    New Brake Pad & Rotor Kit from 1AAuto.com 1aau.to/ia/1ABF...
    Brake pads wear out over time, much like tires, and need replacing, on average, every 50,000 miles, with variations depending on driving habits and environment. Brake rotors may also need to be replaced if they are warped or grooved. Often, it’s safer and more cost effective to replace pads and rotors at the same time. Squealing or grinding noises, or wheel vibration are all symptoms of worn brakes. This video shows you how to install new, quality TRQ brake pads and rotors on your 2003-2013 Toyota Matrix.

    Looks easy. Doing this tomorrow morning before heat hits. Tested the bolts last night. They moved. Big plus.

    Did you have to bang on on the rotors ? They came off so easy.

    Can’t remember if it was said in the video, but make sure you take the brake fluid cap off before compressing the piston.

    The rotors warped in 1 years time with this brake kit. The oem rotors have extra protection against heat and these do not have that and warp way easier

    What if you don't have that caliper compressor tool you used? Could you just force the caliper back into place with something else? I'm doing this at home in my driveway with minimal tools.

    So what would I do if I don't have your fancy caliper compressor tool?

  • @shanew.williams
    @shanew.williams ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Calipers that old & rusty don't just easily compress with a screwdriver. Use a C-clamp to carefully compress the caliper after you've unbolted it from the car.. Much less risk of lodging the caliper piston in the bore by prying on one spot due to limited access.

      +upwardcrayon5 This procedure might be different for your application. We do not currently have a how-to video for this particular year, make and model. Thank you for asking! 1aau.to/m/Shop-TRQ
