I've got some cards that I would like to sell. Ironically, a couple that I have were mentioned in this video. I have a Kobe Bryant rookie, Lucky 13. I have the complete lucky 13 set still in a package. I also have the Larry Bird, Dr J, and Magic rookie. I'm not sure if it's worth much because the cards have been separated, but are crisp besides being separated. I have many more cards from these eras and much older. If you are interested, please contact me. Thanks.

You know you made it pretty big when you're getting videos sponsored by Ebay!!! Dude you're channel and brand is blowing up, ai know this was a year ago! You just have that really friendly voice and the way you talk to people with professionalism, and with great knowledge really makes people want to give you deals, heck I've seen in your videos where guys are giving you nice cards to have because you're a Gator fan! Especially the way you deal with the kiddos! My youngest son is 8 and I want to get him into collecting cards. I'm just getting back into it, all my older Jordans and cards I had bought when I was younger even a Stan Musual I have it just doesn't have the great shape as what I see other cards worth. A couple of my Michael Jordan cards and Shaq rookie cards I would figure would be worth a LOT of money but they aren't worth hardly anything because they are not in mint condition none of my cards are graded and if I were to get them graded they are very picky on the grades they wpuld be like a PSA 6 and its just not worth it. Best thing I can do is just pass them down to my son and he can pass them to his kids. But I have bought a box of the new 2021-2022 Basketball Prizms and I got a few nice cards just not the players, like my auto was a Josh Howard and his signature is HORRIBLE! The guy doesn't play in the NBA anymore least he can do is make his signature better then a g00fy cursive JH lol Anyway I did get a Scottie Barnes & Cade Cunningham Emergent Prizm Silver which are beautiful cards, a 75 year blue diamond Paul Millsaps LOL and a 75 year Optic they inserted and it's of the legend Jerry West, also a USA of Charles Barkley that's horizontal and dominant Lebron James. I just regret taking all this time off of card collecting buying a box or 2 during Lebron rookie years things like that make me feel like I have really missed out. I am invested in the stock market and with about all my life savings and some, my house is too big so its going to be sold here soon so I plan on getting some big stuff, like some of those brief cases

I know it's ONLY been 2 years since ya made this comment, But I agree 100% I can't believe that 2009 Hobby Basketball boxes because of Curry an a couple others, and 2009 Baseball are this expensive just because of Mike Trout!! Absolutely Mind Bending stuff!! I truly wish I accidentally stored some of those Trouts I pulled or a few of the Hobby Boxes until now 🤣💪

One thing I do is keep an eye out for graded cards - not listed as graded.
It doesn't happen often but I've picked up a few nice cards - based on searching Ebay by newly listed and have come across some exceptional deals with cards like the below - 2010 Bowman Mike Trout #PP5 Baseball Card - which was actually a PSA 9

Many years ago I pulled a Tom Brady gold parallel rookie straight from a $10 pack. Shoved it into my binder full of cards and forgot about it for years. Found it again just 2 years ago and my heart sunk at the condition it is in. Still a nice card, but wouldn't grade more than an 8 today and might get me $100-$200. Who knows if I had sleeved it up and taken care of it properly right when I pulled it.

Excellent video, I have really enjoyed the App as we have transitioned from collecting to investing, especially with the retail environment pretty much non-existent. Not sure you can really be a casual collector anymore, even my 11 yr old is learning to trade up into better graded cards. The challenge has now become finding that great deal on singles / boxes, not hoping to run into vendors.

Vince Carter is a perfect example of taking a chance on investing in a player but kind of didn't linveup to the hype. I opened a 1999 upper deck autograph card of his and I saw it go from $175 one month in Beckett price guide to $300 the next month and I held it since then and still have it. Lol! I am crossing my fingers tho for his HOF announcement. Lol!

It's strange to me how much higher 10s sell compared to 9s, it feels like the rating companies have dominated the consumers in this industry. It's better for them if there's such a high premium on the rating, it gives them more power and control of the market. It feels way out of wack. Obviously it's a scarcity thing, but 10x or more in many cases because someone at the rating company on a judgment call thinks the surface looks or color looks better for instance is a bit crazy. However they've managed to push the market this way bravo to those large corporations for figuring that out I guess. But I don't think it's the best for consumers. I'm curious to what people think of that.
I'm just looking into the card market again after being out since I was a kid. My normal full-time job is as an investor in another industry. This video delivers great value and this guy seems like the smartest person I've seen on TH-cam talking about this stuff. Thank you!

1st step if there are no offers or you really want the card is to ask the seller can you do an offline deal and offer them a very fair price. In my experience at least 50% will do the offline deal. you won't be able to get the big consignment companies to bite but the average joe seller would love to cut the fees they pay to ebay

Instead of glossing over best offer accepted prices on Lebron saying you don't know what they sold for, and being in the tech game, I would have thought you would have showed people how to click the original listing, right click, inspect, control f for find and search tax excluded price to see what the best offer accepted was. There you go folks, you tube it for more in depth instruction but you can 100% see what the best offer accepted was. A lot of those $15-20K listings sold for $8k or something like that but people don't do this to check and it balloons perception of value of cards like shill bidding. Geoff you do provide some great content though, so thank you!

How do folks feel about buying sealed packs, is this something you do? Not knowing anything about the box they came from often makes me skeptical. For example, let's say you're looking for a Jordan auto and buy a sealed pack hoping to pull it - what if that pack came from a box where someone already pulled that card? Or what if the box guarantees 1 auto per box and it's already been pulled? 🤔

Not sure why eBay doesnt allow people to see what an item was bought if it was a "Best Offer Accepted" transaction. I think they should start allowing people to see what it was sold for so we can know what the average for an item is selling for.

Just want your opinion... been buying up 2013 bowman chrome aaron judge... for reasons I understand his cards are still way under value versus his raw talent. What do you think? How do you perceive his future value?

If you are on an Android phone searching on ebay, switch to the desktop site and the photos are in high definition quality. Easier to see the condition that way than the photos in the mobile version site which are compressed and blurry. The 3 dots menu icon at the top corner of your phone screen.

Loved the video just getting back into collecting after almost 20 years and everything is so different!! Who are some good players to start looking for their cards/ slabs as brand new investor/collector?

Just remember when it comes to any investment you have be ok with the risk. How much your budget is allows to increase the amount of risk you will accept. Many of us collectors will never sniff a single card in his collection. For us common man we have to stay in our lane.

So, the logical questions are: is that app tracking one's data? And are sellers paying for high listings on the app, or otherwise being favored... or is it just the same eBay ranking algorithm.

Does that devalue the cards since everyone look at eBay comps?

Geoff 1988 Kenner Michael Jordan is on the rise. I made some mistakes with Jordan and his 85 promo card had a psa 7 and Bgs 9 sold too soon on both of them. I lost thousands. But I learned. Better not sell so fast. ;) thanks for the video.
