  • Garden Gals and Guys, in this video I start by giving you a mini landscape and daffodil tour in the front garden beds - I kept it simple this year using only one Tulip blend, "The Big Ups" from Colorblends given my twin pregnancy. Fortunately, my husband and son managed to help me get some planted in the fall. Not as many as last year, but boy, were those tulips a welcome sight this Spring in the front garden! Furthermore, some of the unique daffs I planted last year have come back and I'm LOVING some of those varieities - especially British Gamble!
    I'm also happy to finally bring you some Spring cut flower bouquets made from my cut flower raised beds with tulips and anemones. Spring bouquets are such a delight in the Spring while all the other cold hardy seedlings and warm season annuals are waiting to get in the garden to grow. I'm MEGA pleased that my anemones came back for me this year in outstanding numbers given that they typically don't overwinter in Zone 5B (now 6A)!
    I take you along as I make my mother-in-law a birthday bouquet and explain how I grow my tulips for cutting in raised beds, show you some of my favorite varieties, and also document the difference a week can make in growth for tulips, as well as, how I put the bouquet together. Lastly, I cut some gorgeous anemones for a couple extra bouquets.
    I hope you enjoy this video and if you're on the fence about growing Spring flowers/bulbs - you jump over it - because they're so worth it! Give this video a like if you enjoyed it and remember to subscribe to my channel to follow along with all things garden!
    Thanks for watching! Happy Planting!

      Thank you, Gail! The past few years they’ve done so well in the raised beds. Highly recommend. Thank you for your sweet words and prayers. I’ve definitely slowed down, but hoping they stay put for at least a few weeks longer! ❤️

    Thank you for the tip to plant new tulip bulbs in my landscape each year. I planted some in the Fall and was hoping that they would return for next year. I had better replant so that I am not disappointed. 😊

      I absolutely love them. I thought that weak difference was pretty wild too. That’s what warm Spring temps will do!

    You have a beautiful, colorful display! Some squirrels or rabbits ate some of my tulip tops. I had to spray them. As much as I love tulips I think I'll be planting more daffodils instead. I really like that Exotic Emperor tulip. Bonny

      Aw, thank you! I wish - maybe in the future they’ll work with me if I make it big 😂 But I do think you’ll be very happy with their quality! Thank you…it’s the best sight for my eyes in the Spring every year. 😍

    Everything came up for you! Pretty Pretty ❤ I haven't gotten any of my anemones yet although they are starting but if I remember correctly that's one that you can harvest by giving a tug at the base and squeeze a bit more length out of it. Maybe give it a try. You are looking great these days!

    • @mhubertcfi
      @mhubertcfi 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Okay. So I was giving advice completely out of my a$$! Please disregard and continue to snip anemones low to the base. That teaches me to try to rely on memory 😂.

      lol pretty, pretty is right! No worries 😌 Thanks, I’m on the struggle bus, but hoping I can get a little better before they come!

    Soooo prettayyyy 😍 I just planted the alyssum I grew yesterday! Working on hardening off everything else, but it has proved to be tricky this year now that I’m not working from home anymore and I can’t put them out during the day other than the weekends 😅

    • @TinysGarden
      @TinysGarden  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yeah it gets tricky on a time crunch for sure! Fingers crossed you’ve figured it out!

      Yes lol I’m already realizing I don’t remember much of anything - I packed the hospital bag last night and I remembered outfits - that’s it 🤣 Oh brother. It’s going to be a learning curve, but we’ll figure it out! If you’ve got 4, I can handle 3 right?! 😳😄

    I like the tulip bouquet, only suggestion is to leave a couple of higher up leaves would have eliminated some of the holes.
