me and I do appreciate it more than you can imagine
@@GaryEatsnothing more than you deserve my friend .
I would have been going Lamb Shank RG myself. It appears the food danced on your taste buds to a degree. That's why I love Indian foods myself.
I wanted to order it so much Ian lol
Hi Gary you really are the David Attenborough of the food world, tbh i could watch you all day I love it. Fantastic video, thank you for just being a kind genuine guy. Hope ypu and the wee lad are keeping warm and safe 💚✌️
What a wonderfully kind comment and humbled to be compared to the great man but he is a legend and much better than me. Thank you very much and have a lovely week Lisa
Oh my goodness @GaryEats that looked amazing! I swear I could almost taste that food. Thanks for another great vlog, boy's xx❤❤
We have been to Goa several times and the most memorable meals were in the most inauspicious surroundings. Under a canvas on a beach, in a dried paddy field, in a blokes garage sat on plastic chairs!!! The locals certainly know where the best food is. 😊😊😊😊
Thanks for sharing Kath, I can imagine the food is incredible
Yes the food is superb but the people of Goa are awesome and so friendly. Very humbling experiences and so spiritual. A true mixture of emotions just like the food.
@@GaryEats worth remembering that Goa was a Portuguese 'colony' and not British.
Hey Kath nice work love you did it proper unlike most
the best food I have ever had was in a stable in a small town in India.
It was chicken !
Even before 30 secs I hit the LIKE button, because I love them all
Thank you very much
Very commendable of you, sir, but it does the channel no good as likes are based on watched videos and hitting the like button at the end. You wouldn’t say I like the new BMW motor vehicle, but I haven't seen it, would you?
@ Ah but I’ve often watched a video and enjoyed but but forgot to leave a like, we this rights the equilibrium 😇 .. Thanks for the lesson though 🙏
Love the look on your face when you first popped that starter into your mouth, Gary. The way the tears sprang into your eyes was brill. Take care, both of you.
Take care Les, thank you mate. Do you have curry a lot?
Always top quality reviews. Thanks Gary. I’m drooling just watching!
Wow…10/10…fair play! Great that you enjoyed it so much too. Keep up the good work, mate. Nicest bloke on the internet! ❤
Thank you kindly my friend, really appreciate it
Hope you enjoyed! Worth the money!
I did! Did you like the video?
Northern Indian food is the bomb! Amongst the world’s best. 👍🏻🇦🇺👍🏻
Well said Peter
Great video Gary. Quality all the way. Your presentation, brilliant food and honest commentary. My number 1 TH-cam channel.
Cheers !
Thank you very much Chris, it means a lot my friend
I am really glad you have a lovely time her. You have convinced me to make a booking for my 60th in 2 years! Love your honest reviews
Fabulous video, thanks Gary. I love the diversity of the places you visit. They’re all interesting, and it’s particularly interesting to have a look inside places like this that I’ll never be able to visit. I agree with those who are calling you the best food reviewer on TH-cam, in every possible way ❤
when I see expensive dinning I feel like the food can only get so good and its more about the night and venue experience
Of course I agree Ethan
@ have you ever thought of going to a local garden centre restaurant to see what they offer ?
@@GaryEatsGary! I will take you up on that! Keep up the great work! You are a pleasure!
I'd have gone anyway and picked up a doggy bag for my daughter 😁😁
@ I didn’t want to leave her alone while she was sick AND they didn’t do take away
I am with you Gary, it’s an experience not a meal, probably once in a lifetime but an experience none the less !! 👏👏
It is a once in a lifetime treat Phil and one you’ll never forget
You are the first person who properly interested me in Indian kitchen. I don't like overly spicy food, but since these are different flavours that mix together and still could be dissected, it makes me wanna try it, actually.
Thank you very much. That’s a lovely comment.
I was very lucky, Steve, as this is a very special restaurant and one for a special occasion that is a lovely comment to me
Superb. I am freezing because my boiler has broke and I am going to be eating beans on toast tonight as my main meal. Gary enjoys an amazing curry warms my cockles. Also cameraman being his own son is lovely.
Thank you my friend. I really am very sorry to hear about your boiler
Those two sauces looked absolutely delicious.
Lovely vibrant colours, just beautiful.
As I sit here eating my quorn sausages, mash and brussels sprouts 😆
I have to say this was absolutely fantastic, Rosie x
Hi everyone
Ah Bessie-ya beat me babes lol 😂 💜
Hi Bessie!
Hi all 😎
@@CutestofBorgtry to beat those that say “first” lol as it winds me up - better luck next time 😂
@ lol 💜 I was first once but I’m getting old -well my iPad is-not me lol x
That looked so good! I’ve been to some Michelin star restaurants in the past and you’re spot on by describing it as an experience! Never been to the same place twice as the memory of the first visit stays with you. Another excellent review. ❤
I totally agree with you Chris. Thank you ❤️
Wow! A 10/10! Brilliant video, Gary! You deserve to have such a lovely experience. All the best, chap.
Pricey but nicey
😂
You are right
Bloomin eck Gary my friend. 221k subscribers! Well done. You truly deserve it. So natural and original in the way you describe the food you eat. Fantastic! 👍
As usual great filming and editing, genuine and excellent review.
Thanks god you are hopefully claiming this as business expenses.
It was definitely worth the wait Garry. You and cameraman son certainly delivered once again. Great review as always. One
genuine humble guy i never get tired of watching. Cant wait for the next one😊
Woooow! The Perfect Ten! Brilliant. Watching your expressions as you sampled each dish was a picture. It’s made a big impression on you so when I’m UK-side next time, I’ll give it a go. I love a good curry!
wow the decor was amazing the food looked amazing wow 2 stars definitely those curries looked delicious loved the themed starter
The food looked incredible and I love how you show consideration towards other diners. Thank you Gary and cameraman for another top notch review.
Thanks so much Debra, very kind as always
Thank you Mark. We really do try and mix the price points up and be fair with them across the board
It is on the list for the future Andy so thank you for the recommendation
What a fabulous experience Gary! I think I’d have enjoyed everything you’d chosen! As the saying goes, ‘You get what you paid for’ Love that you chop and change the levels of restaurants ❤
Can you imagine any other food review channel doing this absolutely not.
The true trooper Gary
What an amazing place.
You love comfort unlike others.
Nobody reviews restaurants like you.
Amazing reviews great guy
Best wishes from myself and Mom she loves your videos
Chef's tip. If you just bless the back of the spoon back into the liquid when taking a helping from a liquid dish, it wont drip on the way back to your plate or mouth. Cheers for all your brilliant reviews.
Thanks for letting me know and thank you
Wonderful video 😃 you and your son, the cameraman, really do an excellent job!
That’s so kind to say, thank you
Just finished watching Greeno review the Hawksmoor January Lunchtime special, and noticed that you had uploaded your latest.
That's good value, yes he'll be paying for this one after the last video's behaviour lol
@@GaryEats I notice that you are using some of @Just Deano phrases re: being a wuss when it comes to spice tolerance.
