My grandfather pulled one of those Reggie Jackson autos from Upper Deck back when I was 5 or 6. He had Mantle, Aaron, etc cards that burned up in a house fire about 25 years ago but the Reggie survived. It's now the crown jewel of my humble collection, along with the newspaper clipping from the local paper that interviewed him about it. Things were different back then. RIP Grandpa
The Bo Breaker was another cool Bo Jackson card from the 90s. Love this collection!! That McDavid card is one of the best looking sports cards of all time. Pele & Cracked Ice Luka as well. Great taste & feel for the signatures and aesthetic. The baby blue Griffey!!! Come ON!!!! WOW. So cool.
I really like this dude and how he has so much knowledge of the cards he collects. This man is definitely a collector and reminds me of the good in the hobby. Great video great collection much appreciated.
That 2015 McDavid RPA is an incredibly card, but I would argue that the 2005 SP Authentic Future Watch Auto or the 2005 The Cup RPA for Sidney Crosby & Alex Ovechkin are more iconic! Two absolute legends who will go down as all-time greats, both with their instantly recognizable top-tier rookie cards from the same year!
Man, PSA used to be much more forgiving... they were super kind to that 48 Jackie with the 20+ year old serial number. That card would maybe get a 4 or 5 today
Dannngggg!! This is so cool! I wish I could sit in that room and look through that collection myself. So cool! I love seeing people like this guy invest so much of their wealth into the hobby.
The icing on this incredible collection would have been if that Bonds rookie was the o-pee-chee copy or both . I'm still kinda steamed that they didn't put the Bo Jackson future stars in the opc set
Amazing pc. The Frank Thomas nnof believe actually came from the northeast. There are several other cards that have now been identified as having the same error. There was some obstruction that ran diagonally across the sheet. Very cool
The nonmention of Josh Allen hurt a bit as a Bills fan when talking about buying modern QBs vs a psa 1 or 2 of montana, etc.... Haha great video and love the knowledge shared!
Unpopular opinion. Secondary signed cards should grade authentic only. There is no Tom Brady autograph on 2000 bowman checklist. Just because he is on the card, does not make it part of the set. It should still be looked at as altered.
I watched the entire video and enjoyed the videos and stories. I’m of a similar age as both of you so I could totally relate. Only nitpick is Was there a bet to see how many times “iconic” could be uttered in a 1 hour video? 😂
Love his collection, BUT.....he said he didn't want to take a risk on cracking Walter PSA 10 to a BGS and not only 3 cards later. He said he did it on MJ rookie 😂 SMH
Unrelated side note but Wish you could do a pack opening with Brett Favre to find his 92 high series stadium club though i as well as any other real true fan knows his draft year is 91 but 92 can bring much more
when it comes to hockey and o pee chee or topps it all depends on where the players were born that effcts the value,so gretzky who was born in canada youll want the opc,now say patrick kane who is born in the usa youll want the topps because its made in the states
I prefer THIS content over listening to “hobby crooks/drama” or the newest “rookie” of the month any day. I want to highlight the people who actually made the right decisions and disciplines to stack a WINNING portfolio and what they did to do it. I learned the most about the hobby and which cards to actually buy from learning from these type of collectors. THIS…. Is what investing looks like kids. I’ve said this 20 times on this channel and I’ll write it out again kids. THE BEST CARDS ALREADY EXIST! They’re not waiting in that next pack.

RIP Grandpa and what a legendary pull! And yes, finding one of those was a huge deal and warranted fanfare. Thanks for sharing

Interestingly, i have a "back up" box of cards that I love and ALMOST made the main box of cards.... the bo breaker is in there! Love that card
Man his story and his collection is truly unbelievable. Definitely some motivation! Thanks Geoff!
I have been VERY lucky to have some of these cards and very lucky to be a part of the sports card community. Thanks for taking the time to tune in
This type of collection video is where Taint Wilson does his best work. Amazing collection and great stories.
This is awesome. I've been collecting since I was 1988. Nothing is my collection is as good as what he has, but I love seeing stuff like this.
Thanks for the compliment. The key to any collection is loving what you have and appreciating cards of all value. Happy 2025!
I really like this dude and how he has so much knowledge of the cards he collects. This man is definitely a collector and reminds me of the good in the hobby. Great video great collection much appreciated.
Very humbling to have you say that. Thank you.... I think i love the STORIES of cards as much as I love cards themselves

Very fortunate to own The Cup Crosby RP and a young guns Ovechkin. Just didn't make the video. Awesome cards all around. Hockey is underrated
Man, PSA used to be much more forgiving... they were super kind to that 48 Jackie with the 20+ year old serial number. That card would maybe get a 4 or 5 today
Pls do a part 2 geoff! Amazing interview 🙌🏻
Awesome collection as I always see something new when Pat explains what he has and why! Thanks for doing this with him and sharing! 🎉
Papa Jim!
That Messi is the best long term hold of all items...
Agree. Arguably the greatest player of all time. From a non US sports fan - it’s the only one I’d actually want to own.
i just bought a Mantle PSA 6 such a sweet card
Love his interesting stories about each item and do a part two on those cut autographs that had the Helen Keller 🎉
The helen keller is a literal show stopper. Always gets a good reaction and dialogue from friends who visit. Appreciate your kind words
Wow! This guy's collection is amazing!
What a beautiful collection.
Dannngggg!! This is so cool! I wish I could sit in that room and look through that collection myself. So cool! I love seeing people like this guy invest so much of their wealth into the hobby.
man, what an education you gave Goof! great collection, Pat!
Who is Goof??
Bra,, not sure how this one got me like that,, but i couldn't stop laughing for like 10 minutes.. 😂👍
@ 🤣 iykyk. Goof needs more sports card lessons like this.
@@u_s_a_cards yes, the guy selling scammy repacks is certainly the pinnacle of knowledge in the hobby!
Thanks for providing technical and easy to follow videos.
Rich guys are my favorite collectors 💪. Great show, enjoyed the story and seeing freshly printed cards from history 😂.
I have the 1986 Topps Steve Young in PSA 10. It's my all-time favorite card.
This was an awesome video. Thanks Geoff and Patrick for the very entertaining deep dive!
Truly owing a golden rare ticket from Jackie 1st game 🎫

The icing on this incredible collection would have been if that Bonds rookie was the o-pee-chee copy or both .
I'm still kinda steamed that they didn't put the Bo Jackson future stars in the opc set

This was so great! Keep stuff like this coming!
Amazing Patrick

That Dwayne Johnson card was amazing
I absolutely love the collection, but how is that Jackie Robinson a PSA 8? Am I looking at the card wrong
Junk wax in the background--a man after my own heart...

My brother has a jerry rice 86 rookie autograph, psa 6

I watched the entire video and enjoyed the videos and stories. I’m of a similar age as both of you so I could totally relate. Only nitpick is Was there a bet to see how many times “iconic” could be uttered in a 1 hour video? 😂
Great stuff!
I’m jealous, I like Turtles 🐢
I didn’t realize Tim Dillon collected cards
Nice
Excellent show, thank you. Kept my interest all the way through.
Every collector dream
The 1991 topps archive mickey mantle card. I own that card
Love his collection, BUT.....he said he didn't want to take a risk on cracking Walter PSA 10 to a BGS and not only 3 cards later. He said he did it on MJ rookie 😂 SMH
For all the guys that say cards aren’t investments. I’d say 30k into 400k is one hell of an investment
Unbelievable collection.
Well spoken
❤👍🏻
NICE
The Walter patten card looks oc left/right
Unrelated side note but Wish you could do a pack opening with Brett Favre to find his 92 high series stadium club though i as well as any other real true fan knows his draft year is 91 but 92 can bring much more

Geoff, I have to admit feeling a little disappointed after watching your Kmart rip video, but you’ve made up for it in spades! 🤣
I have 12 different corrections of 89 Fleer Billy Ripken. There's roughly 18 corrected version I sold 4 others almost had 18. I have 6 FF
I’m him ❤😂😢🎉😮😅😊
PSA would never give a 86 fleer Jordan a 10 these days now that it’s worth 200k+ luckily this guy did it before the covid boom
It took me 4 years to get my Bird Magic and Erving autographed with the same sharpie the sharpie died as the signature finished.
Whoa!
If I had a fucking dollar for every time someone in this hobby used the word iconic
