I tried this and it actually works 🎉 I have to keep doing it every couple of days so maybe at some point I will change the actuator. But thanks for sharing I was amazed when it actually worked. 👏🏾👏🏾
I have exactly this issue for a week now! You made this video just in time. My lock stucks almost every day, but it works after I unlock it manually. I planned to change the lock, but I decided to check youtube first.
. good video, thanks for sharing. The locks are controlled by the BCM. For safety reasons, it is disconnected after more than 10 close/open operations. Also in case of accident the doors open. In case of theft the alarm is activated. In case of locking due to heat, material deformation, strong friction, the lock does not work, deactivated for safety by the BCM. WD-40 works miracles. In the case of cold ice the same thing happens.
The motor inside the lock has 2 contact pins that get dirty and some of the grease from all the gears will go onto the pins to. The lock needs to be taken apart to clean the pins, the motor does not spin or move when the locking pin is moved manually, so this is not a permanent or lasting fix. There are other guides out there showing how it is done. I just did it on my 09 9-3 with the advanced lock system, it is messy and book 3 hours to do it first time.
Interesting enough... after trying this 3 times, it failed to work. Then, decided to remove the fuse, put it back in, woke up the next morning, held down the unlock button on drivers door and let the magic happen. It WORKED... but now, my auto window up and down does not work. Whatever... I rather the door lock work!
@@AceEqualityfor windows put all way down, then go up all the way and hold the switch up until you hear a click. Do this for all the windows you want to re set.
I have this issue but if i use the key fob to unlock the door twice, it unlocks the second time, any ideas. I have tried your method but it hasnt worked.
Man, I also have the same problem to my 2006 9-3 ! In which, the driver side lock work on & off, but the passenger side lock works normal.... Could you tell the part number so I can also order one for replacement ? Thanks !
Sorry thats not the issue ,I have had that years ago ,have owned it for 18 years . Its the little motor on the actuator dis simular metals on the contacts add solder and have never had a failure again . Same issue on wiper motor dis simular metals galvanic corrosion alumumin to copper
@@bradley7240 Just resolder the pins on the little PCB that delivers power to the motor. Give the pins some solvent and a toothbrush, same for the motor, but only clean the motor and not all the gear grease that is also in the box.
Tons of bollocks. It starts working in the morning not because you moved it manually a hundred times but because of lower temperatures. The problem gets worse in warmer weather. The case of the problem is a cold solder joint inside the lock itself. The only way to fix it properly is by soldering it again.
Because the guy in the video is talking bullshit. Case of the problem is a cold solder point inside the lock itself. It needs to be soldered again properly
Thanks for your positive feedback. Keep Saab alive!!!
Thanks boy. I habe suffered for five years with this problem. Ill try it right away. May gid bless you!
Saabs are such a love and hate relationship shes my bitch though 😂😩

Where to spray the WD-40 on? Directly to the door latch or from the upper door lock?

I'll give this a shot bc my rear passenger just started doing this a couple of months ago. I'll keep you updated. Thanks!
Didn't work ☹️

Sounds like a programming issue
My wife’s new fob doesn’t work and when she locks the door with door switch it Auto Unlock’s any thoughts?
I will try this but I have a different issue where my some of my doors unlock by themselves if i leave the car locked for more than a day.

Where do you add solder?
